Hi Rowley,

my name is Dylan and I'm from Honda Power Equipment's head office. I'm sorry to hear that you have been having issues with your mower, and would recommend taking it into your local authorised Honda dealership. The cooler months of the year are the perfect time to get your mower serviced and to get any kinks like this ironed out.

To find where your local Honda dealer is, you can call our Customer Service line on (03) 9270 1136 or check-in with our Dealer Locator service at http://dl.hondampe.com.au

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,
Dylan

Have you oiled your clutch cable? Run oil down the clutch cable every few months. You may need a new clutch cable.

Agree with Chicka, 9 years old and still your clutch cable is working.Keep that mower, spray wd40 down it and move it back and forth to make the oil go down the cable surround. Let it sit overnight as well. If your mower has lasted this long, do not, i repeat do not let any mechanic replace with inferior crap of today, you will have worse problems. Also check your adjustments are good. While mower is off, you should be able to enguage the self propel, drag backwards and wheels should lock, if they do, it is working. Dylan is only trying to get business for mower shops, that is why all new stuff breaks often. Us contractors suffer though, until greed takes control and we all say to hell with it and than we all lose i guess.
