Hi, I am wanting to return my vehicle before my contract is up with Gogetta as it has become too expensive to run with minimal work How can I do this? I am happy to continue to pay my contract at the weekly rate or an agreed lower rate.

The value of the car was$10,000 and the first year I paid $125.00 per week, for the 2nd year I am paying $99.00 per week. The question is how much do I owe on the car after the 2nd year?

1 answer

Hi not sure about your case but I bought a car for $10,880 paid $136.15 per week total $7,079.80 the payout figuer was just over $7,600. So $15,000 is not bad it's the roll over contract you have to watch if you can't afford to pay the $7,600 they want you to sign a new contract for a lower amount eg. $108 for 3 years = $16,848 + $7,079 = total $23,927 I quired this there reply was, It's ok it's tax deductable. Hope this helps but I would get a lawer or account to view the contract & see if it suits your financal postion after the first 12 months

There is a ballon payment in 12 months I use the system for trucks not cars. It works perfectly for business because in 12 months you have made enough funds to pay the ballon payment

If the car yard you're planning on going through is discount 4x4 I suggest you look elsewhere. I'm currently starting my 3 year contract now. (Have had the car for a year) the first day I pick the car up I drove it 1 and a half hours home. I then went to go out with my partner and children that night. Got 25 minutes down the road. (We live an hour away from nearly everything) the motor blew up. We were stuck on the side of the road for 2 hours! We rang the car yard they said they to organise a tow truck and they'll pay to get it home. Got a quote for a tow truck.. $180 so they refused to pay it. We had to organisevto get my family and car home ourselves out of our own pocket.
They then got a dodgy guy with a car trailer to pick the car up and had the car for 5 weeks to have a second hand motor put in. I was paying $187 a week for a car that was sitting in a mechanic shop!

You can pay the car off after the one year except through the whole year they will be taking 25% of the payment for themselves and if you cant afford to pay the car off after the one year they will take 75% of the payments after.

How did you go taking GoGetta to the financial ombudsman and your broker to court as we may have to consider doing the same thing

Hi Dean,
The Gogetta contract is for 12 months, you can payout at anytime just call them, and ask for a payout or at the end of 12 months you have the option to return the equipment or convert to their 36 month fixed term option reducing payments. Some customer continue to stay on an open term, as they prefer to retain the return option.
