Mazda Akari Manual (2016)
I bought thevSoul Red Akari - Salesman was amazed when I told him I wanted a Manual he said no one buys Manuals anymore.....I enjoy driving - we have owned Automatics I find them boring to drive.
I like the extra power one can get using the Gears..
The AkariModel comes with ALL the extras included...sunroof, gps Etc etc etc etc car talks to me.
It tells me School Zone, that I'm driving over the Speed Limit, warns if Railway crossing &,accident prone crossing etc.
So easy to drive - I prefer to sit higher than in a sedan - fuel is Economica...Read more

Big on the outside but tiny inside
Pros: Mazda CX3 is very intelligent looking car. We have the red and it that looks makes it expensive looking car. Very fuel effecient. Built in gps is a plus but at first I find it weird for it on the top middle of the dashboard but get used to it. Cruise control is a plus too.
Cons: The interior seems so tiny. The boot of the car is smaller than the Honda Jazz. Back seats feel very cramped.

Soul Red Paint problems
Lovely car to drive, handles fine. Not a fan of the istop though.
Small interior, but was the size I wanted, as I previously had a Mazda 2.
Does not seem to use any more fuel than the Mazda 2.
Soul Red paint gets stone-chips right through the paint, very frequently. My car had done less than 5000km before I noticed the problem. I have since had 6 stone chips repaired and the car is only 12 months old. In over 35 years of driving, I have never had stone chips go entirely through the paint. It is costing a lot to be repaired, and the car is not going to look good when I want to sell it. I have had 2 spray-painters do the repairs, and both say it is a common problem with Soul REd

Great car, cute, but not roomy
I love the look of my CX3 but there isn't a huge boot or much leg room in the back. I didn't mind this, as I don't use them too often. The navigation was hard to work out how to use & was easier to use my phone. The voice command usually gets things wrong. The car drives nicely & has been very reliable & comfortable, however, i don't think I'd buy another one. I'd say a Mazda 3 would be better for the same money.

Great car to drive!!
Have had the CX-3 for just over a year and a half now and I love it! It's a great car to drive, very smooth and has great fuel economy. I don't go through as much petrol as I used to in my old car! It's a great small SUV!

My Mazda love affair continues
I was loaned a CX-3 while my Mazda 3 was being serviced - and I fell in love so much, that I bought one. I bought the S-Touring model, in 2WD Automatic. I'm very happy with it. I commute on the highway for work, and it has proved very comfortable and economical. Slightly smaller than the 3, it is probably best suited to singles / couples + pets etc. The back seat is adequate if required for short distances, but probably not for extended journeys. It has all the mod cons, electronic driver display, Sat Nav as standard, bluetooth connectivity, US...Read more
B points, climate control, steering wheel controls etc. It is a very likable car. It certainly doesn't have an excessive amount of power - but more than ample when required. The automatic transmission is clever and easy to live with. I particularly like the LED headlights (plus auto lights and auto wipers). Overall, very impressed. Would recommend to singles and couples, commuters and city dwellers. Service costs are not as cheap as others, but not heinous also.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

great
driving experience-wise is pretty good, handling well, but still got quite a lot of noises .. nice and simply interior, very classic. plenty of leg room and really reliable. one tank of petrol can run pretty much 600km, which is more than enough for me for one wk. the boot is a bit small though, as well as the back seat. Great for young couples, not so great for families.

Wouldn't buy another Mazda
The model I took for a test drive was a demo 2015 CX-3 Akai which I finished up buying.
The length of time given to test drive was approx. 10 mins, not enough time to really get the feel of the car.
After purchasing the car on the Saturday, I felt I was pushed into it and not given enough time to think about everything.
On the Monday I rang and cancelled the purchase. Again they threw in an extra incentive to still go ahead but my inner voice was saying "no"....listen to your inner voice!
The car didn't have an arm rest, I asked if you co...Read more

Absolutely love this car! Best car I have ever driven!
An absolute dream to drive, very smooth and handles very well. Very spacious for a smaller car and the over all finish of the car (dashboard and interior) is amazing for the price. Extremely economical and reliable, just an all round great car. Could not be happier with my purchase! After such a great experience I will never purchase anything but a Mazda.

