Not bad, but quite noisy inside.
Awesome reliability. 70.000 miles without a unexpected break. Thinking of improving the isolation, quite of noisy. Engine is powerful enough. Understeer at high speed corner. A pillar view is bad. Odo screen Led graphic is good, still modern till now. Should buy an pre owned to save money, especially students.

A mediocre offering from Honda
The car drives reasonably well. As a Honda, this is a given.
It does, however, lack power and responsiveness. I've had a few instances where I've put my foot down (albeit slowly) and the car essentially just crawled along.
The in car entertainment system is bad - it's extremely slow to respond and has crashed on me a couple of times.
All the comments I have about build and ride quality have likely already been covered in other reviews, both here and professional, but I should point out that GPS updates are $500 a pop (something that's likely to pertain to even the most recent models).
Invest that money in a better head unit.

Amazing Car
Amaing Car with great technology. Have owned this car for over an year now and no compalints so far. My android phone connects via android auto to bring up maps on the car display. With keyless smart entry, there is no need to remove the keys from your pocket to enter the car.

Love it! Never a problem!
The performance is spot on for a small engine car. Very fuel efficient and runs like a charm. I have never had a problem with the car as long you keep up with the car services. I have saved more than 20$ per week on petrol since i have changed from my Ford Focus

Great Car
New bold Civic is a beauty. Spacious 2nd row seats. 129 KW with a very economical Fuel consumption. Driving Position is good too. Far better handling than any other CVT.
Got an amazing deal of 5 yrs warranty and road side assistance.
Only thing Honda could have done is, an auto dimming rear view mirror.

Love it. Great style and tech!
I loved by 2012 Civic Hatch VTI-L, but unfortunately it was stolen. I barely considered other cars because that Honda was so reliable. At the time, the new hatch hadn't been released yet, so I went with the sedan RS spec. It's great having such awesome internal and external styling, without the price tag of a luxury brand car. The sunroof is a nice addition to my previous car, as is the touch screen entertainment system with Android Auto. My only gripe is that the boot opening is very small. I'm used to the hatch which I could fit a couch in. O...Read more
f course the sedan was going to be smaller, but I have trouble getting even an esky in, so sometimes I need to put things in the back seat that I'd rather not. Again, the lack of 'magic seats' is annoying, but understandable in a sedan. Moral of the story... get the new hatch! Edit: Oh, another small gripe is that the car is big! It's a lot longer than the previous generation hatch which makes it a little harder to park. Again, the new hatch is smaller than this, but also bigger than the previous gen both in length and width.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

awesome car with a turbo engine works like a treat
i was in the market for about a month comparing models as well as reading reviews. I finally bought civic rs 2017
reading the reviews and 5 yr warranty was too good a deal to miss
also the turbo engine is way better than mazda 3 in my opinion
cabin noise was noticeably lower than mazda 3
interior felt superior and spacious with a large boot space
running costs are a bit on a higher side but according to some reviews it holds almost 80% of its value

Awesome car for the price range.
The new bold Hond Civic has amazing High-end technology features such as lane watch, keyless, engine start button, android auto and brake hold. Especially when you compare to other manufacturers option in the same price range.
The old 1.8L engine does not have much power and when you combined with CVT transmission, it really feels like a much smaller engine.
It is, although, a low consumption engine, around 8L/100km driving in the city.

Outstanding Car
My wife bought the car new in 2015 in the LX version. Comfortable ride, safe handling and braking, good noise control, many standard equipment. Comfortable seating position, well supporting seats even without lumbar support. Accommodates a short person (my wife at 5') or taller (me at 5' 9''). The small 4 cyl V-tec engine provides adequate acceleration for most situations at fairly low RPM (below 3,000). When accessing a speedway, you get ample acceleration between 3,000 and 4,000 rpm, well below the maximum allowed for this engine. Fuel consum...Read more
ption could go as low as 5.7 L /100 km on highway, by warm temperature with two persons on board. In town, it averages 7 L/100 km and could go to 8L during winter time. Only design problem we noticed so far, the indoor located switches (windows, door locks) are not illuminated at night which is a real bother. No mechanical problem whatsoever at 27,000 km. This car replaced a 2001 Honda Civic LX my wife resold for $1,500 CAD after 14 years with 168,000 km on it. The alternator had to be changed once ($200). The paint had faded and there was a few spots of surface rust on, although submitted to yearly use in Canadian winter on salted roads. Advertized it on Kijiji at 13:00 hours, it was sold by 17:00 hours the same day! UPDATE AS OF SEPTEMBER 2017: this summer, we inadvertantly ventured onto extremely hilly and sinuous roads while vacationing. Being unaware of those roads, which were paved but also used by logging rigs we took the Civic instead of the Tacoma pickup. I was very impressed by how well the car dealt with those long and abrupt hills, immediately succeeded by equally abrupt descents. And that went on and on. Quite sufficient power was found between the 3,000 to 4,000 RPM band and we never had to complain about that. We were two adults with light luggage. Fuel consumption remained good. Unfortunately, those logging roads, although paved, were frequently under repair. We thus went over rather bumpy terrain and the undercarriage of the car hit the groung. We teared off part of the wind spoilers under the engine. For not using the pickup truck, we saved about 50$ of gas on 2,000 kilometers, while encurring 80$ in repair on the car. Draw your own conclusion.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A return to form with a couple of exceptions.
I've owned several Hondas including Gen1 & 4 Civics & CRV. They've always been well engineered, reliable and durable cars. I haven't purchased a new Honda for the last decade, they've been lackluster, lacking in many of the bells and whistles available elsewhere. I was very interested in the new 2016 civic when it was released, test drove it and purchased a 2016 white VTi-LX.
I'm approaching 10,000K and drive a mix of highway and city driving.
Fuel economy about 6.7l per 100k overall average. 4.5L/100K on the highway. Ordinary unleaded or E1...Read more

