A safe bet for first time parents
When expecting our first kid, my only buggy requirements were that it was simple, that it could fit into our tiny car and that I could retain my man-card when pushing it in public. We settled on the Mountain Buggy Swift which easily fulfilled all three of my pre-child, narrow-minded requirements.
Since now understanding what it means to have a kid, my buggy requirements have changed slightly.
It must:
Easy to manoeuvre (so grand parents can take kid out for long walks without parents being present).
Kid comfortable and likes being in b...Read more

Average
Mountain buggy was ok up until 4 months.
When my Bubs hit 4 months, the seat was not deep enough and if it wasn't for the groin strap he would slip out.
I m now having to buy another stroller as Bubs looks too uncomfortable compared to the other Bubs at mothers group.
Easy to manoeuvre
Seat too shallow

I LOVE this pram!
I have NO regrets in buying this pram. It's compact and light yet durable and sturdy. It's easy to steer. I'm often often weaving it through isles in shops with just one arm and its breeze. I love that it fits through all the skinny isles and doors when most other brand prams get jammed. It folds up easy and comes with many accessories too. My bub loves it, shes comfortable and the tyres allow for a smooth ride. The viewing window in the hood allows me to see bub even though shes facing away from me. Highly recommend this pram!
It's compact size and its modern look.

Do not buy the new Swift - it will cost you money in replacement parts
My sister has had a Mountain Buggy Urban for 6 years and I love the way it handles all terrains so I thought I would purchase one myself. However when I bought my stroller I decided on the Swift due to it's more compact size. Unfortunately I did not realise that Mountain Buggy's are no longer made in New Zealand and that the quality has gone down terribly. I have had the Chinese made Swift for 2 years and in that time I have had to buy an entire new wheel, 3 new tires, 3 new inner tubes, multiple new bearings and I will soon have to replace the...Read more
entire handle bar area as the rubber has split all the way across and is uncomfortable to hold. All up this has cost me an extra $200 in 2 years. My sister meanwhile has never had to replace a thing on her NZ model in 6 years. There is a huge difference in the quality. Mountain Buggy is not the company it was so positive reviews are most probably referring to the NZ made models, which I would advise you to buy second hand on ebay. Compact size, good handling Poor quality parts. Tires wear out after a few months and other parts wear out far too quickly. Expensive to replace parts.Similar opinion? Has been good for us
This pram was recommended to us by friends for our first child and is the only pram we've owned so I don't have much to compare it to.
We've had it for about 18 months now and its been used regularly each week for long walks and for the occasional run without any major issues.
It fit (just) in the back of our Mazda 2. The folding mechanism is nice and straight forward and when folded the pram is reasonably lightweight and manageable, although a locking mechanism would make it easier.
Main issues we've had are:
- flat tyres!!, they are ...Read more

Very very happy
Iv got one baby but babysit others so i love this pram. Its the Best pram, small, easily moveable in shops :) light, can take 2 kids either on scooter or foot step! Comfy from new born to older. Love the adjustable handle and lock in wheel. Great break that can hold up on hills.
Easy to push

Tough, has the ability to be horribly overloaded and take it.
Bought in 2006 and still in daily use today with the latest child. Regularly used as a load carrier between our local carpark and our appartment and has at times had 100 kg of IKEA flat packs placed on it for over 1 km. Got the upgraded canvas fabric and it has lasted well. Thought a couple of times about getting an umbrella stroller as well for public transport ( it is large and bulky when collapsed) tried a lot of others but nothing pushes as well as the Mountain Buggy or is as practical.
Pushes well, holds additional 5-7 yr old on front foot step.
Not real small when folded.

Loved this pram !
Bought this pram for my son whilst I was pregnant and have loved it since day 1! Soo easy to push around (I'd walk with my friends who'd struggle to push their prams or get caught in aisles) loved the bassinet attachment and just in general loved this pram. Used it everywhere! At the park/shops/beach...nothing was hard.
Only downside I didn't enjoy was the storage basket, was just hard to put things in it since the gap was small. I just added handy clips for my bags and a universal cup/key holder to the handles.
Also with the wheels, jus...Read more

Fantastic pram
We bought the Swift pram and then the carry cot unit when it was on sale. It was great with the carry ot and now my little man is sitting up in the front facing configuration. It is easy to open and fold and put in the car. The only criticisim - if any - is that when the pram is in the sitting up position the fabric folds are a bit bunchy around bubs head. I also bought the sun shade which is great as it allows a good air flow but keeps any nasty bugs and flies out and bub can still see everything.
Easy to open and close.
Fabric is a bit bunchy when in a full sitting position.

