How do I empty a Sabco carpet cleaner

See the 2 black metal tabs underneath, each tab has the word 'push' written at each end. Use your thumbs on both words to push and the tray will spring up. Then you can clean that side. I use my vacuum cleaner. Hope that helps.

Take it back to the shop you bought it from and exchange for another one. My first Sabco had faulty cogs.

Hi Michelle,
Yes, you can take it back to where you purchased it and they'll replace it. Or you can email our customer service team [email protected] and they can organise a replacement for you.
Thanks

I've just bought a carpet sweeper and I and my husband have spent a very, very frustrating half hour desperately trying to see how to open it for emptying. I finally found that someone had put an answer to this question on this site, but even then it was difficult to see what they meant by "pull the knobs at the end of the black brushes". You have "Push" on the metal plates, but pushing just makes the whole assembly bounce up and down, it doesn't open the flaps. PLEASE put some proper instructions on or in the box! My husband finally pulled on the little square rubber bristles and the flap opened and then we could understand what to do. It's one of those things that must be so obvious to you, that you don't realise what a mystery it is to your customers! We were scared that we were going to break it - in the photo you have on the box, it looks as if the flaps open from the middle not from the edge. So this isn't really a question I suppose, more like feedback for you. Thanks!, Wendy

I pulled the rollers out to clean them (Sabco Triple Action Carpet Sweeper) now it is hard to push.
Is there a specific way to put them back or maybe a diagram

Hi digga5 -
Thanks for contacting us.
The Carpet Sweeper is not actually designed to be pulled apart and reassembled, which is probably why it isn't working as well as it used to.
Whilst we don't have instructions for this, if you give us a call on 1800 066 522 our customer service team will try their best to help you.

Hi Robyn -
I'm sorry but we don't have replacement brushes for the Triple action carpet sweeper.
We find that if you use the clip on brush to clean them brushes regularly, they last a very long time.
Hope this helps.

You can unscrew the handle but it doesn't take up much room anyway.

Hi cute_meow -
The carpet sweeper folds flat very easily, but you can also unscrew the pieces of the handle to store it if space is a real issue.

Hi all, I just bought my new carpet sweeper but I couldn't find any information regarding warranty time.
I realise they are only $33.00 but that is a fair bit for me. Hopefully I will never need to use warranty, but you can never tell.
Could someone enlighten me on warranties etc please?

I'm not sure but it may be 12 months. That is something you would have to take up with the manufacturer.

Hi Dave A -
Thanks for contacting us - great to hear of your new purchase!
Australian Law states that all products purchased in Australia are covered by warranty that is fair and reasonable (ie. provided the product has been used reasonably and for the purpose described, and it should break within a reasonable time from purchase).
We have sold many Carpet Sweepers and rarely do we get any complaints on this line, however please rest assured that if you were to ever experience any problems you can contact us on 1800 066 522 and our Customer Service team will be more than happy to assist.
Have a great day!

Simply turn your sweeper upside down and lift the plastic knobs at the end of the black brushes and empty contents into bin.

Hi Wendy, I've used it on my vinyl kitchen floor and it works ok but I don't have any bare wood floors although I don't see why it would be any different to the vinyl floor.

Hi Wendy -
Thank for contacting us.
The carpet sweeper is specifically made for use on carpet and soft floor coverings, however it certainly does work on hard floors as well.
Happy cleaning!

Morning Clive, not that I know of but a new sweeper was a bit over $30 last time I bought one at Bunnings.

Thanks for your answer. AJC. I also bought one of the newer models from Bunnings. It's a far more flimsy affair than the older one which was built on a metal casing with much more substantial brushes. I still have the barrel of the brush so I may go to all local Blind Institute brush manufacturing outfit and see if they can re-bristle it.

Hi Susi, I only use it on carpet but i can't see any reason why it wouldn't work on hard floors.

Sabco

Good Afternoon Susi,
Thank you for contacting us!
This product is only designed to be used on carpet. As the brushes work by irritating the dirt out of the carpet pile.
However we do have a range of Long Handled Dustpans, Indoor Brooms and Spray Mops that are great for hardwood floors.

Please have a look at our website, www.sabco.com.au for more products.

I don't know the answer to that - sorry. But it is very frustrating that we have this carpet sweeper that does not do what it's meant to do :-(

Sabco
Sabco C.Sabco

Good Afternoon Alex,
Apologies for the delay in response.

Can you please advise how long you've had the carpet sweeper for? We do expect some wear & tear for the carpet sweeper.
However if you've just recently purchased it, it should not be doing this, it should have full contact to be able to move the brushes.

The Sabco Carpet Sweeper has a 2-year full replacement guarantee.
So if you could please return it to the place of purchase for an exchange, and the store will be able to replace it.

Please note, a receipt is not required for an exchange.

Thank you - Sabco

We use the cleaning brush that came with it. You can turn wheels which moves brushes as you are using attachment. Use horizontally on brushes. Seems to be working for us. Good luck!!

Is this product suitable for vinyl floors?

1 answer
Disappointed
Disappointed

Hi Steve, Since the product was designed to pick up particles off carpet I don't know whether it would be effective on vinyl or hard floors. It has large and small brushes which turn and flick the particles into a small tray. If the carpet is too dense or the pile too long it does not pick up at all. Sorry I could not be more helpful.

The small brushes can be removed and a tool for cleaning them is provided with the sweeper, however they are short bristled and if you have animals they clog up very quickly. The brushes are on a thick wire base and you have to bend them a little to get them out.
