Great BBQ - even better with the hood.
I've had mine for almost 5 years and I'm just about to replace the grill.
Being able to start the coals with the gas so quickly is unreal - means you can easily cook for 2/3 people with coals without waiting hours.

Great BBQ, I have also brought the roasting hood, and rotisserie kit. Both add-ons are great but the hood particularly makes it amazing. Add's so many options for cooking, Have even tried low and slow ribs. Such a shame this model has been discontinued. I believe the new electric ones don't have the hood which is disappointing.

I also recommend buying a cast iron grill plate (standard bunnings ones fit) Really helps to sear a steak.

They should bring the eChurrasco back. If it had adjustable air vents and a hood temp gauge it would be the only BBQ you ever need.

We purchased another dual fuel bbq and after spending 2 hours assembling it realized the shocking build quality and returned it. We then picked up the e-churrasco. Great build quality, very little assembly. Easy to get the coals (natural or briquettes) going and great after market accessories. Everyone should have one.

Bought this unit a week ago and loving it so far. Cooked on it twice, butterflied whole chicken was divine. Scotch fillet with a bbq rub delicious. The 8 + 8 minute method works a treat. Yet to cook a gas bbq but not sure I'll even bother the charcoal grilling is working that well. Next step is to experiment with different fuels. Eye is on some imported Japanese binchotan charcoal and yakitori. Easy to clean too. As a keen observer of user experience design this has knocked it out of the ballpark already

Great BBQ Have had this for over 2 years and on the original LPG bottle. The Manufactures have now added a Hood as an accessory so that makes roasting easy . This is a great bbq, it is quick to get to heat and easy to clean. Highly recommended.

The coal beads lights up in 8 mins as described and adds a great flavour to the food.
As a gas bbq, it works really well too. Lamb racks, Chicken tenderloins cook fairly quickly.
Sometimes though when the wind is really strong, the coal beads are not as effective.

Highly recommend though.

This is a really smart dual fuel bbq that allows you to get your heatbeads burning by using the gas, then you switch off the gas and cook over the coals. Takes about 8 mins using the gas and another 7 minutes for the coals to burn in. Or, you can just use the gas if you want. Doesn't have a hood so you can't bake or anything but that's not what I wanted it for (use weber for that). Love this BBQ, its brilliant!!
Compact, portable, fuel efficient, fast, great for grilling meat over the coals, good quality bbq at a reasonable price ($349)
Not really a negative but it does not have a hood. I'm told they might be bringing out a hood as an accessory in the future.
