Hi,
I have a 2011 MN Triton 2.5 DID Auto with 117000km. It has a vibration over 2000rpm and it gets worse as the revs increase. It seems to come from the engine and not the drivetrain. Any ideas what to look for?

Hi guys I've got a mitsubishi triton auto diesel 2.5 122000km I've got this issue where she's not throwing a fault code but goes into a sort of limp mode I've taken it to 2 mechanics now n neither could help,filters seem fine a little carbon built but not too bad said the mechanic.changes the map sensor cleaned the air flow sensor but again it didn't always do the limp mode thing usually after a few runs around it will start to do it it usually come good again but it just depends...No fault code!! What could it be???? Please i need help

At about 150,000 km, close to 3 years ago, I had my 2011 MN Triton Cruise Control regularly let go when cruising on level highway at normal speed, not under load climbing. Took it to local Mitsubishi who did a book service and ran a diagnostic engine check, they updated my factory engine chip, I have not had the problem back since then.

I presume you recently replaced the spark plugs, added fuel injector cleaner etc. at the tune up, & still no improvement. Have you put in a new air filter & fuel filter? They may be partly blocked, even if you did replace them at Mitsus recommended distance.

Obviously too rich & wasting far too much fuel. Have a diesel mechanic fix it soon. While you wait to see a mechanic next week or ASAP, put a bottle of fuel cleaner in the tank, as you should every 5000 km, & that may help it a bit. Police will book you for polluting us, the general public, so fix it quickly, & save fuel.
Sounds like a DPF problem, have it reviewed by a mechanic.

Check with a panel beater who may be able to spray some rustproofing to halt the rust, if not too bad. Did you get a roadworthy certificate with the ute? Ask the transport dept. if it was a false report.

Yes
You can't do it yourself properly. What does your air cond specialist say? After he finds & fixes any leak, it should work well. Don't forget you must use the air every week or two for 5 minutes or more to keep the seals lubricated & STOP leaks, as it tells you in the cars handbook.
