Can you please provide the specifications for each fold up model, ie weight, battery capacity, average distance etc.?

Hi, Thanks for your message. All our folding bikes weighs around 24kg including the battery. There are two types of batteries available, 10Ah or 16Ah. 10Ah battery will give you a range of up to 20-50km and 16Ah battery will give you up to 32-80km. This figure depends on the weight of the rider, condition of the road and amount of assistance you required. For example, when pedalling with PAS, the bike can go up to 50km on a flat terrain with a 70kg rider pedalling with low-medium assist. If the rider is heavier, if there are hills and if you use high assistance, the range will reduced. If you have more questions, please feel free to contact us on 1300 856 725 to discuss further. Thanks!

Hi, Thanks for your message. Did you mean a rear rack on your car that holds the bike? Otherwise, the folding bike does not come with any additional accessories nor do we sell additional accessories for our bikes. For more information, please contact us on 1300 856 725. Thank you!

I can't help you with this as I don't own a Libelle.
Can I suggest you contact Leitner on: https://www.leitner.com.au/contacts/
I've found them very nice to deal with & quick to respond.

Please find the product information at https://www.leitner.com.au/leitner-electric-bike-folding-250w-step-through.html The weight of the bike without battery is approximately 20kg, with 16ah battery approximately 24kg. Pease note that it is unlikely that you will be able to transport the lithium battery on a plane. Ebike batteries have a high capacity and therefore not allowed on most airlines. Carry bags can be purchased at a local bike store and some customers have reported that they found suitable covers for the ebikes at local hardware stores.

I made one out of a rubber backed curtin but I believe any bike shop should be able to help you get a proper one with a handle.

You may find carry bags at local bike store. Some customers have reported that they went to hardware stores and found suitable products, e.g. barbeque covers.

Just wondering if anyone has used these on beach sand at all and if the tyres can take it and still go forwards? If not have you been able to deflate them so it works. Otherwise have people at least been able to drive them on hard sand or fit fat tyres on the fork and frame if it can be modified to do so? Thinking of getting one of these for one of our camping trips so we can camp out under the stars on a beach somewhere. Would be perfect if we could zoom off on the beach with relative ease :)

I have used the bike on almost all surfaces except sand. Apart from sand, I found loose stone was the hardest to handle if you don't slow down and have a firm grip on the bars. At my age, I would not risk riding on sand.

You may consider the fat bike https://www.leitner.com.au/electric-fat-bike.html Its 4 inch wide tyres are quite suitable for use on sand. The models with standard 2inch wide tyres are generally not recommended to be used on sand. Having said that some customers have been using them on sand and have reported that they were happy with it, but for safety and maintenance reasons we do not recommend usage on sand for the 2inch wide tyres.

Hi, thanks for your question. The Libelle has a top speed of 25 km/h on the flat (quicker if going downhill) and the standard battery goes up to 50km on one charge, the bigger 16ah battery goes up to 80km. please find all the info at www.leitner.com.au/electric-bikes.html and we are also happy to answer all your questions over the phone 1300 856 725. I hope this helps. regards, Leitner eBikes

Not once have I got near 50 kay on my Leitner and I peddle and it is flat how any one gets fifty kays out of charge is a mystery I have no complaints about the bike but it does not do 50 kay the distance is a variable depending on your tyre pressure your weight the terrain wind resistance etc There is no way of determining actual distance on charge about 36 to 40 kays is maximum

Yes I agree with Tom, the distance travelled and the speed depend uponmany things such as:
* Tyre pressure
* Rider's weight
* Wind direction and strength
* Pedal Assist - used or not
* Amount of throttle used (flat out or just cruising)
* Terrain, flat, little gradients, big hills etc
Plus heaps more variables.
Personally, with the bigger 16Ah battery i get about 50kms with around 30% pedal assist and 70% throttle and fairly flat terrain on my SuperT.

Is there anywhere we could test ride the bikes before deciding which one to purchase please? We are currently on holiday in Northern NSW but live on the mornington peninsula vic. I'm unsure whether to get the 26 or 20 inch folding bike. We want to carry 2 bikes in our caravan so i suspect I've answered the question 20 inch will fold upto a smaller package. Slap can we get bags for storage?

Hi Ian, thanks for your message.
It seems that the foldup bikes would suit you better as they fold up into a small package and are easy to store. Some customers choose the 26inch bikes and carry them e.g. on a rear rack. We don't sell accessories like storage bags, however if you ask at a local bike shop they may be able to help you.
We are an online-shop, that's why you can buy Leitner Electric Bikes at much lower prices as compared to brick and mortar shops. Test ride locations can be found here https://www.leitner.com.au/shops/ The closest one to you would be on Philip Island. Please follow the link above and contact the rental shop there to make an appointment.
Feel free to call us on 1300 856 725. We are happy to answer all your questions to make sure that you buy a bike which suits you.
I hope this helps.
