I purchased my new Laurastar Smart U iron system 2 days ago in Blackburn Melbourne, one morning I woke up and I decided that it was now time to Upgrade my iron.....so I Took my very old (but ever faithful) 15 year old yellow Laurastar Steam which I paid $449 for back then, I popped it in my car and off I went on a 3 hour drive to trade for an Upgrade...of course I knew when I got there that I would choose the most expensive of them all the (Laurastar Smart U) and boy!!! fantastic smart, ingenious system.. all I can say is WOW!!! What an Amazingly smart system, not only does it look good but it’s a dream to use...this iron is truly amazing and cuts my ironing time down by half, it is everything I ever wanted in the one convenient place, all I have to do is roll the board out into my desired room and off I go and start my ironing...that’s how easy. With all this being said I have to mention that I have only used my knew Laurastar Smart U once since my purchase, I am so in LOVE!!! With this machine and so completely overwhelmed at the convenience of having everything handy In the one place, all I had to do was open up my board take out the steam iron from it’s wonderful hidden compartment, fill the water tank and plug in...that’s how simple it was to use, for me this is an amazing PLUS as before I would need to move my heavy old ironing board into the lounge, then go back and get the Laurastar Steam iron (which was extremely heavy being an old design Laurastar) I then went back for hook and sole plate, and at times this would drive me crazy, so much so that I reduced my ironing from every few days to fortnightly as I saw it as a chore that I hated doing. Now I look forward to ironing with my new Laurastar Smart U system, even now, I am counting the days when I will wash my clothes and do my ironing again...this is a new experience for me actually wanting to iron and I get excited and can’t wait to do it all again. Now for the best part!, when I went in to Trade my old for a new, I was pleasantly surprised that I was given 3 times more than what I paid for my old one, I got an amazing 30% Trade in, $1050.00 discount used towards my new Smart U system, Jenny (Representative) Was so lovely that she also gave me another Beautiful Purple Laurastar Cover as well as a super fantastic Laurastar Clothes Stand For me to use when hanging up my ironed clothesPurchased in March 2021 at Laurastar for $3,499.00.

Wow how easy has my ironing become
Ironed my bed linen same result as hotel sheets.
Only trouble has been folding up the board still getting use to it.
Clothing transitioning has been simple.
Steam is continuous and takes out any creases.

Very happy with my new Laura Star Smart U. I think it was 2005 from memory that I purchased my 1st Laura Star for around $700. I was actually very impressed when I took it back as a trade in and they knew where, when, etc. I'd purchased it. So that's 14 years of valuable service it gave me, incredible. ways wanted. I am really loving my new model but I am still getting used to it. It's really great on delicate and printed garments as well as jeans and heavier fabrics. The staff taught me a few things while I was there and they also advised me how best to care for it. They picked me up on a couple of things that I didn't know beforehand which could have helped me care for my previous model better so I was very appreciative. There really is no comparisons to Laura Star, it's the cream of the crop...Purchased in October 2021 for $3,499.00.

Great iron...don't know if it is really worth the money but I do enjoy using it!
I had an old LauraStar iron (steam iron only...not the ironing system) and really appreciated the steam and ease of use. My husband bought me the SMART U as my 15-year old tank had started to leak (yes....15 years!). It is really easy to use and has a great water reservoir. I love the built-in air pump when ironing gathered materials, and the vacuum effect when ironing heavy materials/pleats/most pants. It also packs away & wheels away easily. I wouldn't waste my time/money on the connectivity of the app next time, as I usually don't have my phone with me when I iron anyway. Overall very happy with this iron...anything that makes ironing easier and more efficient has my vote!

recently purchased our second Laurastar ironing system, this time an upgrade to a Smart U.
it is a very versatile machine, making ironing all sorts of fabrics so easy, including stiff cottons (steam is great) to more delicate items .

Wow! Where have you been all my life
This is our first Laurastar iron. We could not believe how well it irons everything. My husband is amazed by how easy it was to iron his business shirts. It cost a lot of money and never thought I would spend so much on an iron, but now that I have one I don't think I would want to be without it :)

I have a large collection of quality fashion shirts (men's and mostly cotton) but, with a regular steam iron, it is impossible to get them completely crease-free. Using the 'blow' function in the ironing board (table), in combination with steam, removes creases in my wife's 'delicates' easily, especially blouses and jumpers (silks, synthetics and wool), no actual contact with the iron required so no danger of marking the fabric or producing shiny 'iron marks'. Hi, i noticed the water container still has a lot of water in it but yet the machine stops working until I refill it. I used the water container from my old laurastar and the water emptied a lot more before I had to refill it - it seems like the new container design is not as good because I am not able to iron as many garments before having to refill it when there is plenty of water still in it.

I have used a Laurastar product previously but not this style - it was an old LAURASTAR Steamup, and find that I don't need to fill as often with the SMART U. Do you use it in the auto-steam mode or manual steam mode? Maybe try the opposite of whatever you currently use? I use the auto steam mode and it seems to work really well.
