Scammers
Don't use this company for they take money out of your account without authorization, they are suppose to be a credit check company and monitor your security. I had used their services once and cancelled my subscription just after yet they still charge. Tried to get refund that's taken 6 months of emails and calls to fix. Now they will refund but I have to wait 14 to 21 days for the refund, they take your money instantly but a refund you are on hold. They are a scam, what your wallet.

i called last year to fix and pay my debt, instead operator sold me some membership, i was getting mails whole year that my id safe or not been used.
1st of all, i called to fix n pay, not asked for security service, because nothing can be approved until i fix my payment. so keep your security.
after one year they deducted yearly fee from my account, when i called and request to cancel, now they are asking details slowly and timely, 1st email: please send financial institution details, 2nd email: your date of birth and address, been more then a month in this process, no result.
please stay away, my personal experience is not good, looks like another marketing company to get you fool and make money.
thanks

Terrible!
Cancelled my Equifax Plus account in January before renewal for another year. Was still charged yearly fee and keep getting emails from them. Have phoned to cancel account, but when they ask why I'm calling they say to call back later as their system is down for maintenance...maybe I always call at the wrong time?

This company is fruadulent
I bought ID Basic for 39.95 which was according to the website was supposed to include:
1) credit alerts
2) identity watch
3) identity guard insurance
4) resolution center
Once I entered in all of my personal information including license etc and completed the setup process, it said there was an error and i needed to call to access my account. When I called the girl said to fix it she needs to upgrade my membership, I said ok as long as I get all of the inclusions I had paid for she said yes. Why is it allowed to continue on ripping people off. Come on Australia fight back.
I had a message saying credit alert so logged on only to be shown a message. This message was a change of terms they implemented, I could not read my alert until I agreed to there terms. So I declined as they where going to give my private details to third parties. Every time I declined it logged me out so I couldn't read my alert details, In disgust i clicked on agree just to read my alert. This is not a legal legitimate practice in my view as I should still have the option to read my alert as I pay for a useless subscription. Government shoul...Read more
d shut this organisation down for destroying peoples lives and dreams over poor operation. They have the power of god to control your and your family's life with no government intervention. Just not the Australian way. So to stop further yearly deductions I have canceled my card as this is the only way, as they never will if you ask them. This company needs immediate action taken on them.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

The whole credit check system is a scam
Today for the first time ever I was "refused" credit - required by a new electricity retailer to sign up for credit card direct debit, based on my credit report with Equifax.
I have 1 CC, 1 business credit account, a few energy accounts, that's it. Sure I paid a few bills a tad late, 1-2 weeks at most (overlooked), only 1 was several weeks due to expired CC (and they say direct debit is a good thing!) but most bills are paid early, I even prepay CC so the statement says $0 when mailed out. But no... I'm now apparently a credit risk with this...Read more
new enhanced credit rating system! I got a credit report today, and enrolled in the compulsory "we will bill you every year until you tell us otherwise" scam. Lots of complaints here about hard to get out, so I looked and apparently it is not easy to contact them: no postal address, no email address, no online email/form to un-enrol yourself (only to buy more so called "services"), just a phone number which many people said they had enormous problems getting through. Hmmmn. The report itself was totally useless. Very scant info. Nothing looked wrong at all. But somewhere hidden in that opaque and un-accessible system is something that tells companies you are a risk or unworthy of credit for a monthly electricity bill. RUBBISH. It's designed to reward regular borrowers and punish those who don't - ever increasing debt is needed to keep the global bubble going and this is 1 method to do it. Don't use Equifax's products and don't trust them. Businesses should not trust their data based on some bogus "credit score" that people have no way of seeing how it's concocted. And simply refuse to deal with entities that rely on using such questionable data.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

The worst customer service
I failed to renew my AMEX card because of my credit report which my bank asked me to contact Veda… I purchased the report and realized Veda hasn’t sync to ASIC for a year related to the directorship, lodged the ticket and call them in the morning to hope the issue resolved ASAP then submit the information to my bank again.
The first lady took me call and kept saying 30 days, 30 days, blah blah, I asked her supervisor support, she hanged the phone.
The 2nd lady would be nicer but disqualified, she told me they would need 30 days because ...Read more
they needed ask ASIC to changed it which was totally wrong because ASIC was data provider which had got the correct information – I had to explain to her like I were the support, finally she told she would ask her supervisor called me within 2-3 hours, I have been waiting a full day, nothing happening. I have never been experienced this kind of service. If this type of support useless, why use it, just close down and use online support only. I really want my bank not use it but it’s not my choice.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Stay away
Four years ago I needed my credit report in a hurry and paid 79.95 to get access to it. It seems that I got hooked up on an annual plan without realising. They have been taking annual payments of 79.95 ever since. I have not received any information from them the whole time other than the one credit report. I have asked the bank to change my CC number so it will not happen again. I will also dispute the latest payment asap. Reading the comments from others there are not much point to even trying to contact them today.