Nimble pram for people on the go
I was deciding between the Mountain Buggy Swift and the Baby Jogger GT. Went for the Swift in the end, as Baby Jogger GT had a huge back order, and glad I did. One priority for my pram was it had to be light weight as would be lifting in and out of the car god knows how many times. The Swift is 9.5kg, alot of other prams are 11kg. Another priority was a good turning circle for supermarkets and tight places, the Swift is very nimble and narrow. Another priority was wheel size, we live near alot of gravel walking tracks so needed wheels that coul...Read more
d handle more than a concrete footpath or shopping centre. The Swift ticked this box also. The way a pram folds also counts. The Swift collapses easily. Finally the last consideration was that I could lean on the handle to pop the front wheel up to go up and down kerbs easily, the Swift easily does this. Downfalls of the Swift are, no suspension so can be a bumpy ride when a newborn baby is in the bassinet (which you purchase seperately), however I think if there was suspension you couldn't pop the front wheel up so easily. Another downfall is we had a few press studs come off the bassinet and pram which had to be replaced through our warranty which was a right pain. Also check it will fit in your car, we have a Nissan X-trail which it fits in well but I tried it in our 2012 Fiesta and it didn't fit without the back seats down. Another down size is smaller undercargo space for shopping. But you can't have everything. Overall this is a great 3 wheel pram if you're active and get out and about frequently. You see a lot of ladies end up buying a cheap little stroller after a while because their prams are too big and cumbersome. Try setting them up and down and lifting them to the height of your boot in the shops before you buy! Good luck with the quest of buying the best pram for you! Easy to operate, I'm fussy and this is a good buy. 2 press studs fell offSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love this pram!
I bought this pram in August 2012 for my second baby. I previously owned the Urban buggy which I found to be too large to maneuver around cafes and shops however loved the fact that it was a good jogger pram which could go on any surface. I am very happy with the Swift as it is very compact and light while still being very sturdy and durable. I bought the bassinet which I found very easy to clip in and out of the frame and the whole pram lifts easily in and out of my car which is a 4WD so quite high. The fact that it is more compact means I...Read more

Great all round stroller
Got the buggy this year (2012), and love it. It folds down really easily, has adjustable heights for the handle bar which is so handy!! also its quite light weight, and can carry up to 35 kg. Baby can lie down flat or anywhere in between upright and flat. This means you can use on any aged baby, up to a 4 year old. The belt does up in a complicated manner, but its good because toddlers cant work out how to escape. I find it shades my baby fine, especially with the sun shade attachment (although this does cost extra unfortunately). Easy to use o...Read more

Great all round pram!
I've had this pram for about half a year. This is the pre-2010 NZ model.
I'm overall pretty happy with this. It folds very easily and is very sturdy. I can put a rather heavy nappy bag over the handle and it doesn't tip over. It's pretty maneuverable and easily moves over rough surfaces.
My bub loves it and sleeps really well in it.
There are, however, a few things that I don't quite like about it.
1. The sun gets in the eyes of my bub quite a fair bit.
2. Because it is a pre-2010 model, it is quite hard to find parts and accessories fro...Read more

Great inner urban pram
Having pored over these reviews when selecting a pram thought I better report back. Have been so happy with this pram, it's small and maneuverable enough to get around inner city streets, in and out of shops and even on trams without hassle, and sturdy enough to deal with cross country walks through the park. We got the bassinet, I really wanted to see our bub, and because I walk daily it was worth it even though we swapped him to the seat at 3 1/2 months because he was grizzly and bored with only seeing the sky. of the car, though this wasn't our main focus as we rarely use it. Carry basket is small and difficult to fit in all my shopping but we knew this was the compromise we had to make for a smaller pram. Like the ease of adjusting the pram seat angle and view panel in the top. On sunny days I usually have to use a cloth to shade bubs face as hood doesn't project very far but this isn't really a problem. Sturdy, maneuverable, easy to use Small carry basket, baby gets sun in eyes a lotSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect pram!
I Love my MB swift ! I have had it for 14mths and my toddler and I are still enjoying it. My 14mth old girl is 97% for height and weight and has plenty of room to stretch out. I also purchased the matching bassinet which was a life saver during those first months to help little one get to sleep.

