Very happy.
I bought my first GHD in around 2004 and been a loyal fan ever since. Over the last 10 years I have broken a few from standing on them, but that was completely my fault.
When I went to buy a new one I read that GHD weren't what they use to be. I considered a cloud 9, but read that they had lots of problems with faults so that turned me off. I also have fine hair but a lot of it so it looks thick but feels fine when you touch it. So I was desperately trying to find a product that would help my hair instead of making the condition of my hair worse. I found GlamPalm on Facebook in my news feed about a year ago and since then have kept my eye on this brand and did a lot of research into the company and decided to give it a go. Finally, irons that actually work!
I received the GHD rose gold after years of using older GHD's. The new GHD's were a huge disappointment; barely did a thing to my thick hair and frizz would return later in the day. I sold them on Ebay. I did a LOT of research, trying MUK, Cloud Nine, GHD platinum etc. I did like the Cloud Nine's but the poor reviews regarding all sorts of problems couldn't be ignored. tly feel like I've been to the hairdresser! I got the GP 313 which are slightly wider for my thick hair. Cons a little heavy and I have to vary the temp each time after turning them on (doesn't revert to the last use temp), but I can live with this. I do recommend them.Similar opinion? I'm in the same position as most people on here, had a GHD for 8 years that never let me down and when it finally bit the dust I didn't know what to do. I considered GHD, Cloud 9 & SAS and then Glam Palm... ear warranty shows a lot of confidence in their product and now having used it I can see why. I have long, thick curly hair and the Glam Palm glides through it easily at not even the highest temperature. It leaves my hair straight for days and feels so much softer and smoother than with even my old GHD - it feels like a big upgrade. I highly recommend it and am so happy I picked this straightener.

Constant beeping
My glampalm constantly starts beeping and then starts to cool down. Not functional and not usable. Started doing this after only 1 year. Can't get more than 10 seconds of use out of it before unplugging and trying again.

Good straightener in beginning, ruined my hair later on
My old GHD from 2004 is the best straightener I've ever owned. I unfortunately lost it after 8 years and it was still going strong.
The reviews of Glam Palm seemed too good to be true, all 5 star and couldn't find much info on the brand. I can verify that the straightener is good and leaves my hair silky and feeling good.
***update*** After 2 years this hair straightener has turned my growing hair into a broken mess. It has also ruined my expensive human hair extensions. Do not recommend.. I miss my old GHD :(

s, which is unfortunate as I had high expectations after the reviews. I am not one to write bad reviews either, but I love my hair and purchased this straightener based on these reviews. The GlamPalm has exact the same plates as the old ghd as we used to manufacture the ghd originally from 2001-2008.

I think i done the same thing with everyone else wanting something better than a ghd. i most definitely done my research with this product and have fallen absolutely in love with it! My thicker longer hair actually stays straight all day!. Its a pitty its not a big brand cause its the best product iv ever brought! I recommend it to every one i know! ter 2 hours of using it, no matter what type of weather it was, it would pouf up straight away. The temperature control on it also makes a big difference, as sometimes I only need to use a certain temperature on my hair. I love my GlamPalm.1 comment

I Love My GlamPalm..But
I love my GlamPalm GP313, but everytime i use it, it gives off a smell/vapour that gives me a sore throat. At first i thought it might be the heat protector i sometimes used on my hair, so i stopped putting anything on my hair before straightening & it still does it. I have to open window & put ceiling fan on whn i use it.
Considering getting another hair straightener it makes my throat that sore whenever i use it. I do use it twice a week.
Has anyone else noticed this when using their GlamPalm?

