Excellent
Very stiff carbon frame. Great bike very responsive and quick to accelerate. However tubeless tyres take some getting use to.
Now components are really good. BikeRadars bike of the year for 2018. Can't go wrong with Giant as they make frames for many other brands and they keep their best stuff for themselves.

Everything you ever ask for
Upgraded from my first road bike a Giant Defy Adv2, Wow what a difference, the defy is marketed as an endurance bike more comfy less speed, the Tcr is racier more speed and to my surprise more comfortable. I have done 2000km on the Tcr in the last 2 months and loved every km. Looked around at other brands but Giant unlike some other brands don't skimp on the group set so the group set on Tcr is all Ultegra

Review of the Giant TCR Advanced 2
This is a fantastic bike and far more comfortable than some of the other reviews may lead you to believe. I was considering the Defy as an alternative for a short while as I was swaying towards the more relaxed geometry. However, after riding 1000Km on the TCR I am more that content with the feel of it. I am 170 cm and ended up purchasing the medium sized frame; I initially believed that the small sized frame would have been more appropraite, yet the shop near Melbourne persuaded me otherwise. What a wise decision from them. The main advantage ...Read more
of the TCR over my older style Lemond Reno is the overall increase in average speed. What was the normal cruising along at 28km/hr has now increased to 32km/hr which can be continued for extremely long periods along the flat with relative ease. Meanwhile acceleration from this up to say 40 Km/hr along the flat is easy to achieve and I really don't consider myself to be a particular good rider in any shape or form. Gear change on the Ultegra shifters is very sharp and there is a feeling of 100% energy transfer from you to the ground through the bike. Every once in a while I wished that I had a bike with a compact gear ratio as some of the mountains within country Victoria could have been made a lot more easy on the ascent with a smaller front crank. However after speaking to other experienced riders who sometimes use a smaller granny gear of 23 (whereas the TCR uses a 25), their viewpoint is to stop being soft and accept that this shortfall lies with the rider and not the bike and that a few less visits to the biscuit tin/more practice would help within this matter. Great bike which is locked up in a locked garage. Say no more!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
