W5943; unravels thread on shirts and blouses, pills cloths, creates loose ends on jumpers and wind cheaters, wears holes in delicate and dose not filter water well which leads to smelly clothes.

7 years and still going no problems.

It has coped with large family loads and lots of them, without any problems. I bought it to save water, and it nearly halved our water bill:) Its so quiet I've had to set the buzzer to let me know when it's finished.
5 years on and still no problems at all.
Never had any problems.Great low water usage. Very quiet.

Have just purchased the 8kg washer, and asked the salesperson as to what detergent is the best to use omo powder or omo liquid? He said powder as the liquid would drain through, so I went and brought powder as I always had used liquid ( gave my liquid away) Have been reading reviews and information only to read you can use liquid! I'm confused, could you please tell me which one to use or can I use both and what brand is the better to use. Regards Kim

The liquids are fine to use, we use a colour/black wash liquid, Cold Power for cold wash items and Miele's own white wash for whites. It really doesn't matter which, use whatever suits your personal needs, liquid/powder, sensitive skin, etc., since the washer is so good. Just make sure to let it tell you how much to use and use that amount, we always under dose on towels as there is always some suds come from them. Enjoy your machine.

How many years could I expect to get out of a Mielle front load washing machine? There is normally only two of us living here.

Ask Miele but considering they give 10 years warranty in UK.. I expect at least 10 but hopefully 15. My last machine was ASKO and lasted 12 years.

I've had mine 4 years and I've never had a problem, I use it every day and my kids who have left home, still come home to use my washing machine. I have friends who have had their miele for 10 years+ and have not had any problems.

My Miele WP5943 washing machine is saying 'Remove Transport Bar' ?
What does it mean? As anticipated, delivery man has no knowledge of the machine. Miele refuse to send installer, and refund my $25?Now what to do? I bought a floor stock over $2000, not for free, would appreciate some assistance. Thanks

In the back of the machine, they place bars in to stop the drum from moving around when it is in transport. The instruction manual should explain how to remove the bars and you should have been supplied with certain tools to help with their removal. I suggest if you are unsure about doing this yourself, getting a washing machine repairer would be your best option, they can also make sure the machine is adjusted and is totally level before you use it.
