Best real 4WD out there still
We drove all the candidates - Audi, Merc, BMW, Toyota, Jeep etc, and settled on the 3.0TD SE. I love the fact that it's a brilliant tourer as well as an extremely capable off-roader. We've taken it to Queensland and next year will hop across the Nullarbor to Perth. It also packs a huge number of IKEA boxes into the back and has fitted an entire outdoor lounge as well. I love the enormous capacity.
Pluses - Plenty of performance, you can overtake with confidence.
