Beautiful car
Have had this car, the LS version, V6 since 2010, bought second hand with 80K on the clock. Has been an absolute great car. Goes like a rocket. The Gallant V6 motor is super. Now has 240K on clock and still going great. Some oil leaks to fix now but that is normal.

RELIABLE CAR
I drive the Magna daily. It came with a factory fitted Impco LPG system. I have owned the car since new and have done 160,000 kms with no issues. It has been serviced regularly every 10,000 kms. Having dual fuel is brilliant especially now with the cost of petrol. You can run this car for the price of a small 4 cylinder hatch. It is such a reliable car I have no reason to part with it.

Most reliable car owned.
Partners first car (10 years ago) serviced every 12 months lately as not used much, was every 6. The only single item we've had to replace in ten years outside of scheduled maintenance as per the manual was the heater core for as it had corroded.
Whoever says Magnas are not reliable has never owner one.
255,000km and counting.

Excellent car
Got mine second hand. It had just over 100,000 k's . It now has 351,000 & still going strong. Plenty of power, plenty of room for a family, great for trips. A little thirsty for around town driving. Good handling. Found it to have a bit of oversteer but not a huge problem. Just passed it on to my son to add another 100,000 or so

Never misses a beat
I had a TF Magna and loved it but wanted the sexy looking TL model which I have now owned for ten years and has 268,000 km on it. Mainly driven around the city but has been to Kalbarri and done 100mph no problems. Also it is after market duel fuel LPG and I occasionally run it on ULP91 to lubricate the ignition. The roof lining collapsed but cost $200 to have relined. Paint fading on roof as most older cars do. Electric window controls broke but bought another from a wrecker. Parts are so cheap.. although an interior door handle is tough to find! Servicing is easy and uses no water or oil! I am now looking for another one with low kilometres!!!

Outstanding car
It is one of the best car of the segment. runs smooth, and has a superb grip on the road. It is a 6 cylinder car, so is a bit heavy on fuel, but the power u get is amazing. It is a great car for family. great design and super comfortable seats with ample space inside.

Reliable, powerful, smooth drive, 12 years 200 Kms on the clock and still going. Go Magna!
Performance is perfect still going the way it was bought, very smooth handling quick response on wheel turns.
Noise is quite compared to other cars.
Dash is great of course not as fancy as current models (12 years later) but I will still say better than most of current model Toyotas.
It's MY2004 but when I bought it in 2008 it had already done 70Ks I have since done 130 and got it converted on LPG, and it is quite cheap to run cost me around 30-35 to do 400Ks per tank (60 lts).
Great car, only things I have changed are the tyres and brakes over the period.

Reliable and best performance for Long Wheel Drive
I purchased an used Magna TL ES/ Wagon about 2 years ago with 114000 Kms on Odometer which is 120000 Kms now.It has always been performing well both in cities and in Highways. It can compete any Car in road in terms of performance. In highways, my average speed is around 140-160 with max of 180, it has beaten every car that come infront and no one to overtake.Last of my trip about 1100 Kms I did, it had rest for just about 3 hours and no problem whatsoever. I am in love with Mitsubishi and feels like really want to install this engine to whichever car I buy in my future.

Enjoyable to own and drive
My son bought a 2003 TL Magna VR-X Limited Edition 3.5L manual sedan in 2009 with 106,000km on the clock. Black exterior and black leather interior. Goes really well with good fuel economy. Good ride, handling and steering. Like the body shape and frameless door design. Comfortable, smooth and effortless cruiser. Had not been treated well previously and needed new tyres and clutch. Otherwise only requires regular scheduled servicing every 15,000km. Now has 165,000km on odo. Always parked outside and the paint now starting to fade in some areas on roof and bonnet. Enjoyable ownership and driving experience. Excellent value.
Styling, comfort and fun to drive

Love my car
I bought my 2003 Magna TL LS in 2004. I lived in town when I bought, but since moved to the country. I do a lot of driving off-road in it and it has been fantastic for handling, and times it should have bogged it just steadily churns on through. It also does a lot of highway driving, and winding hills roads. The radio and the electrics went a little while back, though I think that is the dust and the rough roads. It now has over 300,000 km on it and I think I need to do something about the suspension/shock absorbers! Until now it has been so fu...Read more
n to drive, and considering I have treated my poor Magna like dirt, it has looked after me well. I need more seats, otherwise I would buy another one without hesitation. Reliability; cost efficient Turning circle of a sherman...Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Love that car
A real charmer, I've had 2 Magna's, 1st was a 1998 3lt sports auto & my current one in a 2002 3.5lt sports manual, great performance/family car. The 3.5 goes, stops handles better than Commodore or Falcon I've owned/driven & the Magna/Verada was always regarded as the more refined car, my 2 have also been bullet proof mechanically!
Fast, comfortable, reliable & good looking

