So much for an iconic company to be unethically doing rubbish business - rubbish way. I talked about rubbish bin almost every month while I had the contract with them, overcharging is like business as usual for them. Drivers are ruthless, the sales team is predatory and poor office staff are helpless. I am amazed as to how they continue to be in business for so long. If I did this to my client's, I would have been out of business a long time ago.

Bunch of thieves
They overcharge you, they don't collect bins and they don't arrange a collection for the days they miss it. Once you call them up, you get terrible customer service!

They keep missing collections..
They continually miss pickups that have been booked.
Every time its a different excuse from the company and or driver.
The last excuse offered was "the driver got too early" despite admitting that there are notes on their system explaining that no collections could be done prior to this time.
The bin starts to overflow even as I type this review and we now await a Monday collection which leaves plenty of time for bin chickens to go through our waste and make a right mess which will be waiting for me to clean up first thing in the morning next week.
Thanks JJ Richards!
I may be asking the boss to look at other possible alternatives..

Aggressive, Expensive, Illegal
I had the misfortune of being bullied by this company for four years. As has been mentioned they lock you into agreements without you knowing then aggressively enforce the unfair terms throughout the period. I tried to break my agreement and was threatened with legal action so had to let it go. They increased the cost of my pickups over the 4 years I was forced to do business with them by 100%. Fact.

orrective Notice. IF YOU THINK YOU ARE LOCKED IN AND HAVE TO ACCEPT THEIR AGREEMENT - YOU DON'T. My bin removal costs are now 25% of what I paid. It is illegal for JJ Richards to roll your contract over as well and if they have in the past they cannot enforce it. YOU CAN FINISH HAVING TO DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. Rip off company don't go with JJ Richards
Bad service, very poor customer service, price will change after you sign the agreement. Don't pick up the bin on time and over charge. Price very hide. NOT recommended to anyone.

Meeting a family member involved with this company..wow
I have been exposed to a family member of the jj richard company and I am disgusted. I only wish I could find another company to collect my trash because the way this lady conducts herself is appalling. Inhumane unfair conduct towards disabled residents
I am a local Cleveland resident. I am a disabled lady, permanent wheelchair user.
I have a medical certificate with the Redland city council, so they stop there truck get my wheelie bin and empty it and bring it back. This has been affective now for 15 years. Medical letter is updated yearly.
Last year when I came home I noticed half the contents of my bin had been removed and left behind at the side top of my driveway.

Terrible service
JJ RICHARDS have an unprofessional customer service and never care about customer, the customer service always trust driver but not customer. This driver didn't collect our general waste on Monday, i try to call customer service and send the photo and video to prove a full waste bin on Tuesday, and they always said this drive is 100% adamant collected yesterday and will charge me extra if i need to rebook another sevice! That is totally rip off!

JJ Richards are a disgrace
We have had ongoing issues with JJ Richards that none of their customer care team really care about. We are scheduled to have a pickup between 4am and 8am and many times they come at 10-11am in the morning, when staff and customers need to park there. When there are cars there, no one ever calls or comes into the shop to see whether the cars can be moved to access the bins, they just leave it. No one ever phones or emails to say that a pickup was missed, then all of a sudden we notice our bins are over flowing and have to phone them to find out...Read more
why. They are appalling, and unhelpful. Their attitude is always one of 'blame' that 'there were cars in the way' - but there weren't any cars at the time they were scheduled to come. Here is a photo to show the familiar site of JJ Richards, who don't care enough about the environment or our business, who were meant to pick up on Wednesday. They now can't pick up (after us phoning them) until Monday, I hope no rubbish flies out onto the laneway over the weekend. Terrible service
We had been a customer of JJ Richards for 3 years. We terminated our contract as soon as we could as their service was just terrible. We would call for service cancellations and they will process that through, however, we were still charged for the 'service'.
When we did go ahead with a service, the truck would come up to the driveway, reverse and leave only because they couldn't wait for another truck to back out and leave. We are in an industrial area, so we do get little to some traffic in our carpark but nothing would be blocking the way ...Read more

Don't bother with this company as they are unreliable, do not return calls no matter how many times you call them.
No communication skills. The rep that I finally spoke to once, let me down.

So sorry don't know the answer to your question as my needs related to waste oil removal, sadly JJ Richards let me down. So may I suggest NOT using this company. Have a look at your local newspaper for a local rubbish skip.
