I’ll never buy another Kenwood product. I’ve hardly used the HB720 even though I’ve had it for a few years, and it’s dead. Looked around online and saw that it’s a common issue. Not good enough Kenwood.
I may have used it 6 times, and certainly haven’t even tried all the attachments. Very disappointing.
Purchased for $120.
Do not recommend it - go and get one from Kmart or BigW instead. The Kenwod Triblade is an absolute waste of money. It looks attractive with all the attachments but not worth it at all. I bought my Kenwood Triblade in January 2015 and have hardly used it over the last 2 years and 6 months and it's stopped working. Not worth it for that fancy price. I previously had a cheap BigW handblender for $10 which lasted me for over 10 years. I'm not surprised that this has now been discontinued. Save your money and go to Kmart!!

We have hardly used the mill, and it is broken. ie the drive in the top of the mill is broken.
Don't seem to be able to get replacement, except buying the whole thing again.
Can see why it's discontinued. Poor design to break so easily.
The actual blender works well.
I have had my Kenwood Triblade for some years now -bought it on layby at a Target store. Today it finally gave up. I took good care of it and it sat on my benchtop ready for use. On average three or four times a fortnight. Looking forward to buying another as the motor part cannot be repaired. Also looking forward to the beaker as my model was without that.

I have had this model since October 2015 and have been putting the shaft into the DW like all previous immersion blenders I have owned. Apparently this model cannot be put into the DW as the shaft collects water and it is nearly impossible to get it out. Instead, when I shake it vigorously, a few dark brown drops will come out and I can hear that the shaft is almost full of this water. My fault for not fully reading the instruction manual (who really ever does this) and definitely Kenwoods fault for selling a piece of kitchen equipment that cannot go into the DW to be sufficiently cleaned.

I purchased my HB720 a few years back and the motor has died. Given the purchase price you would expect it to last longer, as it was probably only used once a month in that time. In fact, the cheap stick blender it replaced (which we got from Aldi), and gave to our daughter, is still going strong. When I was a kid Kenwood appliances represented quality, now they represent junk

I bought this unit a couple of years ago and have had faultless service from it. I use it to blend protein shakes a couple of times a day and it has performed perfectly. I also use the bowl attachment to make fresh bread crumbs, which it does better than any other piece of kit I have ever used. The potato ricer attachment makes the smoothest mash I have ever eaten, although it is a little messy to clean The detachable heads are easily cleaned and if you get water in them, simply invert them to drain any liquid out. What I have found is that you...
Read more must seat the cutting heads properly so that they engage with motor unit properly. I don't try and get it to do the work of a blender, it has limitations as does any hand blender. A great product overall. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.Related Articles
Basically you get what you pay for. I've had the blender for 1.5 years so it's out of warranty and only used it about 15 times. Spoke to customer service who told me that I could take it to a service centre (licensed to them) and get it checked to see if it was faulty. I called the service centre and said it sounds like the motor so don't bother bringing it in because it can't be fixed, only replaced and because it is not under warranty, they won't replace it. What a waste of time and money!! Another note: Apparently the customer service person...
Read more I spoke to at Kenwood (actually delonghi and Braun) had never heard of this issue before?? I find that hard to believe given the amount of complaints I have read today. I'll never buy another Kenwood product.- 7 reviews

Have had the blender for 4 years now. Still works fine, however both the food processor and pan safe attachments trap food within the plastic. We never submerged the parts in water or washed in dishwasher, but find disgusting brown liquid leaking from the attachments. Decided to bin those attachments as they were obviously very unhygienic.

The literature in relation to this piece of equipment well and truly overrates the quality of the product. I had it from brand new and used it only once, intermittently, for approximately 20 minutes overall. Had used an old 250W stick blender of another brand for ten years, for processing sauces and as it was getting a little tired decided on the more powerful model with allegedly 700W. After a maximum of twenty minutes of intermittent work, the motor failed, giving off smoke. Unfortunately I had purchased it some twelve months before requ...
Read moreiring it, so it was out of warrantee. I had to revert to using old faithful, which is still doing the job, but struggling for power. If this product failed blending tomato sauce, then expecting it to do any of the other jobs it is claimed to do is, in my view, highly unlikely. I don't believe I can justify giving this product a rating,I was so impressed with this product when I first purchased it, I bought two more and gave them as gifts.
Unfortunately all three broke down. I replaced mine twice under the warranty but the last one I only used a couple of times and it packed up. I could not recommend anyone to buy this product.
Questions & Answers
The white cover for the food processor (where the top of the spindle locates), the bit that connects the motor to the food processor and blade, has water in it despite never being placed in dishwasher or submerged for cleaning. This is the second time this has happened. The first time it was replaced under warranty. What is the part number for this? Is it the same part as that for the HB724?
I only used my blender 3 times, and it seized up on me WHY? Can I find a replacement please?
I’ve hardly used mine either and it’s just died. Not impressed! Out of warranty of course.