Stylish & Performing small SUV
Mazda CX-3 is my first car in Australia having arrived from Overseas South Asian country where purchase price of normal cars can match the 20% deposit amount on new house in newer suburbs here in Melbourne. Desire was to spend just the right amount for a car without having a white elephant to manage for years to come. Searched and viewed reviews of many cars from Honda, Toyota, Kia, Nissan & Hyundai along with Mazda. Mazda CX-3 came out as a very distinctive stylish car that stands out in looks, drivability and interior finishing as against mos...Read more
t of the other cars on the market. There is a wide variety of color selection available and if you are lucky, the car can be actually made in Japan instead of Thailand etc. It's been 1.5 years approx. with Mazda CX-3 and we still like our purchase. Till 10,000 Km, the engine is a bit noisy as against other cars but post first servicing the actual smooth drive comes out. With Keyless Start/ Stop, it was out first experience but we adapted quite quickly and understood the tiger we were sitting on. It can make a sports car noise if one accelerates from 10Km to 40km with speed still under the limit putting a good competition to Mercedes class noise ;). Pick up is very fast as against many cars including Toyota. I'd a chance to be at 100 Km/hr on Freeways with few best of the brands like BMW where it was easily trudging along though other car drivers have a complex and they speed away. Maxx FWD Auto model has option to add Security features that one can find in Grande class of Toyota or other big brands at about $1100 and I would certainly recommend anyone to have these on CX-3. Makes driving safe. Security features are Rear Parking Sensors, Blind spot monitors etc. Satellite navigation, Reverse Camera, Cruise Control & other controls on the steering wheel are easy to use. 7 inch Infotainment screen is similar in style with costlier brands like Mercedes etc. Car has bluetooth connectivity, CD player, internet radio integration with Pandora, Aha etc., AM/FM radio and 2 USB input ports. Boot space is small but the seats are collapsible thereby creating the required space to put most of the things though only 2 passengers can sit if the space is filled up.1 comment

The service at Old Mac Mazda Cleveland is brilliant. Lauren is the one to see. Its been an excellent experience all round.

Beautiful, Sporty and luxurious
After test driving a number of small SUV's I couldn't go past the Maxda CX3 Akari with such a stylish leather interior with memory foam seats, just the right amount of features like blind spot warning, keyless entry and start, navigation and Skyative technology.
This car is reliable, safe and so comfortable to drive with active driving display and touch screen all at a safe height so your eyes stay on the road and aren't distracted by reaching down to a screen like all the other SUV's.
There is ample room for me and my dog to cruise around ef...Read more

My dream car
So glad I Chose my zoom zoom CX3 as it is a fabulous small car that is so so comfortable, easy to drive with
bells and whistles. Love the blind spot mirroring, reverse camera. Interior very stylish. What isn't perfect is the height adjustment of driver seat, however I added sheepskin covers and couldn't fault it now. The Mazda CX3 is a little dearer to run than my old echo but I expected that and for comfortable all wheel drive with plenty of boot space it's a dream.

Mazda CX-3 - The Baby SUV
The Mazda CZX-3 ia the perfect baby SUV, with comfortable seating for 5 and double boot space it is perfect for the small family or just the two of you. The extra storeage in the "under-boot" allows you to hide the shopping bags, beach towels, puppy gear, and smaller sporting gear. We store my husband's croquet mallet in the "under-boot" out of the sun & away from prying eyes. The CX-3 rides extremely well and handles like a dream. Day 1- frst time driving our CX-3 i encountered a lounge on the M1. The CX-3 copped very well with a quick swe...Read more
rve to avoid the lounge. The cabin is comfortable and the AC Devine in a Qld Summer. All the dials offer easy viewing. The control centre for phone, radio, navigation etc is controlled by a dail tht doubles as a joy stick. All very easy to lear and control. In case you have not gathered, I just love our CX-3.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A great little SUV - ZOOM ZOOM.
I purchased my CX-3 Akari AWD petrol auto in April 2015 and as of 28.12.16 have traveled 18500 trouble free kilometers.
The CX-3 is an excellent little SUV for cruising on my frequent trips between Sydney and the Hunter Valley region.
It has plenty of zip for cruising safely on the M1 in all weather conditions.
Average fuel economy over 18500k's is 7.5 liters per 100 kilometers getting down to 6.5 L/100 on the M1 regularly.
Good points include:
Lane departure warning; reversing camera and sensors; keyless entry and start; iStop; automatic wipers; sunroof; 7 inch touch screen; excellent handling and fuel economy.
