rust is present on a brand new vehicle.
Bought a G10 and found rust in weird spots. contacted the dealer and we were allowed to take it to our own panel beaters for repairs. The panel beaters would not quote as the rust is in spots that are in areas where they cannot warrant the return. Spots to look for rust are - under the side door seals at the top by roof - bottoms of the doors where there are drain holes - rear door when open at the top left and right - front panel join in front of side rear view mirror - there are other areas as well just look around. I first noticed this about...Read more
3 months after I bought it. LDV did get it in somewhere but the rust did not get fixed. I will take it in again however it is hard as I rely on this vehicle as I am a tradie. I talked with a panel beater that does the repairs here in town and he told me the just wipe white sickaflex over the rust areas as they cannot do a proper repair. This issue is the only thing that is stopping me from buying more vans. other small issues are. Cruze control can sometimes not work. bluetooth is not the best. bit of turbo lagPurchased in March 2021 for $36,000.00.

Cheap Chinese Crap
I don't actually own an LDV, but a friend of mine that doesn't bother using the internet does, and I'm writing this on his behalf because I'm outraged for him and think his story needs to be here.
He purchased a LDV G10 (should be called a C3 in my opinion; C3 meaning: Cheap, Chinese, Crap!), in August 2018. Just over one year of ownership, the van has spent over three months back at the dealership, for issues they can't fix and have claimed as "general wear and tear", but the most disturbing, is the fact that he has serious amounts of rust ...Read more

Brilliant Value for Money
Bought the 9 seat G10 in Nov 17 & haven’t looked back since. The only issue we’ve had was a loose bolt on the slide door bracket which was an easy self fix with a shifter. Very spacious vehicle for both people & luggage & great for transporting kids & their friends. Seats are really comfortable like armchairs for that long distance drive. Engine has never missed a beat & worked perfectly with great fuel economy. We bought two ldv’s for the price of one people mover from the competition with the same & more bells and whistles than others offer, ...Read more
which are inclusive & not added extras as other brands charge. You really can’t go past these vehicles given the quality & price point. Shop around for servicing as VACC accredited mechanics are at least 50% cheaper than dealership charges, and it doesn’t affect your warranty. We were also advised these vehicles don’t require the 1st 5,000k service as stipulated, so first service took place at 15k with absolutely no issues other than to change mandatory filters & top up fluids.Purchased in November 2021 at Bedggoods Ballarar for $29,000.00.

Terrible
Not recommended. The back down screen has no use. It is unclear, dark and no DVD player. When connected to the USB, didn't work while car is in motion. The camera is very vague and un clear and at night you can hardly see anything. The brakes doesn't work as efficiently, took it to the dealer they said nothing wrong . But compared to other cars it takes its time to stop. The technology is a joke...

Van convert.
I purchased our G10 Turbo Diesel with a 6 speed manual primarily for a Getaway van that can carry our surfboards and SUPS. In one year I have travelled 34,000 klm trouble free with some amazing economy of 6.9L/100klm. My wife uses it to haul her goods to the markets as well and seems to carry loads well. (Max loads to date 550 kg)The motor is a gem and has surprising amounts of power for a van. I purchased it after positive feedback from an Undertaker who travels over 50,000 klms a year and was in the process of picking up his 2nd one from the ...Read more
dealership. He said he prefers to take it than his more expensive Hyundai I Load. The van has been serviced regularly and our long term mechanic thought it was good value for money. I would like to see a bonnet deflector added to the options list as the bonnet does pick up stone chips easily. Mick from QLD.Purchased in June 2021 for $28,000.00.

Very poor quality
1. Heater is is poor in cold weather.
2. Bluetooth in useless when on the highway. Have to use an aftermarket model
3. Reverse camera does not work properly at night
4. Cruise control is slow and unresponsive. Sometimes you need to switch the car off to get the cruise working again?
5. Can only have one fob with these vehicles??

Awesome Family Van
we use our van every day for our family school runs, we have a G10 7 Seater 2.0 Turbo and surprisingly this van can use SHELL RON91 petrol (checked and no knocking), but usually use 98 for long road trips which was awesome, filled up once from Sydney to Melbourne no refills along the way. service every 6 months and expected it to be a tin can but it has a nice weight to it and no body roll when turning. favorite feature of the van is the space, 6x passengers and my Medium size 29er mountain bike in the boot or it can go in the middle without taking of front wheel.

G10 People mover shuttle bus
Purchased my G10 7 seater turbo 2.0 used at 17,000km hasn’t missed a beat apart from a faulty radiator cap that left a coolant smell, now at 65,000km mine is used for airport shuttle and I move a lot of passengers.. parts aren’t easy to come by, but I buy parts from LDV ahead of time.
Would I recommend?? Yes, as long as you remember you aren’t spending 80k on a Mercedes v-series you will be fine

The Best Van ever
I have driving this van since 2016, and it is really good.
Well, the car had some small fixable issues, but all been fixed up during the services.
My one is a 9 seater.
This car can use SHELL RON91 petrol (checked and no knocking) and not sure why the manual mentioned >RON92.

