The customer service was great
I had a problem with my score which eventually led to a correction being made by Equifax, and I am very unhappy still with the company being lazy in collecting the data from CBA and Macquarie. However, when I called Equifax, the phone respondent was very patient and helped me realising some stuff which I would never know about how banks delay reporting to Equifax as mandated by the law and known as CCR.
Her advice was great and am very happy of her help. I am premium member of Equifax as well. Not sure if this has anything to do with the service or not.

Worst customer service
My credit rating was stuffed up by equifax and another financial institution blaming each other on monthly updates. Equifax didnt even try to look at my monthly statements as a proof.

I paid $55 for a global police check from Equifax. I required this check for a job application. To process the application you must first pay online so that Equifax are assured of their money. I received an invoice and "paid" statement by email from Equifax on June 2018. Since then, I have received progressively aggressive emails more than once per month demanding payment for my overdue account. Also, there is no telephone contact to ring Equifax regarding this matter. Honestly the worst customer service experience ever
I was on hold for over 1 hour while the customer service agent I was speaking with checked details in an incredibly monotone voice that had been checked numerous times before. I was calling simply because I had not received a report I had requested on numerous occasions. The phone call ended up with the customer service agent suddenly realising that he could not process the report as I needed to update an authority- this should have been the first detail he identified. Worst customer service
If you like to listen to classical music, over and over again for hours and hours while you are on hold, this is the company for you. How the hell our credit file details end up with this Manila - Philippines base company is beyond my imagination. The Australian government should be shamed of itself.

This company if you could call it that hung up on me 3 times and had me on hold for over 2 hours.
When I finally did get through to a so called ‘customer service agent’, she was rude and not very helpful.

How can this company be in charge of our credit ratings, which can affect our future? A joke!
Everything on my credit file is wrong "no defaults, so I am not being a bitter person" but trying to get them to correct my credit rating to show I've paid off a lot of debt and closed those accounts, and also have a home loan now, is akin to pulling teeth! My rating is so low I cannot even get a $2000 credit card, but I have a house and a car I'm paying off, with perfect payment history, that does not show on my credit rating. Like Veda before them these people are a joke. They should not be permitted to have access to our details, oh, and don't try calling them, as you will receive an overseas call centre and the operators can barely speak English. Absolute joke, you are messing with peoples futures here and you just don't give a damn

Impossible to deal with - get nowhere
All i needed was a copy of my credit file so i could see what wasn't aligning with the information I gave the bank. i suspected it was a simple change of name which happened 2 years ago when i got married. I completed the online process and got an email back saying they held no file matching the information i had provided. I contacted them and spoke to someone on the phone and explained the situation and was asked to send through documentation which I did. I then just get another email saying there's no credit file. s, it seems their customer service isn't really trained to listen to the situation and genuinely help. Unfortunately I have no choice but to keep trying as I need the credit file to activate my company credit card and get a bank login set up so that i can actually do my job. Dishonest Company
Disgusted! I only log on for a one off request four years ago and they been charging my Credit card with no tax invoice!. They will take your call very quickly and take your money quickly but, there is no one to talk to to get your refund!!!!

I have no credit card debt own my home outright and have saving. Equifax advised ANZ I am a bad risk. Tried calling Equifax and they will restore my credit score for 80 dollars. It's not the money it's the principle.

Candidate going through background checks
I've found dealing with equifax a really poor experience. Everything feels far harder than it should be. It says I haven't completed the necessary checks but it's not clear what is missing. Poorly done overly.

Very bad customer service
Just called up to inform that my financial institution advised to update details those are not upto date. Agent listened to my issue and kept me on hold for long time and hung up without any advise or update. I don't give a damn whether your records are updated or not. I was able to convince financial institute with more upto date and verifiable details than equifax did. not a useful service at all.

Equifax deception by omission
The Australian Government web site of “Office of the Australian Information Commissioner” advised I could get a free credit report from Veda (now Equifax) once a year on certain conditions, as applies in my case.
I requested a free report a year previously, which I received, and thought no more of it. A year later I received an email from Equifax, a company I did not recognise, stating “You have a 12 month membership, after which you'll automatically renew for a further 12 months.”

Disgusting
I thought I was doing the right thing . Bout to do lots of paper work regarding loans . So I thought I'd go with Equifax oh no . I realized it is not a one off it is coming out of my account every month .their phone does not work . I have not received any calls back or to cancel my account which is near $100 a month . Scam

Modern day robbery by foreign company
Manilla based robbers. Veda somehow has passed all credit details on and Equifax is robbing everyone. I'm still on hold trying to speak to someone but as per previous calls you get out on hold and no one ever answers. Be aware be very aware.

1 star too many
Have spent more than a month now trying to subscribe on behalf of the company I work for. Apparently there is a note against the company and we are trying to find out what it is about. Cannot complete online subscription form - have tried multiple times. Cannot speak to anyone to assist - have left numerous messages. Seriously beyond useless.

Dumbest most pathetic company ever had to deal with ...Ever
There was a wrong default on my account and the defaulting company contacted them over and over again to have default removed and Equifax claim they hadn't received anything although Equifax sent through confirmation that it had been removed but still appears on my file. This has caused me an enormouse amount of stress as i can't get approved for a home loan until it is removed. They absolutely stink and the government needs to look into the practices of this company since they hold some very private and critical information.
