Best decision I've ever made.
Best money I've ever spent. Yes the workouts are tough and the food size takes a bit of getting used to but once you do it's easy. I didn't stick to the daily planner so much as chose things from the recipe base or other places that fell into the calorie allowance. I no ling crave cake, chocolate, lollies or anything sweet and I have gone from maybe 4 pieces of bread a day to I wrap for lunch. I wasn't a Michelle Bridges fan before and thought it was all a lot of hype about nothing but now I'm her biggest fan. She keeps me motivated especially during the workouts when I'm that sore I can hardly move. About to join round 2 and can't wait. I'm even going to work out Christmas morning!!

WAY overpriced.
As the title says: way overpriced and too inflexible. My Fitness Pal is FREE. Michelle is making multimillions (literally) because of good marketing. Unfortunately I fell for it. There are FAR cheaper ways to lose weight and get healthy.

Not for me
What a great site this review site is. It gives everybody a chance to share their experience of the Michelle Bridges 12 wbt challenge. I would like to say we should all feel safe sharing our opinion, but looking at previous reviews and the judgmental responses it seems some reviewers would like us all to have a positive comment about this 12 week challenge.
Well, here I go, jumping in, and I’ll wait for the criticisms of my reviews because it is an honest personal opinion that some would not agree with.
I found this challenge is design...Read more
ed more for young, fit people, not for the over 50's. Although I am not new to exercise I found the exercise regime quite advanced, even though I was on the easier level. You have to be fully self motivated, there is no personal encouragement. Video encouragement is to the masses. The menu plans were not to my taste. Boring mainly.Similar opinion? I love it!
It's fabulous! As a mother of a toddler, a baby starting solids and myself a diabetic, meal planning, calorie counting, shopping lists all became too hard. This program gave me a meal plan Each week, the opportunity to customise any meals that did not suit me, then a shopping list that I could print and use 4 days before the plan started leaving me plenty of time to get organised. The meals were, for the most part, enjoyable and easy to prepare. The exercise options are great. Each day you can choose a video, a home plan, a gym class, gym machi...Read more
nes or outside routine. Whatever I was in the mood for worked. I had no trouble accessing the site, I think that is more to do with people's internet access. The mindset videos are fantastic and really hit home. I am losing on average a kilo a week, sometimes more. The support is great. When I was going out to dinner one of the dieticians looked online at the menu then told me what meals were the best choice. That's fantastic support. Convenient and it works. The support is great Nothing.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I had tried lots of online fitness programs before 12WBT
I wasn't going to bother writing a review because I thought enough other people would. I just completed the 3 month Beginner Program and today I received the graduation ebook. This item is so good that I have to post a review of the whole program now, it is too good. I have previously signed up for most of the major USA and Canadian online courses, but they are nothing compared to 12WBT.
The website is extensive and very user friendly - comprehensive in all ways, food - all menus customisable with endless choices to substitute if you don't l...Read more

Programme works if you follow it
I loved doing Michelle's 12wbt, it gives you great recipes and a great choice of exercise programmes to follow. I've done 3 rounds in total, I did 2 back to back and lost 8 kgs and went from a size 12 to size 8 and my weight is the lowest it's been since having children 22 years ago :) I rejoined after Christmas because of mindless snacking and after another round and lots of support on the forums I'm back on track. The programme does work if you follow it.

Lost 12kg
This is the best program. I have lost 12kg. What made it work for me was the twice weekly mindset videos that explained all you're negative self-talk and how to manage it. The recipes are wow and my husband and kids love them too. My teenage son who was a little heavy and he has lost weight just by eating the food. I am not ashamed of myself as a mother now, because my son son looks fit and healthy. He now won't eat take away food and either will I. Thank you so much Michelle xxxxxxxxxxx

Michelle Bridges 12WBT - Website
The program is great, the recipes are great, the measurements and weight tracking is great. My issue was with the website. It was very slow and often dropped out. This was not just me, I tried several different computers ad friends had the same issues. The reason I could not rate high is purely because for anything, you had to log on, and it was always a frustrating task. I would have done another 12 week program - if it wasn't for the Website. I hope this is a consideration of the program up upgrade

