Great Unit

published

This was a Godfrey's $49 (from memory) special and has proved to very handy for cleaning our tiled floors.

The main thing to remember is to treat the microfiber cloths properly. These are designed to soak up a heap of water together with the dissolved dirt so if they have lost their absorbent capability (say by rinsing with fabric softener or allowing to collect lint in a dryer) then they will become ineffective.

We have been using this unit for about 18 months and it has been trouble free so far.

Ok to buy. Value for money

I am satisfied with the cleaning power but it's set only on one setting power where I had old one which came with low steam, medium steam and high steam, easy to use but have to push bit hard as the clothes sticks on wooden floor. Good buy, value for money. $49 special deal.

Thought it would last longer

published

I purchased this in December 2014 and it broke down this week just out of 12 month warranty . I found this a great steam mop light and fast for cleaning but did not last long. I expect products to last beyond this time. I know I got it on special and was not full price $49.00. But I do expect more. Loved the resul for my tiles and will have to go back to hand mop till I make up my mind to buy a better mop. Love the steam mops.

Great for the first two months. Then it dies.

Our second Steamy Wonder has just died. We had the first replaced under warranty and the new one has lasted all of a few goes. They just lose heat, you can hear the pump trying to work but I think the heating element just dies really quickly. You definitely get what you pay for.

Yes it does though do not remember if it came with 1 or 2 Pads.

Only comes with one pad.I use 3 chux wrapped around and secured on top of the head with tape in lieu of replacement pads.Works just as well on light to medium dirty floors, glides easier and of course much more economical than pads.

I was given both the mop and a spare pack of replacement heads for free when I bought my carpet shampooer Make the pads last longer by throwing them in an old pillow case to wash in the machine This makes the velcro last longer The heads come in a pack of 2 for about $20

my mop doesn't let out steam the water heats up but no steam. Any help?

I haven't had this problem so can only guess. My first thought would be that the steam outlet from the heater might be blocked so I would run some descaling solution through the machine and see if that fixes it. If it's not still under warranty I might take the back off to check that the steam tube is still properly attached (I did this with a machine that I purchased from Kogan some years ago and was surprised at how simple its innards were) Failing that a trip to Godfreys to get a quote for repair.

Hope this helps.
