Great smoker or just use as a wood bbq. Buy a gasmate cast iron hot plate ( or plate off gas bbq )to place over grill plates for a fantastic wood bbq. Also smoked some some good quality fish that been frozen for 6 months - bloody delicious.

Assembly tip dont buy in arvo and expect to use that night. Take your time to build and it comes up great.

With almost hundreds of nuts and bolts and pages of instructions is not that good I almost don't want to assemble this BBQ. It took me half a day to finish it. The part where you put your cooked food is too short to install. I have to think of a way to install it. It cook nice though but the experience of assembling it is just way too hard! So think about it before you buy this thing. I couldn't return it as I don't want to spend time disassembling it, also this is a birthday gift from the family.

Mainly smoke 2 racks of american pork ribs in a tray, jacket potato and sweet potato using the "offset firebox" as my Smoker. Good results once you've mastered the right ratio of charcoal for the heat needed to cook the meat [ribs] slowly. Single pieces of meat [T-bone/Chicken] cook/burn very quickly if using marinades.

Offset firebox does not have a temperature gauge IF purchasing it separately.

We have cooked with beef, chicken and lamb on this smoker. It has a great taste and even the cheap sausages come up amazing. It is easy to clean and all my partner does is just hose and scrub it down. we cover it to protect it from the weather.

I too just bought one of these...The thing I love if just for 2 of us we use the little one thats mainly used as the fire box,I use it with the grills in place ....then if the family or friends around use the big one ...Perfect at the right price.

Got this bbq from bunnings. My previous one was too small. We love a charcoal bbq so this seemed a good size and fit the bill. It has a large grill area so you can fit a good amount of meat to cook at the same time. It is perfect for smoking chicken, ribs, sausages. and other meats. It came in a carton box but best thing is, it was packed perfectly, all individual pieces in own plastic wrap. Great quality for a low price. Similar types go for triple the price in bbq galore and specialised stores. It has a temperature gauge and chimney for improved air flow. Large wheels for easy moving. Great buy and addition to the verandah.
