Is there a blackhawk chopper flying above??
They are one of the worst handling and noisiest tyres I have come across. I do a lot of off road driving and they just don't cut it. I replaced these when I couldn't bear the noise and bad handling any more!!! Fitted two of these on my off road trailer and that's where they are staying.
only good for off road trailers and the noise makes a perfect warning system for the kangaroos on highways.

They are the noisiest tyre I have ever bought except for a set of bar treads for my old series 2 landrover ute years ago
they were cheaper than others at the time, fitted them to our 2000 VT commodore upon bob jane store advice. They stopped the alloy rims from touching the road, the roadnoise will kill any bad song playing on the stereo. Worst tyre I have ever used and I can't go any further than 8000 kms as the noise is horific and don't even expect after sales service from the peanuts I bought them from as there explanation to my wife about ...Read more

Good on road and off road. Long wearing.
I have had now had 3 sets of Maxxis MA-S1. 2 sets of 275/55X17 on my Mazda Tribute V6 with 17X7.5 mags and 1 set of 255/60x17 on my Toyota RAV4 CV6 with 17X7 mags. An important tip with these is to run them at around 36 or 38 PSI. They will last longer, will corner and brake better, be quieter and actually give you a smoother ride. They are a strong tough tyre!
What I love about them is that they are very good on the blacktop and also very capable off road with their blocky tread pattern. As with any dual purpose tyre there is always a compr...Read more
omise on noise versus wear but I always drive with the radio or CD on so have not noticed any real noise issues. Most quiet highway tyres are useless on loose gravel or dirt roads and driving over hilly paddocks is scary. Most off road tyres are very noisy on tarmac and wear out too quickly. These tyres have lasted over 40,000km per set on mixed, mostly sealed roads. I never had to worry about stone or sidewall damage and these babies have never let me down. For the price - what more could you ask? Tough, safe and dual purposeSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fitted to Toyta Kluger after 1st set of Bridgestones went 60,000 kms +. Just removed after 30,000kms(2/3 worn) & replaced with new Bridgys again. Advice: Stick with originalS!
A. Price wise they sounded great @ sub $400. Were cheaper at time than Bridgestone & Toyo(only 2 options then for Toyota Kluger 19" rim!!)B. Fact that I had enough sense to get them off the car before they drove me completely mad!!
Noisy!! (sorry what did you say ? I cant hear you!) Made driving up Geelong road sound like sitting behind a jet at Avalon! Lots of roll in side walls. Braking sounded like discs were down to rivets- No it was the tyres.

They came as a new set on a used car I purchased. I put up with them for 20,000 kms, then gave them away when I bought Yokohamas, no regrets since.
They are black, and stop your wheels touching the road. You can drive on them in the forest where the they do work. Wear rate was low.
Very noisey on road, poor dry grip, poor wet grip, poor steering response, heavy braking in the wet not good.