Great program - you get what you pay for !
I have enjoyed this program and have found it great value for money. I am disappointed to see negative comments on this review site. Many of the negative reviews are from people who want someone to take their hands at each step and walk them through everything. Go and pay for a life coach or personal trainer. It will cost you much more than $200 for 3 month. This resources in this program are huge and there are so many options for different exercises and meal plan (veg, diabetic, gluten free). Obviously if you are fructose intolerant or have a...Read more
n unusual dietary requirement no preformed menu will every suit (go to a dietitian and pay for it). A few things 1. the program depends on you making a choice to follow it (break the rules it will not work, just like any program. You can not have your treats and lose weight). 2. It is a internet based program. If you do not have good internet access and basic skills in the use of internet sites, forget it. 3. Changing your life is not easy, if you expect that stuff will not challenge you, don't do the program it will not help you. This program is about changing your lifestyle.... If you are ready for that jump in and you will do it, but change is alway hard and a bit scary especially at the start. Lots if great excersice optionsSimilar opinion? Payment/contact
After payment of the full amount, and the first week I found I was unable to do the exercise program at home,Few reason I I found it hard to refer to the explaination of what the exercises were and then do one and the go back to the computor, very disruptive, the plan was too intense for some one of my age and no exercise experience. So I thought my daughter would benifit from the program, after emails I tried to transfer the plan to her, I never heard or received a reply, so my advise is do your research and make sure it suits you and your life or Like me you will waste your money.

Not for me
I have a few different allergies which makes it difficult to find meals sometimes. 12wbt advertised it was great for people like me as it had loads of different meal plans, I had to wait until I was paying to see them though. I usually avoid these types of diets because they do not cater for allergies but this one specifically said it did. I could not select a plan that came up with meals for me, I had to filter things out and once I did there was barely anything to eat. I know that you have to think for yourself but when it comes to coming up ...Read more
with my own entire meal plan, what am I paying for? For people who are not in this situation though I'm sure it works fine. But for someone in my situation, I advise against it as it did not make my life easier at all. Exercise plan Meal planSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not worth the money
I went on this diet, and although it gave me some good ideas for meals--that was it.
I didn't lose weight. I think it's got to do with the fact you're completely on your own. Michelle talks about becoming organised and writing everything down, but the message is you have to do everything by yourself, except she gives you recipes.
She just posts up when you're supposed to weigh in--no follow up if you don't so no pressure. No results either.
Good meals
Too expensive, no real help, just a waste of money--a con really.

' or negated your opinion when you obviously have every right to express THAT opinion. How is it my fault that the program is boring? Lorraine, when I said I didn't know who to watch in the video, I was never sure whether I could the beginner or the intermediate, so I was always swapping and changing, and it got confusing because you have to watch it on your laptop which is on the floor. And I wasn't kidding about having a weekly check in. I'm not talking about emails. I'm talking about a weekly reminder, probably on your phone, and you can write on the forum how much you've lost. You know, to keep your head in the game. And yes, if my gym membership lapses, they call me up. But let's be clear: the 12 wbt is extra to a gym membership and a lot of money for 12 weeks, so yes, I'd expect a weigh in check up at least and with Michelle. I'm really glad that you haven't put any weight back and the program has worked for you. All I can do is reiterate is my points in the comments about why it didn't work for me.Similar opinion? The 12WBT program that has ruined me for life!
I started the 12WBT back in February 2013. I regularly exercise at a gym and try to eat healthy, I joined the program wanting to learn some further healthy eaten plans/meals and to also loose some excess kilo's that I had been unable to shred at the gym on my own.
I committed myself to the at home exercise regime and thought this wouldn't be a problem as I had previously regularly attended the gym 4-5 times per week.
I found the meals to be great, a lot of variety, easy to prepare and cook.
After week 4 of the 12WBT, I begun to experience s...Read more

Very easy to do.
I lost 16kg on the 12wbt after having my first baby. It was a brilliant thing to achieve. I didn't set my mind to it, nothing as cognitive as that, I just did it. I recommend it whole-heartedly. I just followed the menu about 95% and did 4km on the treadmill 6/7 evenings.
Easy, motivational. Achievable.

