WT-H750 won't drain after successful wash. OE error. Released water as per manual but no blockage. No burnout smell. Replaced pump and checked all drainage pipes for blockage but still same error. Door closed properly and produces DE error when opened so I don't think this is the problem. Any suggestions greatfully accepted. What else can I check?
Sorry Swashbuckler but I am not a washing machine mechanic. I didn't have that problem with my lemon. Only way to fix it is to get a mechanic to look at it.Wish I could be of more help. Good luck.
Hi, did you ever get this resolved? I am having the same issue with my washer now.
Me too now
Hi there, agitator is not working causing washing powder to sit on the clothes. Rest of cycle is working fine.
Spin dry is working OK.
Please help!
Peter
Hi Peter. I'm sorry. I have no idea what the problem is as I am not a mechanic. I guess you will have to get a repair person out to find the answer. Good luck.
My washing machine works for 3 or 4 minutes then turns off can you tell me what's wrong with it?
I'm not sure Dan. It only happened to me once. I turned the machine off, let it wait a moment and started it again. It hasn't happened since.
Yeah if I wait a minute or two mine will turn back on but the shut down again after 3 or 4 minutes every time I turn it on I'm going to have to pay someone to come and have a look at it
Hi Dan, I have this exact problem. Has your problem been solved? My one would start washing and shuts itself down without any warning and error messages.
It lets me turn it back on after few minutes of wait, but I can't get a complete washing cycle done.
Machine was on cycle, when went to check, machine was off, clothes not fully spun and no power to machine.
Checked power point other appliances work in it, plugged machine into another plug still no power.
Is there a way to reboot it?
I only had that problem once. I had to leave the machine for a while then restart the cycle. Never found out why it did it. Sorry I can't be of more help.
Have a WT-H950, powers up OK, then set cycle, press start, works for approximately 30 seconds then shuts down, no power, no warning and no error code. Any ideas?
My 2-1/2-year-old machine gives an OE error message (which I understand is drainage failure) and there is a burnt smell inside, with the machine stuck in the rinse stage of a full cycle wash. Hose removed and water can come out, so no blockage, etc. Pump problem? Worth repair? Thanks!
Hi Patrick, I'm no expert, but if there is a burnt smell that would tell me maybe the motor or pump has burnt. Its a pity its probably out of warranty, but maybe its worth a call to LG for advice.
I agree an even though you pull the hose off there could be something blocking it inside, An in return you get the smell like its burnt out
I have a LG WT-H 650 washing machine It has an ae error. Any ideas?
The AE error message indicates a leak has activated the flood protection device in the base, turn off your water. Lean the machine forward (or backward) & see if water runs out of the base. If it does you may be able to restart...but the source of the leak will need to be identified & fixed. I think it would be wise to remove the lid & check if the inlet valve has popped first.
I think this is a mechanical problem between the motor and the drum. The manual says AE error is related to 'Clutching problem' and call authorized technician to repair it. May need parts replacement.
I have a direct drive front load machine. It keeps faulting with an IE code. I checked houses inlet and pressure all ok. I then watched the machine filling and it fill way more than normal before timing out and throwing the fault. I surmise it's a faulty water sensor as I fool it into filling twice and the whole drum through the glass is full and it still tries same error code. So it's not an inlet issue. If agreed it's a sensor, any idea on cost? And only just over two years old super disappointed last sims on washing machine ran ten years problem free.
Why does my washer WT-H550 keep displaying dE when I try to start a load of washing?
HI John, DE Error Code means Door Error (LID Open), you have to have the lid closed when you program machine, other than that is something preventing the lid from fully closing, or you might need a Technician if there is a fault in the Lid Electrical mechanism that signals the computer that it is closed (Lid ), I am not a Washing Machine Technician, the pdf for this machine is online and has the Error Codes listed, as well as how to properly operate this Machine to get good results. Hope this helps, regards Allan.
Hi, I have had my front loader for over 5 years now, I never had this Error before, but one day it show, and I look at everything including the filter on the bottom, but then I looked at the door seal and there it was, a thin piece of fabric in the door seal, I turned the power off, waited for the lock to unlock, opened the door pushed items all back in. Never had this again problem again. I hope your problem is as simple solving as mine was.
LG washing machine wth550 displaying AE but no water is going into tub.
Dear...
"AE" is a clutching error which is a indicator of water leakage in to the base of appliance. you need to call your LG electronics service centre for help, I hope your machine is still in warranty..i hope this will help.
