Dont buy it

published

Hi everyone. I bought this based on name of Husqvarna after my $200 sanli mower eventually gave up. The mower is seriously under powered for my block which is slightly hilly. I end up pushing it still up the inclines. Set the cutting deck lower than 3 and the mower bogs down on basically thin couch grass. The rear wheel has now seized up and will not rotate for the second time. I will again take it back to the dealer. Mower only 14 months old. Last time the dealer said the bearings were full of dirt due to lack of rain etc. Having always mowed my own lawn for 40 years this has never happened before. Don't waste your money on this junk.

Purchased in October 2021 for A$739.00.

Self propelled function is fast.

published

One of the fastest self propelled single speed mowers available other brands seem too slow. Clutch engagement is super smooth. Height adjustment is one of the best Ive seen. Powerful motor, but seems louder than other similar Briggs and stratton. Easy to manoeuvre. I moved throttle to right handle or it would rub against pailing fences, easily done. Mulches dry grass well. Catcher is somewhat different to other brands. Starts first pull but needs a good yank. Cant see why others have had troubles with theirs. Recommend this mower if your looking for a speedy self propelled function.

Purchased in April 2021 for A$800.00.

So easy to use!

published

I recently bought this mower and as someone with a bad back I absolutely love it. The pull cord requires very little effort to get it started and the self propelled feature makes it so much easier on my back. Would definitely recommend to anyone who struggles with pushing a regular mower.

Feel like a female taken for a ride. Gutless!

published

Yes the mower cuts well, that's about all. Difficult to manoeuvre due to--wheels and weight. I'm a pensioner with a bad back which I explained to the sales person. I did more pushing than it so called self propelled did! I've done half my lawn, too sore to continue. Expected a lot more for $800 it will be taken back as soon as I can get someone to help me lift into my car. Oh it did't like thick grass.

Very happy with this mower!

published

After researching for a few weeks, finally settled on this self-propelled mower for my backyard. It had come down to two brands in the end- Husqvarna or Masport. Both are good brands as far as mowers go. Went into Paul's at Richmond and was able to compare both brands side by side. Husqvarna won! Based on features and price.
Started using it and found it to be very good. Build quality is great. Starts easily. Self-propelled feature is great for bigger backyard and it goes pretty easily uphill.
I would recommend it if you've got a bigger backyard and plan to keep it for a few years. I'll be getting it serviced annually.
