Very good, very small laptop backpack
You can't fault the quality on this bag, and it has a host of features but I think what I didn't realise is how small it is. So that's good for limited city travel where you just want to take a laptop, but I guess I was hoping for some internal space in addition for something small like a jumper, or a packed lunch, but the Studio is so slim once you have the laptop, keyboard (or tablet), mouse, charger, and cables, you're almost full. I do fit a pair of over ear head phones as well, but I suppose I just underestimated how small it would be. It ...Read more
is certainly a compact low bulk item. The bag does tend to always fall forward when rested on the floor. It's predictable so you always know which way to lean it but note it has no stability to stand and will always fall over. It has well a variety of useful compartments, although it still has a couple of those miniscule little pockets with no fastener that will probably only fit a SIM card or SD card, but you'd never leave one in there because it could float out with movement because there's no seal to the compartment, but all the backpacks seem to have those and the Studio has fewer than most, Despite those compartments, there are none that are full width A4. You can fit A4 in the back compartment next to the laptop and tablet sleeves, but that's where you'll have your charger. There are two compartments cutting the width in half, which stops smaller items sliding around but prevents you putting in the stack of papers you've probably got with you. Then there's the travel card pocket on the strap. This is a handy pocket but the zip does not fully follow the edge. This means that to get a standard card in you have to slide in the one half and then work the other half over the edge of the card. It doesn't just slide in. This makes it a bit fiddly and not as smooth as you might be hoping as you push through the crowd to get through the barrier. I felt like the Everki Studio was a good choice for a compact city backpack, but not quite as good as I hoped with these niggles, and at the end of the day, I think they could've made it a little more spacious without compromising the overall size too much. Don't expect to carry much extra other than your laptop and accessories.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