Excellent plan with great results
The 12wbt says it how it is. In order to be healthy, feel good and lose weight you need a combination of calorie controlled meals that meet your nutritional needs along with a mix of cardio and strength/weight based exercises. I am currently completing my third round of the 12wbt and have lost 39kg to date. If you are strict with the plan, it will work. I have consistently lost on average .8kg a week - some weeks more, some weeks less. The meals are easy to prepare and you can customise if there's ones that you're not keen on.
Easy to cook...Read more

Really flexible
I found the 12WBT really good. I was please that although you had a tailored/planned program, you were able to still view the other exercises (such as the at home ones, even if you had selected you had access to a gym) I found it wasn't restrictive at all, and the rest of my family happily ate the recipes. I found the range of programs to choose from really comprehensive, especially for myself who did it more as a lifestyle change rather than weight loss. Forums are great with support and advice from other members, and it feels good to pick eac...Read more

Exceeded expectations, proper meals (never hungry), mindset lessons beneficial for me the start dates/ fact that you do it all at time could put you off starting, but by doing it at the same time you can support and understand eachother.Similar opinion? Sensible advice with enthusiasm
Am just finishing the current round. Was pretty happy with this program in the end. I started following the program exactly as stated but it seem to consume my whole life. As a busy mother of three I made the decision after 4 weeks to cut to the basics - stick to 1200 cals a day and do at least 2 full on workouts a week. The meals and the ability to change them to what you want was all very straightforward. The hubby and kids happily ate the food with a small addition (ie. add rice to stirfrys, etc). I chose the outdoor exercise option an...Read more
d found it really helpful to show what to do and when - as I have not got off the couch for a decade and really had no idea what a crunch or a plank was! The best bit of all was that despite my concern this would be a "rah rah" style program it actually wasn't - Michelle Bridges is incredibly enthusiastic but her advice is actually old fashioned common sense - her JFDI and every body is actually perfect messages were exactly what my mother was telling me when I grew up 40 years ago! She calls a spade a spade - YAY!!! Beginner could have had less diversity with exercises - every time they changed I needed to look up new ones. Also how about a discount for returning members!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I am not Superwoman but this program worked for me!
I love food, have never been a sporty person, and hate getting out of bed early, but with the focus of the 12WBT exercise program and the motivation of regular weigh-ins/fitness tests I was able to lose weight and get fit.
Our budget is tight, but $200 for 12WBT was great value for me. I'm a single parent working 30 hours a week, running my kids to sport and activities after school, and doing all the other work of housework and yardwork on my own, so there isn't much spare time - but by following the Beginner exercise program I was able to g...Read more
et fit and feel more energised than I have for 15 years. I've lost the weight that crept on from years of working at a desk, and now fit back into clothes I haven't worn since before I had children. I also have abdominal muscles that I didn't know existed!! The nutrition program looked interesting and yummy but I didn't have time to prepare such a variety of meals, so picked out recipes that I knew would fit into our budget and family food, and did variations of these each week. There were heaps of options to choose from, but the main thing I needed to do was prepare for the week on Sunday afternoon - shred salads, cut up veges, make sure the food I needed was in the fridge/pantry, and then prepare it the night before each day. I am in my 40s, and don't like "the burn" that fit people talk about, so I didn't kill myself with the exercise program - if I had to rest in between sets or couldn't do it exactly like it was laid out, no guilt. I did what I could and pushed harder when I had the energy. When I started the program I could not run 20metres without puffing - now I jog for 20 minutes (about 3km) with no problem. One of the best things to come from this is that my children are joining me for running and workouts. So I guess overall, I found this program worked in with our life well - it just took daily commitment from me to get my feet out of bed and put my shoes on. I guess the turning point was to realise that no-one else was going to do this for me - the only way it would happen was if I stuck to the program. That is built up fitness slowly and was achievable; showed me how to exercise and helped me focus on my goals. Sometimes the website was annoying to navigate - several screens to get back to where I wanted to be.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best things: food and support
This amazing programme helped me to lose the last 7 kilograms and gave me a huge collection of recipes, vegetarian in my case, that I turn to when I need to refocus. I found the constant support with the chat boards exellent and that everyone was doing the same thing at the same time.
very good recipes
the calorie count is too low: I added more protein to my diet in the forms of shakes, and more snacks. I had 1700-1900 calories rather than the prescribed 1200