Worst service ever!!! I would have given them zero stars if it was possible!
I had to call 3 times and nobody was even able to speak proper English!!! I mean come on!!! Can you not find native English speakers to talk over the phone with people. I absolutely have no idea what the so-called customer service representative was talking about! And here is the best part: after so many efforts and time on phone and verifying my identity on the phone the whole 3 times, they asked me to send over my identity documents. ah! I wish I never had gone to them! worst service and experience ever.

Worst service ever experienced.
So i applied and 10 days later got the free report. They screwed up my name making it invalid, have no managers to speak with, won't give you anything on how to make complaints and refuse to fix it unless you send a copy of ID and wait 40 days. I can't explain the uselessness of this company and its service. Next time I'll pay a proper company.

Don't even bother trying to get a credit check
Can't even process a simple credit check. Everyday for a week they asked for new information (bank statements, licence scan, previous addresses etc). A waste of time and I never received the credit check in the end.

Equifax AKA Veda are unsafe, not accurate, and in the middle of millions of lawsuits by Americans af
Equifax is not a ethical company in any shape or form.
They hold irrelevant information on you from over a decade, and use that to cripple your credit rating, even if you've gone 6 years with no defaults.
Please do not use Equifax or Veda, as they're not to be trusted with your private details in ANY shape or form.

Scam
I signed up for a credit report, it did not go through and I had to apply again but this time somehow I subscribed to a yearly credit alert. Fast forward 3 years. I asked for a refund for the last year. Their emails were going to my spam box. They are spam.
I managed to cancel the subscription but now I have just been notified of a credit enquiry from a company FC CAPITAL HOLDINGS which I did not authorise. I have contacted F C CAPITAL HOLDINGS but the email to this company bounces and it goes straight to a directors personal voicemail whe...Read more
n you call. I would not be suprised if they are linked to Equifax and put in unauthorised credit enquiries so that you are afraid and think you need the credit alert subscription. I would like to know if anyone else has had a mysterious credit enquiry come up just when they cancel. Call your credit card company and get a ban on transactions from Equifax after you sign up. You can't trust them. You can also lodge disputes with them which I will do, their emails go to my spam that is not notification of subscription to me.Similar opinion? Credit Score, Credit Scam
Equifax. What a joke, website misleading, promises of "detailed" credit history report and weekly updates on your credit score when things change like credit limit reductions and payment history. NO what do you get for the $90 you fork out, well mine has only the credit application i have made in the last 4 years. According to EQUIFAX i owe 0.00 dollars to any financial institution, I have no credit limits, i have no defaults, no late payments, no court judgements, no writs no bankruptcy but still my score is average? 556 based on what? Their w...Read more
hole "customer portal" has great dash board to show you the total credit limit over 24 months and your payment history good and bad, but mine is empty? I have credit cards with major banks, i have personal loans, lease a car, have power, water, gas, phone and foxtel bills but none of this in the report or even mentions anything other than applications for credit. So i call their call centre (in the Philippines). Q. Can you please explain why my report has only credit applications and nothing else in it? A. "Sorry sir EQUIFAX only report the negative credit instances" So readers regardless if you got the credit or not applying for the credit is bad and so if your doing all the right things and paying on time never defaulting, paying down credit cards and then reducing your credit limit on those cards as you pay them down, paying your phone, water, gas, power, anything really you pay as a credit consumer is all useless info as EQUIFAX don't report that stuff. I would doubt that the other 2 do either (DUN & BRADSTREET and EXPERIAN) I then asked Q. why ins't the ANZ listed as one of the credit providers i currently have credit within the form of a personal loan and 2 credit cards? A. "the ANZ are not sending this information to us, they must be sending it to one of the other 2 reporting bureau's". So i call the ANZ as i have been a customer with them for over 30 years. i ask, Q. which of the 3 credit report bureau's do you report to? A."all 3". So now losing my mind i call EQUIFAX back and they again state that the ANZ are not reporting to them? So in short CREDIT SCORES and CREDIT REPORTS are another way to get your hard earned. Don't waste your time seeing if all the good things you are doing to reduce your credit dependency is actually having an effect on your so important "CREDIT SCORE" because it doesn't. They have all this info on you and you cant get it. They make it so easy to open an account log on pay your money get the report but then when you question it then the goal posts move. I called the gov site on FOI and privacy rules and basically they said you have to in writing lodge a compliant to EQUIFAX stating the info in the report is not accurate or lacking details. IN WRITING for Christ sake its 2017 we have smart frigging houses now but to get MY info on MY credit file i have to apply in writing?? Credit score, credit scam. Stay away from them all. I can't score them lower than 1 star won't let me.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Absolute Joke
Purchased annual credit report through Equifax for $80 as I needed to access it immediately. The online portal was displaying an error message when attempting to download as pdf or print. After 5 days, 4 calls and 4 emails and me having to reschedule with my mortgage broker, I finally received the report in my emails. Everyone was extremely unhelpful. No refund was offered even though the whole point of paying $80 is so that you can access your credit report straight away.