Rusty scam - this ldv brand should be closed down
I have had the car (or should say purchased the Van) 3 months ago - it has yet to need to be refilled so under 600Klm.
Van has been back for several small issues
BUT
I found rust in the car - I never would have purchased this car with the rust it has in it - I as an Australian Consumer under LAW have every right to a refund - check out the QLD government site to see this is true. The dealer based in Ipswich refused - ? Yep breaking the law is okay with them. They blamed LDV again read the law they can not do this.
I am a small business so have...Read more

The Best Van ever
My family and I love going out together, so we decided to purchase a 7 seater. The 7 seater we first got was so hard to get in and out of so I decided to look into purchasing another that was easier to get in and out of. After months of searching we came across the LDV G10 people mover. Its so big inside, with ample room for everyone and luggage too. We got a special edition with leather seats, a pull down usb tv player, it has usb points all over the place so you can keep everybody,s devices charged at all times. All seats slide forwards ...Read more
and backwards including the very back seat, and all recline. I have a sun roof and a moon roof. I love love love this van.... The only thing that is not great, is that there is no Apple Play or GPS system. Also its really high so now i have to watch for height restrictions when I go into car parks, and through tunnels. Over all we all love the car, and its more than fabulous for the price paid.Purchased in December 2021 at LDV Penrith Branch for $36,990.00.

My motorcycle carrier/ people mover
I bought this van (7 seater 2.0lt T) to replace my 1995 HiAce sbv and as other people have said, you can't buy any brand name van with 2 to 300,000klm on the clock for the same money. My g10 was an airport shuttle between Brisbane and the coast and had 94.000klms on it when I bought it. The van now has 108,000klm on it (7000klm on a trip carrying a bike) and I have really come to like it. I changed all the fluids and filters when I got it and the van has been problem free. Fuel economy on the highway is better than the HiAce (around 9lt/100klm)...Read more
but around town about the same (13-14lt/klm), but the comfort level (NVH) is really good, and all the modern conveniences are fitted to the vehicle. Removal of the rear bench seat and 1 rear single seat made it possible to load a motorbike in the back for my annual trip only. A fridge in between the front seats was fitted when I bought it and it is also a useful addition for travelling. I like the power for over taking and the cruise control is one of the best I have used. Steering and brakes are good and I found all the service parts online in Australia were delivered with in a week. (bought from Sydney). The reversing sensors and camera are a boon to any van and a welcomed add on. The van only moves on wet days and once a week shopping plus the annual trip so I am not expecting to add large mileage soon. I will update if anything changes.Purchased in June 2021 at private for $13,000.00.

Almost perfect
I bought the 2015 2.0 petrol Turbo automatic in mid 2016 and have since done 160,000km. Almost 2000km every week, fuel economy is fairly good as I usually fill 80 liters of 98 premium fuel and get a minimum of 700km out of the tank. Vehicle has not given me any issues since warranty has ended but during the warranty period I had a faulty aircon and a loose seat and faded door handles. All have been replaced hassle free. I've gone through 2 sets of tires, one set of break disks and have been servicing every 10,000km. NOW! the issues I have is th...Read more
ere is a very limited aftermarket spare parts list, to the point where I had to scratch my head just to find a simple (Or not so simple) cartridge oil filter. Parts are expensive genuine, the wait time for parts to arrive is also frustrating (arrival from China), having to go through "Holden" dealership that is the middle man is the worst thing of all. Other than that, absolutely love the van, has not missed a beat, as long as you're servicing the vehicle according to the manual? It'll thank you in the long run.Purchased in August 2021 at Ringwood LDV for $28,990.00.

Very good car for the price
Purchased the 2022 G10 Executive 9 seater. From the car point of view it is very good. A lot of features for the price.
The only thing that lets this car down is the Bluetooth(volume for the people your speaking to is very low as it’s a poor quality microphone) and the fact the car doesn’t come with floor mats. The last thing is the fuel consumption is not what they state(it’s not bad but no where near there assumption)
Purchased in January 2021.

Tradies don't buy this van
To all the tradies and couriers out there who are contemplating in purchasing an LDV G10 van my advice to you is don’t.
You pay for what you get. Yes, cheap to buy compared to all the other commercials vans out there but at the expense of quality fittings throughout including all things mechanical.
In March of 2016 I was a very happy man purchased my LDV van. Needless to say had I realised that the stress and trauma that this van was going to cause me over the next three years i would have left it at the dealer.
After I had the van for thr...Read more

LDV G10 Brake Failure
Our LDV G10 has only just clocked over 65,000kms, averaging around 20,000 easy kms per year, and has had to have ALL 4 Disc rotors replaced!. LDV claim its not under the 3 year 100,000km warranty and will not pay for it to be replaced. Very disappointed very expensive exercise ! Expect to be up for just over $1000 for this to be done.
The repairer was surprised as to how bad these rotors were for such a young car !
The thing is the parts are all factory and hence the high price. Yes these things are cheap BUT you will be stung in other ways.......
This is a valid claim from a company in Brisbane.