Highly Recommended Program!!
I started the 12wbt program in May 2013 and to date I have lost 20 kilos and couldn't be happier. I am not a great cook but found the recipe's easy to prepare and found most meals quite tasty. I loved the fact that you could customize your meal plan to suit yourself. I am on a tight budget so being able to choose meals that were more cost friendly was great and my grocery bill actually decreased as I wasn't putting all the junky extras into my trolley.
The portion sizes do take a little while to get used to especially if you are used to eatin...Read more

I did it 3x had great results
Great exercise plans cater to all and good diets
Overall great program
But you need to be self motivated
As from my experience they never get back to any questions I had no customer support
Any of the times I’d been in it
But would do it again if the support was better
Hi Anne, I was also a gym goer and already quite fit when I did the 12wbt and I got great results. This will definitely motivate you to keep up your fitness. Perfect timing during this time. I still use her recipes and have keep up exercises. I have all her dvds and have been using them during this time of isolation. I would totally recommend this program especially now.
Thanks Mirella

How much is the average food shop per week? i have done this before and lost a tonne but I remember thinking it was $$$
1 answer
If your pantry is a healthy one and your regular shop is to, I found it was just really a tighten up on products I don't think it's any more expensive than a regular shop, I still believe this is one of the best deals around, it's not a diet it's a lifestyle change and the food is only turned to energy which I found got me more motivated because I wasn't eating garbage therefore had more energy and lost weight

1) How many diet books with recipes already printed out can you buy for $200? Answer: A lot. Probably at least four or five. When your 3 months/12 weeks run out in the 12WBT, you lose all the recipes.... Read more
You have to save them and print them out yourself, but you lose access to the website and the recipes. If you spent that money on the books with the recipes, you wouldn't have to pay for ink, paper and a folders for them all. At the end I had 3 folders which cost me about $100 worth of ink to print. Like I say, afterward the entire lot is gone, so if you haven't had the time, storage space or money to print them out, you either have to look at your computer etc. Now, looking at the computer doesn't seem so bad, right? Yeah, except that thousands of others are doing the same thing with downloading the recipes and it takes forever just to get one downloaded. So I have a few folders with recipes, how is that better off than just buying diet books with recipes already printed out. There is extra cost involved. 2) Responsibility. The magical word. I was going to the gym. The videos themselves aren't much of a workout, they don't push you very hard at all. Now these exercise videos are something you have to do in front of your computer. So where do you put your laptop? I put mine on the floor/carpet while doing them, but you have to bend down and constantly peer into the screen to get what they're doing. You do end up being a little puffed by the end of it, but that's it. The videos get boring very fast, and there was nothing enticing about them which is why I joined a gym for the variety ie: swimming, dancing, weights. Not to leave the subject of responsibility, there must also be responsibility from the 12WBT Team, no? They don't contact you if you haven't weighed in. The forums are crazy and so busy, you just get drowned out in the crowd. I posted frequently, asking for exercise buddies to walk along a busy route, no one wanted to know. I posted for encouragement, and tried to help others be encouraged. No one wanted to know. It was just ... here's a set of rules and now you follow them. Right, because that amount of exercise doesn't make you sore or exhausted. 6 days a week is a lot if you have other commitments on your energy spend.
