What a ripper!
This is an awesome saw. Loads of power and cuts 4x2 like butter. Operation is very straight forward, pretty much take out of the box, plug it in and start cutting. Mine was 100% accurate out of the box. That is, 90 degree cuts were spot on, each of the mitre angles were spot on, and the compound angles were spot on. This makes life really easy and means you don't have to spend time setting the saw up, like I have had to do in the past with cheap saws I have bought. The operation is great, very easy to change mitre angles, one handed. The saw ha...Read more
s virtually no vibration and you can tell it is a quality product, extremely well made. Dust extraction is ordinary, but this is a common flaw in all mitre saws. I removed the bag and hooked up my shop vac and it collects about 80% of dust, which is pretty good. It is not a sliding mitre saw. I use mainly in my workshop so don't really need a sliding saw. Table saw covers this. Pros: Easy operation, power, clean cuts, accurate pre-set angles Cons: None I have used this saw for over a year and the more I use it, the more I like it.Similar opinion? Excellent value Mitre Saw for those demanding high quality on a budget.
For those short on time. This is a great product and I definitely recommend it.
The missing star is because there is always room for improvement but certainly no major issues so far.
I bought it for a steal from a closing down Masters branch.
While dearer than the basic Ozito and Ryobi models from Bunnings it is far superior in quality and performance.
Pros:
-Appears to be well made.
-Easy to get it up and running.
-Cuts beautifully so far.
-Everything working as expected.

-Good value for those that like quality tools but have a limited budget. Cons: -Doco is good but the writing is a bit small and there aren't enough pictures for those new to Mitre saws. -Item is made in China despite the box giving a different impression. I'm not so worried about this as from the many reviews I have read this model has been around for quite a few years and is very reliable. -The only complaint I have is that it blows sawdust everywhere even when using the dust catcher. I have given up on the dust catcher and made my own suction system into the dust outlet using an old vacuum cleaner. This has reduced the sawdust by about 85%. For those wondering you can cut aluminium with this no problem. I have changed to a 10" Bosch Multimaterial blade to give neater cuts. This blade can still be used to cut most timbers also.
