No idea re Hawaii maps Kaluah, sorry but I'm in Aus. Maps and updates here were part of the deal at purchase.

Sorry, as previous answer, can't help as I'm also in Oz and got the same map and update deal with the purchase.

Go to their website and have a look at the downloadable voices ..... I wouldn't know a Kiwi from a Tasmanian.

Just use some force and it snaps in.

G'day Thony, no idea sorry, just a newby GPS (car) owner myself. Try the Garmin site or one of the electronics/appliance sites perhaps.

I'd be taking it back to point of purchase and seeking their advice. I've heard several reports of that happening.

Have had that problem only once and just held down power button for about 10 seconds and shut it down.

When restarted it remembered our set route and we continued on with no further problem.
