Horrific wind, dog is now an outdoor dog unless I buy another product!
Dog eats this stuff ok, however the gas and smell he emits soon after I purchased it is phenomenal.
No other dog food has done this, I can't imagine what's in it.
Purchased in October 2021 at Woolworths for $12.99.

Dogs poo turned green
My mum thinks they put dye in the food because whenever the dogs eat it their poo turns green, it also makes them itchy. We'll just stick to Nayured Gift Kangaroo dog food

New dog food needs to be introduced slowly
I haven't tried to feed my dog this food but I do give her biscuits in this product range, which have been fine. I was looking for reviews on the biscuit range when I came across reviews for this product and I was concerned to see reviews from customers of Lucky Dog Adult who gave this product to their dog and blamed the food when the dog threw it up. Maybe it was the food but it's more likely that the owners didn't gradually introduce this new food to their dog. You need to change your dog's diet slowly so that their digestive system can adjus...Read more
t to it. One online recommendation is: When transitioning to a new pet food, do so slowly over a period of about 7–10 days, mixing an increasing amount of new food with old food each day: Start with 75% old food mixed with 25% new food for approximately three days. Then mix 50% old with 50% new for approximately three days. I learnt about this from my vet but maybe it's not common knowledge. I hate to think that dogs are being put through this when it's not that hard to gently introduce a new food. I had to do this recently when I changed my dog's dry food and had no problems. Anyway, I hope this helps.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Dog vomited large amounts
Purchased large bag last week, opened and fed the dog about a cup full last night and this morning. She Vomited it all up this afternoon in two, almost undigested but water absorbed lumps. I will not give her any more of this packet. wish I'd kept a photo.
Purchased in June 2021.

Vomiting central!!!!! Be careful!!!
We bought this brand only last week to try something new, as soon as we started giving him this dog food he began vomiting, but it wasn’t normal as the vomit was made up only this dog food still holding there shape, it was as if he was unable to digest them, he was vomiting in small piles during the week but we decided to stop feeding it to him when our dog vomited a day worth of these dog treats in the middle on the night, we were shocked at the amount of this food he had vomited, we have moved back to his original food but word of advice if you do choose to buy this brand, be careful and aware
Purchased in June 2021 at Woolworths.

Made our dogs very ill.
I bought the bone biscuits with smokey bacon. I have six dogs, they had one each, all got the runs & vomited for most of the day. I only bought them because the Shop didn't have their normal liver treat cookies. Never again. Beware. God knows what goes into these products.

The recipe has changed - AT first i thought i had a bad batch - but NO the recipe has changed.
There grainy - hard with an awful texture - my 3 dogs won't touch them.

What happened?!
We have bought these biscuits for years for our dogs for an occasional treat. The new look is reduced size and different recipe and the dogs are not impressed - neither am I. Won't be buying them anymore. Instead we will head to a local farmer's market for a product that is safe and natural.

Not very impressed with this product. Too much cereal in it for my dogs. One dog had reactive skin which is nearly gone since changing his food. I prefer a higher protein and they are now on Full Boar (from produce centre). My dogs are also very active and quite large - which needs to be taken into account when selecting feed.

Healthy and Tasty
Over my 15 year old Maltese x Shi Zhu Maltsese Smokey's lifetime, I have tried to feed him dry food many times. I have alway fed him my dog wet food. Then I found out that it is crap, and bad for your dog. I started feeding him lucky dog, and a day later he was more perky due to higher energy, his coat was becoming glossier, and the skin irritiation I had put down to fleas was gone. Great dog food, I am surprised my dog will eat it, as he would never touch dry food before. He eats a full cup every night, and seems quite happy with it. Keeps wel...Read more
l, package good size, as I don't like buying a new bag every day like I had to with other dry foods for previous dogs. Very tasty (or so my dog thinks; I haven't tasted it myself), dog loves it, healthy, and has a better balance of nutrients than anything else I have given my dog.Similar opinion? Purina lucky dog biscuits contains GMO grains and cereals
Guys I have been giving my dog Purina Lucky dog biscuits for years until now suddenly has a food allergy. The Vet and I have isolated many food groups over the months and the culprit is the Lucky dog biscuits that are made from GMO grains and cereals, and probably irradiated.
grains and cereals can produce surges in blood sugar which can cause stress to the liver and kidneys and leads to increased sensitivity and allergies, not to mention excessive weight gain.
cheap
caused my dog to scratch and scratch and put on weight.

Terrible
I won't be buying it again-too big a pack, goes hard and stale before we could possibly use it all, and the bottom line-neither of my dogs likes it.
I am struggling here. To me, the huge advantage of a dry dog food would be you can put it out and it will stay fresh a little longer than, say, a can. It is not messy, it is easy to store, most likely good for the dog's teeth-all those sorts of things. And convenient.
Do these manufactuerers ever seriously ask any dog owners about the food? I mean, seriously. I have two smallish dogs and most dry d...Read more

What’s the fat content in lucky dog Mimi’s small breed?
1 answer
Mimi, l haven’t kept the packet. I try to buy products with less than 10% as one of my six dogs had pancreatitis. I mostly feed our dogs home cooked meals. The more commercial foods we give the more vet visits we will have. They put all sorts of rubbish in kibble.
I should have known better as l was a vet nurse for years. All six dogs were vomiting & loose bowels

I can’t believe that so many people have the same problem I have and I have being looking for a solution but so far I can’t find any ‘solution’. What has happened to the Lucky Dog Mini dog biscuits.??? My family and myself have been using these much loved biscuits with our dogs since 1970 and I just gave my shihtzu ‘Ellie’ the last heart shaped Mini biscuit. Where can I buy Lucky Dog Minis? Unfortunately they just dont make them anymore i have had to buy a different brand but my dog was addicted to them and she refused to eat the bigger version. Also the ingredients had changed.
That is sad, might just have to make my own ... I can do that and it sounds like fun ...Hanks ..jill
