For most people, I don't think transporting this mattress around (aside from taking it back from the store) is going to be a main priority. They don't try and sell the fact that it can be rolled up and transported in-store and most people are just going to take it home, lay it on their bed and sleep on it.

the mattress seems to be comfortable enough.
I have 2 different Aldi mattress toppers on it, and the smell
is improving each day. It's a little too late to put the "stink"
warning in the instructions, and it's going to be inconvenient
returning it to the store now that it is a double bed mattress unrolled.
If Ikea is going to sell "stinky" mattresses, they should come
with a pre-purchase warning, rather than people taking them home

Had this for a week and it has made me miserable. We opened the mattress and the room was filled with strong chemical smell. We have a small flat and limited outdoor space, and in October airing outside not an option. This is the worst mattress we've ever had. We bought it on special in the king size, two people, both weigh around 60kg. We've had it for around 3 months when our back started to hurt terribly and the mattress had started sacking. Ikea left us absolutely no option despite it being under warranty, they said we can't replace to a new Hovag as we bought the faulty one on special, so have to pay the difference or downgrade.

I bought the Hovag only 3 months ago when moving into a new place. I've developed so much back pain from it and it's so uncomfortable.
