Wears out quickly and patchy and hard to undo
This is meant to be a premium product but I found it to be awful. It puts a protective layer on top of the wood which is very hard to maintain. I put three layers on a boardwalk to the front door (family home, not high traffic) and found that there was patchy deterioration within 9 months. Trying to recoat created a patchy effect. Trying to remove it was very difficult either using water-blasting or stripper. Eventually had to sand it with a belt sander. Customer services did not have any useful advice either. Stick to an oil based product that penetrates right in and is easily reapplied.

I have painted my new treated pine fence with Intergrain UltraDeck Timber stain in Ebony off a Charcoal base. I allowed the fence to age the appropriate amount of time (3 months), washed it off with my pressure hose and then painted two coats of the stain with an inexpensive air sprayer bought from Bunnings. The application was quick and easy - apart from having to refill the small pot of the spray gun very regularly - and the fence looks *chefs kiss* superb. 6 months down the line the fence still looks like the day I did it, no fading at all. Highly recommend.

I used the Merbau finish, and it looks fantastic. I don't know yet how long it will last, but it was easy to apply and the results are much much nicer than what I have used before.

Like spreading peanut butter
New treated pine deck. Recommended to use Intergrain ultradeck timber stain. Cleaned it first with ultraprep, gave it a week to dry and just did the first (and only) coat of Merbau. The result, horrible and patchy and of course nothing like the samples in Bunnings or the visualiser tool. Even used their own brand lambs wool applicator.
Advice from their tech. support suggested the wood was damp, because it rained heavily in Penrith (200klm away) the night before. They finally advised not to do a second coat but to use their stripper and hose it

A paint, not a stain
I used Intergrain Natural Stain on Carter Colt Harvey Treated pine Shadowclad (plywood) cladding for a garage. First coat looked good, but when second coat went on the garage looked painted and colour went very dark, like a blood orange. I used colour Kowhai. It said to use two coats or even three on new timber. Will end up have to paint the garage in a year if stain don't fade a bit. Very good value for money. 10L almost covered 96sqm of wall.

Tried this product after watching a youtube video.
Went on very easy. Dried very quickly. All up about 3L used. Took me 2 hours or so.
Just one coat was applied.
Couldn't be happier!
See my before pressure washing, after pressure washing, and after using the natural stain.