ying a baby, shopping or fixing an overflowing nappy bag. The width of the pram is valuable feature and the tyre wheels provides great suspension on footpaths, grass, gravel or any bumpy surface. The basket underneath is not huge, but is big and stable enough that it can take a couple of heavy shopping bags, kids backpacks or nappy bag. I purchased the VeeBee mesh bag from BigW or BabyBunting that can be attached near the handle to provide additional storage for light weight things like clothes, blankets, toys etc and also brought generic brand drinks caddy that sits accross the handle to carry two drinks (coffees) and has a zip compartment for personal items or snacks etc. Handle is adjustable, great for people of different heights. My husband is 6'4'' (193cms) and I'm 5'4'' ( 164cms) so the adjust able handle is perfect for us. 4 out of 8 mums in my mothers group have the MB Swift...and we all love it! Great Value, Easy to maneuvere with one hand, Compact, Width, light weight, good for small car boots, good resale value Pump up the tyres, accessories are expensive but essentialSimilar opinion? Very happy with purchase!
I am very happy with the MB Swift. I bought it on sale at BB for $459 and it came with a free storm cover. I also purchased the sun cover which zips onto the inbuilt sun canopy. The best part about this pram is the fact that I could clip my Safe and Sound Unity car capsule onto the pram frame by purchasing a $50 Mountain Buggy travel adaptor made especially for this. It meant the when baby fell asleep in the car capsule, I didn't need to wake him to place him in the pram, I could simply take the capsule with baby in it and clip the capsule into...Read more
the pram frame. It made outings so much easier and convenient. I didn't bother with purchasing the bassinet, and friends who did say they didn't use it long and wished they had bought the travel adaptor for the capsule to fit on instead. I've recently retired the car capsule and migrated my 5.5 month old into a car seat and into the main part of the pram. He loves it - happy to be facing the world and look at all the sights and sounds. The sun shade is worth the $40, soon as I zipped him in it when I was at a cafe having lunch, he fell asleep in it with out me rocking the pram, it creates a nice dark environment for him but is also transparent enough that he can still see out (and you in). The disadvantages of the pram is the size of the frame, whilst its considered a small pram, the way it folds means it collapses lengthways as opposed to folding in half. As such, it takes up a bigger foot print in my car boot than say the baby jogger which folds in half. I can't fit much in my boot after the pram. If I go grocery shopping, I have to remember not to take the pram and remove it from the car first. I drive an Audi A4 which has reasonable boot space but I find it's still squishy. It's great that its fairly easy to collapse, one button and it folds - this appealed to me heaps. Especially when others require several buttons or actions just to fold. It also doesn't have any parts which need to be removed to foldaway (except when capsule or bassinet attached). The seat of the pram when in an upright position bunches up behind the babies head, though it doesn't bother him, it looks untidy. I saw a YouTube review which showed how you can tuck it behind the flat part of the seat, but it's actually very hard to do, especially with the baby in it after he's woken up from a nap when I want to raise it from the recline position. I bought some shopping hooks to put on the frame which has fitted with the buggy well. I also hang my nappy bag over the pram handle and it holds the weight well. A friend of mine can't hang her nappy bag over her Bugaboo handles due to the separate seat which needs to clip on, the bag slips down. The brake is a little hard to flip up when I'm wearing sandalother thongs as it hurts my feet, would be better if it had a hand operated brake. It's very light and easy to push around. I recently hired a 4 wheel stroller while I was in holiday in another state and it was terrible to push around, I was so happy to be reunited with the Mountwin Buggy Swift when we returned, it really is quite effortless to push. My little boy is quite bappy to spend hours in the buggy. All in all, I am pretty happy with the purchase. Travel adaptor which lets you clip the Safe and Sound Unity car capsule directly into the pram frame. Light weight. Effortless to push around. Collapses lengthways instead of width ways so takes up a large footprint in the boot. Untidy seat when in upright position due to bunching near the head. Brake can be hard to turn off when wearing sandals or thongs.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent pram for on the go!
This pram has been awesome with plenty of well tested paths. It is very light to lift in and out of the car, and folds very easily. We have been able to easily move over many rough and varied surfaces such as light sanded areas and rocky roads. Easily moves around small spaces, such as shop aisles.
Very easy to maneuver, small and light
We did has some trouble with the wheels and having to replace, and pump them up.

Fantastic all round pram
very hardy & sturdy pram, great quality. the slim & light frame makes it very easy to get around cafes and small shops. Very comfortable for baby. so easy to fold & unfold. great for walking and even running! Break did become a little sticky after a while which meant I had to use my hand to release sometimes and the end of the hood bounces back a little instead of staying all the way down which is a little annoying.
good quality and so easy to get around
sticky break & hood didnt stay all the way down

Some faults but no regrets
We chose this pram because reviews said it rode on grass and sand. Grass is easy, sand is a bit of a push but I wouldntr try it with any other three-wheeler prams. It fits easily into a tiny car. Its handles are tall enough for my husband to push without hurting his shoulders. However the main issue I have with it is that it does not sit upright enough. For months my baby was annoyed in it and leaned forward. The crossbar is very important to stop him falling out but it falls off all the time - sometimes he kicks it off. ake one size pram liner for all their prams and it is too big for the Swift. It constantly slips around and sticks out. We have lost three tyres in a year but I'm not sure this is mountain buggy's fault. I'd recommend keeping a spare in your car if you can as it's impossible to push with a a flat tyre. This model doesn't take a toddler seat, and it doesn't fit many capsules, however I am still hoping to use it for our next baby. Compact, agile Not upright enough. No toddler seat. Not enough capsules fit it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