HI Michelle, Error Code AE is a Clutch Motor Defect, if under warranty ring L.G. and tell them the AE code and they will advise you if they are going to fix the machine or replace it . If out of warranty, the repairs i would say would be too costly, and i personally don't trust the so-called repairman in the city i live in (Sydney) . I would buy a new machine ( and i would really do my homework on trying to finding out the best you can what is the most reliable washing machine out there in the market-place ), salesman will tell you anything, just sign on the dotted line ! So good look, kind regards Alan.
My washing is only 2 months old, I notice yesterday when doing a load it starting to very loud noises when it spinning, it never has happened before. What could be the problem?
Dear....
I'm not really sure but if it is new then you might call LG services for help..
HI Renee, I'm not a washing machine technician, but i would check if there is anything stuck in the bowl, like a coin or something that has been in in one of the pockets that's fallen out when it's been washing, i have had a five cent piece wedge itself in the bottom agitator causing one hell of a noise,i could not see it at first, but when i pulled it out all was well . Another thing maybe to look at is the machine sitting level in your laundry, because when it's in spin mode the bowl will be under strain ( the bowl is suspended by four spring loaded rods from the top of the machine ), i don't know if you understand what i just said, it's hard to explain sometimes, the only reason i know is because with my other L.G. machine I regreased the rods as they were dry . Another thing that comes to mind is could you have washed or been washing over time something excessively dirty or sandy that has collected in the inner bowl ( the part that you can't see ), if that is the case i would try, if you have hot water (i don't ), to put it on a hot water cycle with nappy-san (oxygen bleach ) to try and dissolve any residual buildup, just buy the Coles under $2 one, its the same as the $8-$10 one, i use about half a cup or more in every wash as the washing powders/liquids are just rubbish used one there own, the nappy-san really makes a difference, but for the problem of build up that i mentioned earlier i would tip the lot in, you won't harm anything . The good thing is you have warranty, with the motor/gearbox (main components ) having a ten year warranty, I would ring L.G. about getting them to look at it under warranty, they won't charge you, unless its something simple that the owner has overlooked. Have you read the owner's manual, doing that has solved a lot of problems for me . I hope i have helped you in some way, kind regards Allan .
I have an LG wt h550 washing machine. For some reason the machine will not stop filling with water when i press START.It even keeps filling if i lift the lid! I use fuzzy logic mode, i then have to press SPIN to empty the machine as the water overflows to the top of the machine and on to the floor,Please assist me.
HI David,i am not a washing technician, but i would guess its the water level sensor faulty, i don't know if you machine is still under warranty or not, but you need a technician from LG,I would ring them first to get quote for the service call so you know in advance. Do not operate the machine with all that water overflowing, as the water could be coming into contact with electrical components and as the old saying goes >don't mix water and electricity (VERY DANGEROUS ), its not much help, but its all can give. Good luck .Best Regards Alan .
There is a knocking noise everytime it washes and rinses, do we need to get it seen to or is this normal after 4 years. We also have problems with smell, we regularly do the deep clean cycle but it does not seem to make any difference.
Re noise, not sure but IMO shouldn't be occurring.
Re smell, yes I had this as well even after a hot cleaning cycle with half a bottle of bleach.
As you may have read on this site I gave up on this atrocious piece of machinery when the warranty expired and purchased a Miele front loader. I could not be happier, the cleanliness of my wash was evident from the very first load.
My washing machine displays just 'de'. Even though I can find the soluntion through the manual, it doesn't work still now. The solution is 'Check the lid is closed'. But the lid is closed !!!! . How do I fix this problem? Please help me.
Hi I wish I could help you but sorry I havent come across this problem... yet! :)
My machine doesn't wash all the way I keep getting UE on the sensor monitor like an error or faulty what is that???
Check that your outlet hose is the correct size and is free to allow the water to be pumped out easily. Use fuzzy logic setting. But put the water level on 8 or if the bowl is full, then set the water level to 10. Some times the machine under supplies the water. If there is not enough water in the machine it will shred your clothes and stop. If the computer has to do a certain function in a certain time, and you are impeding the process, the machine will stop and try and correct the problem.
If this doesn't fix it, call a technician for a quote. A professional may find a problem then.
Ohh Thank you so much for the answer really appreciate it !!!
Besides the short wash is there a delicate cycle for polyester and light clothing that wont come out to dry or wrinkled?
Wendy, the only cycle that came close to "delicate" was the wool cycle. I found it to be that much "overly delicate" it was almost useless.
I can't advise strongly enough NOT to purchase this machine, it gave me nothing but grief from day 1 and I was glad to see the back of it.
It has been replaced by a little German lady called MIELE and she works wonderfully, I couldn't be happier!
