Is it worth remapping a 2012 D-Max?

Dennis Bant

Hi Brian, probably not due to the cost, which could amount to nearly 3.5 K by the time either the remapping is done or a chip installed, as well as fitting a 75mm exhaust system. The up-grade would be handy if you were doing a lot of heavy towing, or some of the hard tracks in the High Country.

I am thinking of getting out of my cruiser and trying a d max for towing our caravan,
average around 16 lts to 100 ks touring, can someone tell how this would compare to ad max?
our van is around 1500 ks

Can't comment personally about a van but inlaws have a one around that weight and only use around 13L/100 I think.

Fully loaded for work I'm at 2.7T and use 9.5/100 regularily. When I tow a trailer for work occasionally (800-1000kgs) goes up to around 12/100.

I have a 2017 SX dual cab and want to fit a bulbar. My question is has anyone fitted a bar without upgrading front springs/shocks and if so which bar? Does the OEM Isuzu bar require an upgrade?
Thanks

The genuine bar is alloy and pretty light but also not winch compatible and shouldn't require any suspension upgrade, if you are looking at a winch in the future look at the ARB Sahara bar, it's winch compatible and steel construction but might need a heavy spring upgrade .

I have a 2008 Isuzu KB300 Dteq running on a 4jj1 Engine on which Rev Count is not exceeding 3000. My mechanic suspected it could be the Swirl control solenoid valve or the whole Vacuum hose routing system but having checked it everything seems to be working normal. Anyone who's had a similar problem and how was it solved?