Perfect car. Great features for a great price.
I own a 2003 Magna LS. I am the third owner, only had the car for a few months. It set me back $5,500 and for that price it beat everything else on the market.
It has features to rival any Commodore or Falcon for that age and price, it's got plentiful room (the boot is huge) and even though it isn't the most fuel efficient car you can buy, for it's size it gets great milage.
It's done less than 100,000 Km's, which for the age is nothing (to put it in perspective, my Mums 2003 Lancer has done almost 200,000).
The cruise control is great...Read more
, the climate control/air conditioning is super cold, and there is yet to be any faults with any electrical component or wiring anywhere in the car. Runs quietly (except when you really dig your foot in!), the suspension is smooth and the brakes are great.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent
Wouldn't trade it in for quids. It has been a fantastic car to drive. These Magna's are a very underrated vehicle. They are also inexpensive to operate too. Fuel usage and servicing costs etc...
Had our 03 model since new and couldn't fault it! Very economical, 10-10.5l/100km city and 8.5l/100km highway!! Very comfortable and not a thing has gone wrong with it!! Unlike our 2005 berlina wgn. At least once a month it was in the service centre getting something else fixed >:-( GREAT CAR!! GREAT ENGINE!
Not very spaceous on the inside, especially for the rear occupants. although boot space is impressive for a mid size car! Resale value!

Good
After owning a Falcon (2000) and a Commodore (2004) I purchased a 2003 Magna Executive. The fuel consumption was dramatically lower than the others, the ride is comfortable and handles quite well. I would choose a Falcon or Commodore if there were to be 4 adults or 2 adults and teenagers as the legroom isn't the best. Good features. The gearboxes are stronger than previous Magnas and being a tiptronic version (2003) this was a plus; however, the gearbox in short terms is most the part electronic and has no serviceable parts and isn't as strong ...Read more
as the Commodore or Falcon - can be an expensive replacement (if you are towing, the Falcon is the best choice of all three) and those who own or are considering owning one, ensure the Mitsubishi Diamond oil is used for the transmission - this is extremely important. Being a front wheel drive and having a good amount of power, the take off is EXCELLENT. The power is there when you need it most and I can comfortably say it was better than both Commodore and Falcon (Commodore brought down by drive-by-wire/electronic throttle). The vision is poor through the rear windscreen causing major differences in actual distance from an object and assumed distance. Driving from Gold Coast to Sydney was very comfortable; however, the Commodore grips the road slightly better and the body can feel 'jaggedy' on some roads. Bulk depreciation has taken place and therefore shouldn't move a lot for a while; however, the Magna has been known to be a hard car to get rid of. My case goes against this as I purchased it the 2nd day it was advertised and sold it the 4th day I advertised it. Overall great performance, reliability and comfort with few downfalls that other cars will have in other areas anyway. Perfect for a first car, small family or daily run around. Cheaper in regular costs but possible high irregular costs if you don't look after it properly. Fuel efficient, reliable, powerful, comfortable for front seats Legroom in the back, dash layout slightly dated, not as firm on the road as competitorsSimilar opinion? Good All rounder
I currently own a TL VR AWD for approx 4yrs. In that time had no dramas at all. I would consider myself to be tough on cars as far as driving goes, this car grips on wet grass (not even kidding), leaves normal cars for dead in the wet! Super safe but needs a suspension upgrade in my opinion if spirited driving is in you. Eg.springs, shocks to get the most out of it otherwise you get to much understeer and rolled tyre edges other than that does the job fine for me.

Excellent
I have a TL ES 2004 and I just love this car. For the cost, it was the best car around, and still is. I have driven this car interstate and it was such a pleasant drive, and a very reliable car.
Before this car, I had a TS 1994 model, and it was reliable and comfortable too. So glad that I updated it, and that I didn't go for the other options as I know I wouldn't have been as happy. I just love my car.
It's just lovely to drive.
Would have liked the backseat just a tad larger so it could fit two kids car seats and an adult with a little more comfort.

Good
A good honest car, the 2004 TL AWD - it has good standard features that the other Aust makers had as options only - the 5 speed auto is a better drive than the 4 speed in the front wheel drive models - or get a manual. A better drive than the equivalent Falcon or Commodore of the same era. I would buy one again due to the good reliable service it has given so far.
AWD ALL WHEEL DRIVE!! Sure footed and handles well for a stock family car. Safety features of AWD, ABS, 4 air bags, seat belt pre tensioners. 5 speed auto is a gem - the first 5 speed...Read more
