My gf's honda is 2003 and has been sent the car back to mechanics for fixing CVT transmission issue for a few times. I am wondering after what year Honda Jazz actually fixed the problem and is safe to buy? Or does it exist in all models?

Does anyone know where I can find the auxiliary port on the 2008 Jazz?
1 answer
Hi Sam, I am presuming the Jazz is a GE 2nd generation Jazz and the auxiliary port in question relates to connecting an auxiliary media devise to the car. As far as I know the port is accessed by prying open the round cover on the left hand side of the dash board control panel adjacent to the cd slot. Hope this helps.

I have a 2013 model and I would like to have air vents on without the air con on but for the life of me can't seem to be able to. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Sorry mine is a 2014 one. If yours had a digital display panel, you may find beneath the panel the control for air. An aircon sign is at the bottom corner closer to wheel side (in Australia). You can push the sign to turn it off. There are fan and other options signs separate from aircon. All the signs can be directly pushed on as using a touch screen.
Mine is the climate control and doesn't have the dials, we just bought a Yaris and we can just have the vents open on that so I know what you mean. Cheers.

My 2014 touch screen Honda Jazz appears to have a problem that occurs sometimes when I am approaching my home I push the button that brings the windows into the park position. On several occasions the LHS rear window will open all by itself at the same time. Has anyone else experienced this problem and is it fixable?

This is not an answer other than to say that after a service Honda North could not find a problem with the car but they did record the details. My only other negative report is that touch screens are even more dangerous than mobile phones in my opinion. I also have a recent CRV and it is a much safer car to drive as it does not have a touch screen but it does have a reversing camera.
It seems like you need to take the car to a auto electrician workshop to see if they can help you

Is the Honda Jazz considered more of a girls car? are there many guys that drive these?

Hi
Not sure but I drive it and I'm a guy.
It is consider quite big for those small car if you come to Nissan March or Suzuki Swift.
Our 2009 VTi-S Jazz is a VUV (Versatile Use Vehicle). ‘One small car, has more uses than any other small car’, means ‘broad clientele’.
(What’s your priority? What you think of the car while you’re driving it, or what you think other people might be thinking?) (See my initial comments?) Nissan Micra is the car targeted at the ‘young, female buyer’; looks like a handbag in profile, has 17 internal pockets, 4-speed auto only. Back to back, a Suzuki Swift vs a 1.5 Honda Jazz, the Suzuki feels gutless. If handling is highest priority, probably late-model Ford Fiesta?
The Jazz’ advantages are: versatility, headroom, excellent braking, robust build, engine reliability, economy is good, ‘origami seating’, adequate handling, comparable performance. Nothing else will take five fairly tall adults, carry a surfboard, or two tall pot-plants, or have a fold-flat floor, doors open to nearly 90 degrees, or have 3 child-anchor points. A good one could last through several ‘life changes’.
If you drive a pink car then maybe you are right. I also own a late model CRV and I am happy to drive either car.

Has anyone else had problems with rust? Both front driver and passenger doors have significant rust, rusting from the inside out. Honda assured me it would be fixed under warranty, but it is now one year since I brought the problem to Honda's attention. BEWARE!!

The current Jazz has a six year warranty on rust. Take it back immediately and demand that it be fixed.
My sisters 02 model had a slight amount of rust in the hatch are. We have had 3 jazzes in our family and there will be more in the future we LOVE them!
The manufacturing of the Jazz between 2008 to 2011 was done in Thailand. I feel that the build quality of these cars in this year range were a bit inferior compared to the later models which were built in Japan.
One of the build issues was that it is prone to rusting around the door edges and areas where water would run through when you wash a car or after rain. The Japan built models carry the Vibe and Vibe-S badges. I feel these are the ones you should be opting to buy when it comes to purchasing a second generation Jazz.
