Does the laser blu-db4000 play 4k ultra HD blu rays
No. only a 4K designated player can play these later technology discs (even though they are a Blu-ray, they are an updated type of Blu-ray). the entry level SONY 4K will, but struggles with some discs like recordable- bluray discs. I have both; the 4K really only for 4K. Check reviews on any 4K players you may consider (e.g. JB). Other points = 1080 bluray discs UPSCALE wonderfully on a 4K. * the range on 4K discs is limited, and costly. The 4K difference is not always that noticeable - more so in sections of shows, where it can stand out significantly. If you go both, grab a cheap HDMI switcher from somewhere like Jaycar. * 4K discs from all over the globe are region free (perhaps why the range remains limited?). enjoy!
Is the picture the full size of the screen. I have a laser which.is not.

My DVD 3000 blue ray plays DVDs but won't play blue ray comes up on screen 480! Reselution won't bring settings up when I push remote Buttons
you need to press the HDMI button on the remote (up to 3 times to find the correct resolution of the 3 choices). This may be occurring if you are using the RCA plugs (red, white yellow) instead of the HDMI cable connection (rectangular plug) to connect the BD3000 to the tv. Good luck.... they are generally an excellent player.
I bought a Laser player but every time I insert a dvd it says: No disk
I purchased your blue BD3000 player in February and up until June it was fine. Now it has no sound.I’ve checked the settings and they are fine.Has something gone wrong with the player.
I HAVE LASER BLU-RAY DVD PLAYER BD3000 (Red back version). It wont play region (A) Blu-ray discs. I have sent the unit back and got a replacement. Guess what it still wont work on the replacement player. Works fine with region (B) blu-ray disc's but wont work on region (A) disc's. I have done the code 8520 and changed it to 1 2 and 4 and still wont play the region A blu-ray disc. Ive tried everything possible. please help as i thought this was a region free blu-ray player.
I brought a blue ray DVD I can hear the sound of the movie but has ( cps limited analog don't know what to do I open the cd player to see if that works but nope
If you are playing a Blu-Ray disc and you see this error message, try switching your video connection from an analogue connection (AV or Component) to a digital connection like HDMI. This will not only fix the issue but will provide better video and audio quality. If there is anything else we can assist with please reach out to us at [email protected]
use Hdmi cable and switch to hdmi on TV it works that way

I understand it's 'multi region', but does that mean it plays NTSC DVDs?
I put on a DVD in my Laser Bluray player and it said the DVD was damaged but I play it in my DVD player and it works well. I tried each DVD from DVD set and it was the same case. Other DVDs worked. Why is that?

Can I buy a replacement remote control for this DVD player, and if so wherefrom in Geelong Victoria?
Basic knowlege. Use google, search for model number and the word "remote" as well. They are out there. If u have the manual you might find the actual serial number. Serial numbers are very useful in websearching.
Thanks for your help, I will give it a go.
Hello Darren. Did you have any luck finding a replacement remote for your Bd3000 ?
The remote control part number is "X-RMT-BLU-BD3000". Googling this unfortunately does not help! For anyone else looking to replace their controller you can actually buy it direct from the manufacturers website laserco.com.au, it is under the product page for BLU-BD3000 under Accessories. At time of writing it cost $19 for a replacement controller.
Have HDMI connected, player seems to start by reading disc... then nothing happens...blank screen
Help please
Hello Laser...
I've just purchased a BD3000 (in Australia), I'm trying to play a Blu-ray from the USA.
Seems the player won't do it as is, I've changed the 'Country Code' in Settings to UNITEDSTATES, doesn't work. There's no option to change the Bluray code in Settings on my player, which I've seen others speak of.
Is there any way I can play Blu-ray discs from other Countries or did I buy this mistakenly?
Mart
Run your dvd player through the HDMI was the only way it will work I live in Australia too change settings back to what they were mine keep saying no analog hope this helps work for me
Sorry meant to say it was saying no analog until I ran through HDMI . I went back to Good Guys thinking it was faulty but the chap said try this and it worked
What does BD region mean
