When towing - loss of power or boost. No instrument indication as to why. Switch off & on, ran ok for short time then back to no power. Any reason why ???
Had similar issues with my work vehicle. 2016 px2. I tracked it to a faulty map sensor in the air box. They only $120 from ford which kinda yells you they are a weak point when priced that cheap. Have replaced two now. Sometime I get a check engine light other times it's just in limp mode without telling you. I've since found that if I actually wait till all the check lights go out before starting engine the problem hasn't been back. If I get impatient and just key it to start right away then all sorts of erronus data gets logged. Seems it needs a period before engine start of ten seconds to warm up sensor before correct readings occur. Hope this helps.
Thanks. Turned out to be at the service the lines were mixed up on the fuel filter. All fixed now.
My clutch Ford Ranger 2017 XLS Manual brought it in 2018 and later is slipping [ burning smell] told the agent in Wagga Wagga about but nothing was done only said it is ok and the same when the motor jumps when you slow up then speed up again in first or second gear again said it was ok Bull, but the clutch is not right as t had the same problem years ago with other vehicles that i own and i knew when the clutch is faulty also it has only done 29000 Km's
Insist the agent checks it out. Check for recalls on the ACCC website. I've had issues with the clutch, dealership could never find and now expected to pay probably $1600+, since it's no longer under warranty. Have been to Vic Consumer Affairs. Long process. Suggest you ring Ford Australia as well. then you will have a case number which cannot be ignored. Persist, persist, persist. Also make sure you keep records and if not provided ask for a printout each time the agent checks it out each.
They at wagga told me that it was the catalytic converter that when it starts it some smells like it BUT they have it on record now so if it does then they have to do something about also mine is also out of warranty, but they been told.

Just one last thing these Rangers were never sold in the USA between roughly 2013 to 2022 as when you look for parts for a 2017 model they do not list any, cheers

2015 may ranger PX xlt 3.2 auto. is this normal When in 4low using hDC the car still run away and you have to apply brakes.. Also when climbing in 4L it seem to have no range in the gears and is very very slow no second gear it seems ??. and hwne trying to go back to 4h it would not switch back whne using correct procedure (N then switching) any feed back would be useful ta
Wildtrak 3.2 auto thuds/clunks into 6th gear at about 75 -85 Klm/hr. Sometimes I completely lose 6th gear. This fault happens intermittantly but is happening more often. 2022 with 31,000 Klms. Dealer doesn’t seem concerned, they dropped a new program into gearbox computer. No change. Anybody had an issue like this.

Has anyone else had an issue with the engine coolant over temp alarm going off? Gauge on dash constantly moving always under temp never over.
2017 3.2l xl spacecab.
Coolant level is fine, sensor has been replaced (alarm went off straight away), pulled thermostat out Which stopped alarm for a week but has now started again! It’s driving me nuts as it beeps at me every 200-1000m at times.
One thing I have noticed is the noise from aircon under passenger dash has picked up. And I have used 4wd a few times we just aren’t sure if it was before alarm started. We’ve scanned it and no major codes come up. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the fuel economy has gone out the window because it’s always reading cold engine

hi everyone,i have 2022 px.III wildtrak.i bought 14 months ago got 28k on the clock.recently i have seen puddle of clear hot water leak underneath the car when i use the heater.pressure checked and serviced everything seems normal they said (ford service) anyone having same problem as mine with their ranger?did’t have this water leak in 14 months and started happening a week ago.

G'day everyone...I have used 3 full fuel tanks of diesel since new and the best milege I'm getting is10 .19 litres per 100kms..and this is on a 2 litre bi- turbo ..nowhere near Ford s 6.7 litres per 100kms claim..id be happy with 7.5 litres per 100k.s ..i realise it's still a very new car/ engine but I belive this is way too high considering it's a 2 litre twin turbo ...95% highway driving ...any ideas as too why it is so thirsty .?????
Hey guys, at the moment i've got a 2015 Mk2 XL Ranger second hand, and wanted to do some modifications. Is it possible to replace the entire tub with an XLT or XLS tub or do I have to stick with the same model tubs to replace it. Sorry if this seems stupid, I'm just new to all of this and don't want to make any mistakes