Can't recommend enough
Great car that offers excellent petrol consumptiom as well as space. Roomy boot and large backseat that comfortable seats 3 adults. Two USB ports one in the glove box and one upfront allows easy charging for kids in the back seat.
Drives smoothly and is extremely quiet on road with none to little road noise.
Technology in car is great with reversing camera and Bluetooth for phones and touch screen display, even a hdmi port for the tech savvy.
Sporty looking car, well built and still affordable

Fantastic
I purchased this car for my wife who wanted a small run around.
It isn't exactly small, with great leg room in the rear and a monster boot.
I love it when I get the chance to drive the car as it flies like the wind on the country roads where we live. Very responsive turbo engine and the automatic cvvt transmission which I have never had any exposure to before is a dream.
One feature I love is the camera mounted on the left mirror, when indicating left it turns the camera on to give you a view of the left side of your car to indicate if it is...Read more

Honda Civic RS sedan - Love this car!
Have just purchased a Honda Civic RS Sedan and it is fantastic!
Very fuel efficient and reliable. It is great on long trips as well as around town to school, work, shops, etc...
It is very quiet on the road and performs well in all types of conditions.
The electronic dashboard is great and the sunroof also a great addition. I can recommend getting leather seats, as they are so easy to keep clean.
Important to note that the service and knowledge from my local Honda dealer - Innes Motors Bendigo was second to none. Polite, professional and very very knowledgeable and importantly, were not pushy or over-bearing.
My first Honda and it won't be my last!

Love my sporty Honda
Driving is a dream in my Honda Civic. Very economical to run especially as my previous Honda Accord Euro only took premium fuel and this one is basic unleaded. Probably get twice as many k's between fillups...lovely.
The leather seats are so comfy and the whole interior is very easy to maintain. The dash layout is very good and I particularly like the reverse camera and the Bluetooth connection for my iPhone which my previous Honda didn't have. The turbo comes in handy when overtaking but just a little noisy - great performance though.
All in all Honda make seriously good, reliable and attractive cars. Wouldn't drive anything else.

Nice car but with issues.
I purchased a brand new 2016 Honda Civic from Alto Honda Blacktown NSW in August 2016 and although the car is very nice to drive there are issues with it that a new car just should not have.
Firstly when I purchased the car, the front passenger door frame had scratches on it that were covered up by a touch-up paint job.
Secondly the rear panel that holds the rear speakers and sub woofer vibrates terribly both when the car is in motion whether the speakers are working or not and also just when the speakers are working while the car is stat...Read more
ionary. This seems to be a design fault and a quick Google search displays many other people listing the same issue with that panel. There is even a you tube video on how to rectify the problem. Thirdly there is a constant rattling or clicking sound coming from inside the car which my wife and I find very annoying and especially on a long drive. I suspect that the sound is coming from the rear passenger door and although I have reported these issues to the dealer in Blacktown NSW, there has been no offer to investigate and repair them. Fourth the interior dome light has stopped functioning in auto mode however it still switches on when the switch is turned to the on position. Having these issues on a brand new car is very disappointing and I am uncertain whether I will stay with this brand of motor car.1 comment

Love my car
Great sized car; light and easy to drive; fuel efficient; great customer service from dealership and brilliant follow up post sale; recommend this car to others; this car is very good value for money; very glad I selected this car after looking at Kia, Mazda and VW. Servicing costs look affordable too.

Fun to Drive Car in its Natural Habitat
Honda Civic MK9.II is a fun to drive car, More fuel efficient than the Sedan model but it lack better braking in the wet conditions. Overall its a nice car more powerful than the other hatchbacks. Brakepads wearing out too quickly in the automatic transmission model, manual model is better

Breakpads Wearing Out Very Quickly
Since I purchase my Honda Civic Hatchback new in Oct. 2014 I have travelled approx. 20K.
So you can imagine my surprise when I was advised at the 20K service that the front brakes had 5mm wear left and the rear 4mm wear left. I was even more surprised when advised that the rear brake pads and rotors would need to be replaced at the next service: Cost $495.00.
From this I can only assume that the front will also need to be replaced within the next 10/15K.
The excuse for this excessive wear from Honda was that these cars were produced in...Read more
Europe and came with these brake pads, etc. as they did not squeak. So not only do they produce a lot of brake dust they also wear out very quickly. In some 50 years of driving, I have never had brakes wear this quickly. Now I did some 20K in 12 months, so imagine the costs if I had travelled that in say 4/6 months which I have done in the past.2 comments

n back to Alto Honda in Blacktown NSW 3 times already to handle noise issues inside the car and was recently returned last week to stop a vibration noise in the front, left pillar where the airbag is located. There is still no improvement however and I believe that although the Honda Civic is hopefully a mechanically sound car, it is not a well "put together" car and I told my wife that we will probably just have to accept that the car came with these "personality quirks" even if they are annoying. This will likely be my first and last Honda however.
