Treatment of Staff
This is not a beef about the Supermarket, but rather about one of it's staff members from the Hartwell branch.
I think it's a great Supermarket but I was in there last week and waiting at the checkout.
I was first in line, the place wasn't busy and I was not personally in a hurry.
Suddenly I saw what I assumed to be a Manager - a lady in her sixties with black curly hair clapping harshly at one of staff to occupy their checkout.
The Manager prompted me to the Cash Till with a smile.
When I got there, the Checkout Lady looked shocked and embarr...Read more

Selling food for much higher price than advertised
I buy here at least once / week, as I don’t support big supermarket chains.
Customer service here (at Kew) is appalling, however!
Today I bought here 18 month old Gryere cheese, which had a sign in front of it as $54/kg. I even had a chat with the cheese lady, who explained to me the occurrence of white spots as protein breakdown and random, before cutting a large piece for me.

Find out how Leo's Fine Food & Wine compares to other Supermarkets
Know better, choose better.
Staff no idea about rhe stores products.
I love the variety especially the deli. Top quality meats as well. Very expensive but I blame the suburb it’s in which is Kew so they can charge more to rich customers. Deli staff had no idea if any salads were Gluten free. Lack of knowledge and training.

Unprofessional
Liquor store in Kew used to be great. When there last time, the staff is still very friendly, service impeccable but they don’t have a clue what they are selling! Beside so many wines were missing, very disappointed.

Leo's - Heidelberg
They juice oranges in proximity to the entrance, so you are welcomed by the scent of fresh citrus. Their soundtrack is lots of tango music and dramatic popera. I appreciate the effort they put into the ambience - it feels like an experience to shop there.
And they have a huge range of quality products - almost anything you can think of! They stock a great variety of high quality products, but also the affordable basics. Great meat, deli and produce.
I have moved out of the area but go a fair bit out of my way to still shop there whenever I can.