Love my GlamPalm and it's only been a day!!!
I ordered my GlamPalm at 8am (yes, they even answer the ph at 8am!!) and my GlamPalm was HAND delivered in the Gold Coast by 12pm! I think the reference to my 'sideshow bob' hair had them feeling sorry for me lol

through my hair was weird. The hair just glides through, there's no pulling feeling like with my GHD. I immediately thought they weren't working but of course, my afro (it's humid in QLD) was straight!! GLAM-AZING!
I ordered the GlamPalm GP313 online and received it the next day by 11am (gotta love the free express shipping) and received updates regularly :) ! Extra bonus I received free clips and a comb :)! My GHD died and I was on the hunt for a new straightener after hearing the GHD and Cloud 9 weren't up to scratch .. Stumbled across reviews of the glam palm and so happy I took a risk .. It works great, curls amazing and doesn't take long at all! My hair is quite long (just shy of my reaching my butt) and it takes me 15 - 20 mins to straighten my hair and 30 mins for curls .. I love it and makes my hair feel amazing considering I have bleached it and all ! Highly recommend :)

Great customer service
I originally ordered the large iron which did not suit me. Customer service rep was great in answering questions and offering to exchange it for me. We need more of such fantastic service in AU.
The iron is very elegant, light and gives my hair a nice shine. I read that people were not losing hair using this iron which is not the case with me but I've only used it once so far!

Better than GHD
After reading really positive reviews and hearing that Ghd's are now made in china and are not as good. I actually sold a new ghd and took the plunge. Glad i did hair has no frizz and flat as with no serum used and still looks shiny! Makes it easy with the clips included!

GlamPalm saved my hair! (and life)
I just received my brand new GlamPalm GP313 in the mail this afternoon and it is ALL and MORE than I could ever have imagined! Before the GlamPalm I was using a GHD, I thought the GHD was the best and that you probably wouldn't get any better than that, I have also tried the Cloud 9, that was good also, however, GlamPalm just blew the GHD and Cloud 9 right out of this world!!!! (Literally) I have had 3 GHD's in the past 2 years, 2 of the GHD's stopped working and the other GHD stopped heating. Since using the GlamPalm for the first time, my hair is already silkier, smoother, lighter and looks a millions times more healthier! I could not be happier. I 110% recommend the GlamPalm to each and everybody!!!!! IT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

I have never been into straightening my loose waves much because I've found straightening made my hair look less healthier and straight hair wouldn't last the night unless I actually spent a lot of time on it. I found an article comparing Cloud9, Glam Palms and GHDs from a experienced user who seemed to know her stuff. She raves about Glampalms a lot and gave detailed reasons including specifications and user feedback why she rates she so highly. This review alone sold me 60% so I checked out user reviews all over the internet. It was hard not to choose the brand that everyone knows (especially because prior to my online research I recently asked an older hairdresser who also told me GHDs are the best out there, though I doubt she ever heard of glampalms). At the end, it came down to the fact that I'd used different models of GHDs before and was never amazed with the result and feared for the condition of my hair due to the fact there was no option to go lower in heat - hair smelled bad/burnt and always had to use product to control frizz after :( I seen on Facebook that GlamPalm went the extra mile for customers (when one unsatisfied customer purchased the wrong model for her hair type they assisted her to get the right model, then she was satisfied). Have used Glampalm for 2 weeks on my Medium to long hair, hairdressers say my hair strands are fine ish but I have A LOT of hair which lead me to believe I always had thick hair lol. I only have to use it for 5 mins on heat setting 150 degrees. I use Moroccan hair oil on my hair after a shower and let it dry but no heat protectant prior to straightening and no product after. Results are quick, hair is silky smooth, colour looks amazeballs and most importantly I have no frizz :) Glampalm advises you shouldn't need to put setting up too high so try lowest as needed, they also advise you shouldn't use on wet hair and I personally think this is good promoting Healthy hair rather than saying it is capable of doing things that might be bad for your hair in the long run. I should admit that I joined ieatwords just to write this because I rate the product and I think more girls need to consider the glampalm, if you've come far enough to do your research and are reading this now, take the chance and go for Glampalm!GlamPalm A.GlamPalm

Hi there,
I have thick, wavy, rather coarse hair just below my shoulders. I'm very keen for a slightly wider plate to cut down time, however I also like doing loose waves/curls. I'd LOVE to try the 313 to see if I can achieve both with the slightly wider plates. However, if I purchased the 313 and struggled to get waves working, is there any way I could do a swap for a 201? I've only ever had thin plates and am excited about the possibility of having something in the middle. :)

Hi Ling,
I would suggest the 313 just because it is wide enough to tackle thick hair but also small enough to be able to do more like curl hair and get really close to the scalp. But I have never used the 501 before.
