I heard about Happy Packers through family. After searching them online I was a little concerned after reading a couple of reviews.
So I decided to call the number on their website. I spoke with Andrew and detailed him about my move, and tried to get a quote from him. Since there was a little complexity with my move due to moving an apartment and a house into one house, Andrew offered to inspect the properties and amount of stuff to move free of charge.

Read morem to help us with our move, which included mattress covers, and "portable wardrobe" boxes which were quite helpful. He was far from the stereotype I had pictured of a "young meathead" type. It was obvious he was quite experienced, he was also professional and delightful to deal with. Showing him our garage however and amount of stuff my dad had kept in storage Andrew brought attention to the trickiness of transporting all of it to pack into a truck, since trucks aren't allowed access in our apartment building's garage section. He recommended a 2-day job to tackle the apartment and garage in one day and the other house on the other day. He assured that he had convenient "dolly" devices that would aid in transporting the garage stuff through the carpark to the closest access point his truck could be positioned in. These proved very efficient and effective. I was very pleasantly surprised about how smooth the operation went. I had been dreading the move for awhile and wasn't fully prepared in my opinion. Andrew was very professional in efficiently directing his team of 2 co-workers as well as my dad as well as carefully packing loose items I hadn't already packed into boxes. It took all the stress out of the move. His manoeuvrability skills with our larger items was quite impressive. Trusting Andrew to move our stuff made the cost of the move fully worth it. Highly recommend to anyone needing to move.
Worst removals company
Never use this company never finished the job wrecked our washing machine and left our bed and broke the base will be taking this further worst company if I could I would not give any stars

*Said on phone will have 3 people to make up for running late, and only 2 people turned up.
*Expected a van and truck to turn up, only to have a just a truck which took some time to play Tetris to everything to fit everything in.
*Did not fasten heavy wooden bed frame planks to side of truck- only to have them fall onto the ground damaging them. (Whilst just missing my head by 15cms!)

(Whilst asking me to speak to his wife regarding why he was running late!) *Regardless of the above, still paid $625 for the move. If I were to move again, I would definitely use a professional moving company, even if more expensive as you get what you pay for. (And hopefully they will ensure proper safety measures like securing objects to the van so they don't fall and get damaged.)

Superb! Experienced, efficient, fast, careful. [names removed] were ready for anything, good for a yarn (without slowing the work rate), on time and were spot on with the original quote. I won't be trusting anyone else with any future moves - I can not recommend them strongly enough. Happy Packers = Happy customers!

Excellent Service
I was very impressed with this service. [name removed] was very professional and a pleasure to deal with. He makes sure he understands your requirements beforehand so that everything is planned and ready on the day of your move. His team was friendly, efficient and took great care in moving my stuff. Absolutely nothing was damaged which was a great relief. Would I use Happy Packers again? Yes. Would I recommend Happy Packers? Yes.

Worst packers I have ever come across
Can't believe there are packers like this outfit that run a business. Where do I start?? Scratched my furniture, turned up late, misquoted and attitude! One of the worst experiences I have ever had and there are reminders everywhere in my house!! I can't even look at the scratched furniture without shuddering.

We used Happy Packers for moving all of our display items to a convention and then collection from the convention and back to our premises. Number 1 is the sheer obliging attitude of the guys, nothing was too difficult. They were courteous, efficient and very professional. The cost was very reasonable and at the end of the day, the job was carried out perfectly. Thank you Happy Packers, we will use you every time we have a need and would recommend your service to anyone.

The perfect move
Found out about Happy Packers through a work colleague. They came and packed our unit, moved and unpacked the majority of things, all within a 48 hr timeframe, it was as if we had not moved at all, it was so easy. Everthing was put in place and reassembled. Really pleased, recommend to all.
Reliable, super efficient, a pleasure to deal with, a very human touch, made me feel really comfortable with our move, well priced.

Not a Happy Packer
Fact 1: Underquoted the job by half. We ended up paying nearly double even though it was way over his original quote!
Fact 2: Did not realise the job needed more than 2 people!
Fact 3: Cynical and critical during the move....not the happy packer he claims to be!
Fact 4: Charged for items he said he wouldn't.
Fact 5: Accused us of hiding boxes and providing misinformation because he didn't want to take responsibility for his total lack of professionalism and his lack of experience
Fact 6: Actually had the nerve to tell us on his invoice not to use his services again...when we did absolutely nothing wrong (hand on heart)!!!

Read moreshe did not need them. She resented paying $1/box. We packed her kitchen, wrapped her artworks in international bubble wrap. Dissasembled and reassembled her beds, connected appliances and placed all furnitures where she requested, doing a number of changes. Too bad she did not tell me that she had a garage that was full of boxes and furnitures. When asked what access was like at the destination she did not understand the distance of 160 metres from the loading dock via a set of stairs to the apartment via a lift is not the same as the truck can be parked close to the entrance of her apartment. As it is she paid what I had estimated without the packing materials, she asked for these later., as well as the packing. Originally I had told her she would need 40 boxes. She would only take 15 boxes at a time, telling me that she would find other boxes elsewhere. In short this person this person is a blatant liar, I do wish that there could be a register of individuals that seem to think that the law of the jungle is how you conduct yourself to those that have the unfortunate misadventure to stray in there way. Three appointments were made and broken for the simple collection of boxes and materials, arrive at her direction to collect and she would not be at home. She was the only 1 of 2 clients that I have specifically requested not to contact for my services again.Questions & Answers
