Very good overall:
I've had my bike since 2015 and ride it religiously 3 days a week for an average of 150 to 200 clicks a week. Riding season is five months long in Sudbury Ontario.

Stock tires suck so I put 28 inch Marathons and have not had a puncture in 3 years. No other parts were added except for a GPS that tracks current and average speed, distance travelled and time on the bike. Riding experience: Zero problems with the bike - just good riding. I do a 50 km ride on mostly flat terrain in just over 2 hours. 25kms an hour average speed. I hit almost 60kms an hour downhill. I am not into racing or best times, just into the enjoyment and freedom and fitness of the experience. I keep fit and slim this way. Maintenance: I wash my bike twice a week and degrease and lube it once a month. It runs and looks brand spanking new. The 105 group set works perfectly fine. It is very dependable, reliable and sharp looking. Ritchy Dubé

The best bike I know!
This is a great bike it is fast and has great features. Like it! Did not like the standard pedals the over street is good, like the weight as well. I did did have to order but the wait was well worth it a good buying experience, well worth the price.

Fastroad to fun and fitness
After a 12 month break from cycling due to injury, I began to ride again at the end of 2016. Gradually the distances increased as did the realisation that the 29er MTB was not a great bike for faster rides. I am almost 52 and not a super fit athlete but I do have a competitive nature- I like to challenge myself against my Strava times :)
After some research I settled on a Giant Fastroad Comax 1, 2016.
I picked it up last Saturday and took it for a 82km ride the following day. I had it fitted with SPD pedals and changed the tyres to Continenal...Read more
28mm Touring Plus for better traction on unsealed paths. What a revelation! Light and very maneuverable, efficient gears, good riding position with the wider grips and handy bar ends. The handlebars are a good witdth too. The 105 gears shift smoothly even under load. The tyres run at 80psi but the frame soaks up bumps nicely. The seat is ok comfort wise but I'd recommend padded shorts for longer rides. My only gripe is with the brakes. They will stop you but feel a bit 'soft' and lacking bite - perhaps an adjustment is required. All in all, I am very pleased with the bike.

Great Bike! Light, Quality Product
Just bought it last month. Changed Pedals (as i won't clip in) also added a heads up(raises the riding position) and, a more comfort seat. Also upgraded tyres to a top maxis 28. I am 68/1/2 so ride for fitness. I enjoy the light Carbon Frame bike. Great to ride and a dream to handle. It does make me Quicker but, not that much. i understood that! I don't ride in an aero position and, the changes i made make that worse. I was willing to pay that for a lovely carbon responsive bike. I am doing RPM classes to build a better riding game. So my circumstances make this bike a great choice.

Terrible Customer Service
I purchased a Giant Fast Road Comax 1 appx 3mnths ago for $ 2000.00. After riding appx 22K per day on a fairly flat terrain, 5 days per week…. after 2 mnths my front break didn’t work well so recently I went to my local bike shop which sold me this bike. I was told that both brake rotors had to be replaced @ the discounted cost of $ 200.00 I must say I was shocked and expected that it should be covered by Giant warranty. So I wrote to Giant...and to cut THE long story short Giant showed no interest in supporting me and instead gave me no of reasons why this was my problem. SO MUCH FOR THE WARRANTY AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT ONCE THE SALE HAS BEEN MADE.
Very disappointed customer.
