We've got two in the household. Is it possible to rename the headphones somehow to better identify thier digital footprint?
1 answer
That depends on the devices you are connecting to. Go into the device's Settings and find the Bluetooth Settings section. All your paired Bluetooth devices will be listed there (this isn't the same screen that you use when connecting to them). There is usually a symbol next to each device in the list - maybe a Gear cog, 3 bars or if not, try 'press and hold' on one of the headphone's listing. You shd then be offered the option to rename the device to something meaningful (are they different colours?). Then rename the other to suit. You will need to do this on each device that you will be using to connect to the headphones.

I just bout the plum Bluetooth anko headphones, they are fully charged but they won’t turn on! What should I do?
1 answer
Press the power button, and if that doesn't work, hold it down for a second or 3, and then it should.

I'm unable to enter pairing mode and after a million times of holding the power button down for 3/5/10 seconds have not once been able to get the blue and red light to flash. All that happens is the headphones cycle though on/off cycles.

I can't get them to work at all. I don't know if they are charged or not because while I have it plugged in to a USB port the red light is on then off then on then off. Nothing happens when I try and pair them with my LG stereo, which claims to have Bluetooth. I am going crazy.
1 answer
Catwic, it isn't helpful design, but the red light lets you know its charging, but goes off after a short while. Eventually you should see a green light when it's charged. Your Lg stereo is more likely to receive music via bluetooth, than to transmit it to headphones. Try using headphones with music from a phone or computer to see if they are working. You can get a Bluetooth transmitter to send the signal from your stereo's headphone output to the headphones if you wish.

My Anko Bluetooth headset will not enter pairing mode. I cannot get the red led to flash alternately with the blue. Pressing the power button only turns the thing on/off with the blue led flashing.

I found this when trying to pair to a 2nd device e.g. a tablet as the headphones were already paired with my phone.
Unconnected on my phone then I was able to see them on my tablet and pair

Whenever we watch YouTube on iPad (via Bluetooth) and change to a new video the volume cranks right back up by itself and is painful to the ears. This obviously shouldn’t happen. We got the headphones for our 6yo to use. What can we do?
1 answer
This isn't an issue with the headphone, it's an iPad issue (not helped by Youtube videos not having any volume levelling. They vary from video to video.) There is an app in the App Store called Volume Sanity which some users say offers an answer to limiting the volume. (I haven't tried it, so I'm just passing on one possible solution to explore.)

I have the small anko headset for 19 dollars and I turn it on it’s fully charged. Do i need to plug it in to something?
1 answer
You can connect it to any phone or any device that has an earphone output jack, by using the mini phono cord supplied (round tips at each end), or for more convenience, use it wirelessly by turning on Bluetooth on your phone (or other display device that has Bluetooth) and turning on the headset power (hold middle button until you see the light flashing). Look at the phone's (or iPad, Laptop, whatever,...) Bluetooth list until you see the headset appear on the list. Select Connect and enjoy the sound - make calls or listen to music you have on the device. No need to plug it in if using a Bluetooth connection (except when recharging). After the first time that you use it with the same device it will just connect without asking to..

Both ends of the charger cord are the same so there isn’t one to connect into the wall thing?
1 answer
Either you are looking the earphone jack connector (the same round connector both ends), or they have accidentally packed the wrong cord in yours. The supplied charger cord definitely has a different usb connector on each end - the larger (common) Type A and a mini. If yours doesn't, just take it back to the store. (Or use a cord that you may already have that charges your phone). I hope that helps.

I got my Anko headphones and they turn on and flash red blue but it doesnt show up on my phone, they used to work but now they dont what do i do?
1 answer
step 1 - try re-starting your phone. That can often sort out many mysterious settings that get lost.
step 2 - turn on the phones Bluetooth scanning, then turn on the headphones, holding the power button until it flashes (sounds like you are doing that bit already).
The phone should then find the headphones and request that you re-pair them.
Hopefully you will then connect and enjoy.

Headphones keep turning the volume down by themselves??
1 answer
I've never come across that situation... if the button was stuck it would cause them to step through tracks. Are you sure that it isn't a control on the audio player app that you are accidentally using while listening (such as up/down arrows)? Another possibility (not knowing under what circumstances your problem occurs) is that digital tracks in a folder or playlist are not volume normalised, so each can be recorded at a different volume when compared to the others. If that is the problem then the same tracks will be lower than the others each time you play them in sequence, whereas if it's a random fault then the same track would be softer only sometimes when you play it. If it turns out to be a fault, take them back (even if out of warranty, - it cant be from misuse).
