Surfs well

published

Floats well, has speed, takes the knocks, likes the solid shore breaks, No complaints in 2’ to 6’ waves, easy to paddle, catches waves man, easy to carry under arm, tried different fins and didn’t slide out. Can’t understand other surfers not liking the gliding fish. Price is good value for what you get.

Worst board ever

published

I've surfed with my 7ft gliding fish about 5 times and it's already got pressure dings everywhere and is cracked down the sides and across the nose from the dings. It is about one surf away from being completely unusable! These boards are a rip off. Not worth it at all do not make the same mistake I did.

this board was a bad choice

published

this board looked ok and the price was good ( cheap ) but after a couple of surfs it was falling apart I know that sounds stupid but it was developing a crack on the bottom side of the rail that was growing longer after each surf even after I reglassed the damage ( crack was going down to the foam ) I sold the board 3 months after purchase

Nice board but...

Same as Clinton. I bought the 6'6 gliding fish and loved the board when I first got it. Great intermediate board for a wide range of conditions. However it started getting pressure mark right from my first surf and after 3 months it was completely covered in ding repairs. I just think the outer layer is too thin. Affordable price but not recommended.

Great all round board

Just come back for G-Land the board handled Kongs at 8 to 10 foot great to paddle
Had a bit of trouble Turning it at Money trees because of the speed of the waves and wide tail
but for $500 best buy I have made in a board for years

Great board for beginners to intermediates

Have been surfing the 7ft 6 gliding fish. Wanted to progress onto something smaller than a longboard. It has good stability and is easy to paddle. Impressed with how it turns considering the high volume of the board (duck diving difficult but not at this stage yet). Would certainly recommend this board and have had no troubles with the deck cracking or compressing. Good board for the price!

Worst board i'v ever bought!

published

From the first day I purchase my new board I was loving it, took me to new levels and I started showing off my new found skills. Two months after I bought this board it started to crack at the tail and then up the rails. Three months in and the deck looked as if it had been run over by a truck.
love the feel, way it rides, turns and speed.
The glass is so thin that its only good for a couple of months, not even that.
