Exelpet Capstar For Cats and Dogs
For Cats and Small Dogs, For Medium and Large Dogs (See All)Gave my cat capstar and 45 mins later she was convulsing, vomiting and running around like she was going crazy. After 2 hrs she calmed down but was quite weak and lethargic. Not worth the distress for your pet. Definitely don't recommend this product.
Purchased in November 2020 for $34.

I would never recommend this product or buy again. My cat had a bad reaction, was running around, crying in fear and pain, heart pounding and panting. Contacted the manufacturer and they completely dismissed my concerns.
Purchased in February 2022 at Banana Joes.
Questions & Answers
Can you use this on a pregnant cat?
Given that it's not uncommon for cats to have dramatic reactions to this product I definitely would not.
DO NOT USE. I had the unfortunate experience of suffering through my unpregnant cat’s reaction as within a minute her heart was pounding so hard, I thought it was going to explode whilst I sat there so helpless watching her gasping for air. To use this on a pregnant cat I can only assume it would either kill the kittens or induce immediate labour.
i treated my cat with spot on then read it doesn't kill adult fleas.can she take capstar while she has the spoton on her?will it make her sick ?
Thanks for the reviews. I was about to buy this online- have now cancelled my order?

Pain points with Exelpet Capstar
A number of cat owners reported concerning side effects in their cats after administering this medication.
These adverse effects were consistently reported in cats of different ages, and included crying, vomiting, running around in panic, and seizures. Fear and distress were also experienced by both cats and their human companions.
Dog owners also reported negative side effects, however reviewers with dogs were more likely to report that the product was ineffective at killing fleas more than anything else.
Several dog owners wrote that their pets were still infested with fleas, despite feeding their dogs the tablets continually as directed.
Positive reviews
There are also a handful of positive reviewers citing the effectiveness of this medication when it came to killing fleas on their pets.
These reviewers reported that pets often become extremely itchy for a few hours after the tablet is taken, as fleas become hyperactive and bite a lot before dying.
Others stated that Exelpet Capstar worked well as an immediate treatment to kill adult fleas, but pointed out that a separate medication is required to kill flea eggs and larvae, and to prevent fleas from coming back.
