Love it!
This machine although quite old now, washes clothes really well. It is a bit on the noisy side and has only had one part replaced so I think it that is pretty good given the age of it and the number of loads it has done over the years. I find that ALDI detergents work best and this is evident with the cleanliness of the clothes!

Great machine
Well made reliable and a good size for average sized laundry areas. Since getting around 12 years of use from the previous F and P machine I decided to upsize to this model.
The auto everything function does a great job of washing clothes and has options for delicates reducing the speed of the impeller blades so as not to damage clothing articles.
Heavy duty mode seems to work very well with the appropriate quality powder and additives to remove grease/oil stains from my overalls.
Very happy with this model and easy to set up level with adjustable feet for flooring uneveness.
A great product you will be satisfied with for many years.

Excellent - Purchased for my mum
I purchased this washing machine for my mum who was only used to the hand dial manual operation of a top loader washing machine. The people from the Good Guys installed it and removed my mum's old machine. This machine was easy to use as I could not assist my mum as I live in a different state and she found it easy to use and for someone who doesn't even have an ATM card or a mobile she could operate it and I found that was amazing. She loves her machine and said it even beeps when it is finished. Oh the small things.

Happy with my new washer
Fantastic washer which is fast and efficient. There is an 'Eco' feature which saves about 25% water if you choose this option. The machine is quiet and spins so well there is hardly any drying time when on the line. Many more options for heavy duty or delicates and it has a lid lock feature when clothes are spinning. Very happy with our choice.

Very functional washing machine
Great washing machine. Small but powerful. I was looking for an affordable and functional top loader washing machine for my small apartment. It ticks all boxes for me. It works very quick and washes well and clean. It is very easy to use and quiet when it is in use.

Very simple and easy to use
No arbitrary nobs or dials or calligraphy styled icons to decipher here. Just straight up simple design that can start a load in a handful of button presses in seconds.
Had variation of these models for years now, never had issues.
This smaller model suits my needs fine, if I were ever to upgrade or need another to accommodate more people then I'd likely just get a larger version within the same model.

Excellent small machine
Cleans clothes very well there are so many wash cycles to choose from it is so basic to use. Due to having a small agitator, clothes don't get tangled and worn out, holds a fair bit of a load. Love that it is quiet and I love that it plays music at the end to signal end of load.

This is a must buy!
Different options for type of wash and how much water you want to use. Reliable and safe to use for any and all clothing you may have. Will do a full load in just over an hour, but worth the wait, with your clothes coming out clean and not dripping wet

brilliant washing machine
This is a great washing machine but it does leave residue on black items in particular.
The machine is very very quiet.
I like the 'fuzzy' feature where is determains how much water is needed.
I also love the fact that it has no turntable in the machine so makes it easy to wash doonas and blankets

Meets our needs and keeps working
I downsized to the 5.5kg model for almost a year and have used it heaps. No mechanical problems. It is incredibly quick yet the clothes seem to be cleaned properly. My double-bed sized 2-sheet set with pillow cases fit in it just fine. I'm not sure if I could do the doonas and underblankets though like I could with my previous 7+kg model. In terms of the frustrations, every washer I've owned whether front or top loader, Simpson or F&P, is loud, has damaged my clothes etc etc. I have had to change my own technique; it's not just this brand. ...Read more
- To wash 2 sheets, I give each sheet its own side of the tub, don't overlap them to start with. Stretchy material like bonds singlets and undies have to go on Regular wash (not heavy duty wash) with Medium spin (not fastest spin), otherwise mysterious holes will appear. I have to wash items with different fluff and dye content separately so sometimes I end up with a few different piles but I'd rather pay the extra power and water for another load than buy replacement clothes. I also think about the order I wash the piles - for instance, I prefer not to do a dark load straight after a towel load.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best washing machine I have ever had
Fantastic washing machine - very quick and washes well. I have had it for some years and it has never missed a beat. The only problem now is the filter needs a clean and I can't work out how to do it. Help! Helen

I am a convert - this washing machine is great!
Washes everything very well & so easy to use! I would recommend this washing machine to anyone & have done so since we bought it - can be a bit noisy in the last spin cycle but that's ok. I used to use Simpson washing machines but I'm an F & P convert

Not big enough for sheets
Since we bought this machine it has never been able to wash bedding. Duvet covers, sheets all get twisted into unbelievable knot's. You cannot wash two sheets at a time, just one. You will have to open the lid and unwind duvet covers at least once. If you overload it it throws itself all over the room spilling water. If you can afford it get the 6.5kg one.

Great product
Excellent machine. Built well, washes great, looks good, simple easy to understand controls. Especially love the one touch button that can be programmed to bring up your fav settings. Clothes in, detergent in, press one button and start. Brought as a replacement for an older F&P top loader and main difference is the motor is super quiet - you can hear the movement of the drum and water sloshing but not much more. Ignore the one star energy rating if you only wash cold - it washes in cold water perfectly and this makes it more energy efficient than front loading machines that often need hot water to wash well. Zero problems with clothing wear for me. Highly recommend.

Quality build components but can be bruital on clothing
This machine has given me no problems at all mechanically, and looking at others reviews it seems that it is very well built. My biggest gripe is that the agitator is very aggressive and can (and has) ruin delicates. It has sharp edges and changes direction with aggression. There is also no lint filter that is present to be cleaned and so it can leave your washing a disaster if not properly sorted out. Lastly, it only washes for 10 mins and then spends the next 20 minutes or so filling and emptying for rinses, meaning that it doesn't wash ...Read more
for long and it uses a LOT of water. There has to be better machines out there. PROS + Quality & Reliability - Well built, trouble free use and I would recommend the brand name CONS - If you want a thorough wash you will always be running back to the machine to repeat the wash before it drains. - Can leave a mess of lint throughout the load without care - Can leave your garments ruined without careSimilar opinion? Fantastic Machine
I have been using it for more than 10 years and never fails me. The spin is fast and helps to dry my cloth before putting it to my dryers. I am moving house and got a new washing machine on my new house. I will need to sell mine. But before I say good bye to this machine, I'll make sure I write the review on it. It is amazing machine!

Ruins clothing
This is the most awful washing machine I have ever owned. It has pilled so many of my garments and left permanent lint embedded in them. I purchased the lint filter of the machine and STILL it is awful (only slightly better). Put new clothing in and it will come out looking old. Beware!

Love this machine.
Great washing machine. Wash cycle is quick and when you are busy that's what you want. It is gentle on your wash but cleans very well. I am very fussy when it comes to my washing and I couldn't be happier with this machine. I highly recommend the Fisher & Paykel QuickSmart Top Loader.

VERY RELIABLE WASHING MACHINE
the MW60 Fisher and Paykel gives me a perfect cycle wash every time without any wear to my clothes, it is an extremely quiet machine and superbly reliable. Having had a Fisher and Paykel 5.5 kg top loader previously which also was trouble free for more than 14 years it was a no brainer to purchase another Fisher and Paykel in which I have complete confidence and certainly recommend to anyone looking for a quality top loader washing machine

Great machine
I have consistently found Fisher & Paykel machines to be really good, so bought one again when we moved to Sydney last year. The clothes come out much cleaner and the wash cycle is quick. Also the wash itself is quite quiet, although the spin is noisier. The only downside is that I have had some shirt buttons destroyed on one particular shirt, but I now wash it in a laundry bag and the problem hasn't reoccurred. I would recommend this machine.
