Hi Leo, does your Crown have the 1MZ-FE 3.0L V6 engine in it? If so, the Mobil 1 DataTek website recommends Mobil 1 5W-30 or Mobil Super 2000 X2 10W-40.

Choosing the correct oil viscosity really depends on the climate you live in. There are lots of good websites out there explaining this. If your car is a Japanese import, then the manual will probably state a quite thin oil viscosity, similar to the northern states of USA, as it's quite cold in these regions.

In warmer climates eg. in the Southern hemisphere between the Equator and the Tropic of Capricorn, then you would want to select a slightly higher viscosity of oil, e.g. Mobil 1 5W-30 or 5W-50 if it's really warm.

If you have oil leaks in your engine though, then proper repairs and regular preventative maintenance of your engine really needs to be carried out on a regular basis. Regular engine oil changes with synthetic engine oil (preferably from new), = a happy healthy engine. Hope this helps.
