i have had my bambillo pillows now for 18 months and they have started to go flat as soon as I lay down on them, can i restore them?
Kristy Petrizzaasked
We bought two bambillos and its been two nights of hard and stiff still. Even let them stay out of package for twenty four hours before using them. Why are they so hard I've tried punching . Why?
3 answers
Hi Kristy, These pillows are NOT Bamboo -- it is false advertising -- it is just the covers that are Bamboo. Same as the mattress toppers it is just the covers that are Bamboo on them as well.
The covers are filled with leftover offcuts, of memory foam and they can be of differing sizes and so always feel hard and lumpy, also rather heavy.
I hope this has helped?
I bought the bamboo pillows and you need to give them over 2 weeks to soften, and do not put on a pillow slip at all..you can just throw one on top for the time being..once it softens you can fit it in a med or king size pillow case. you need patience..once its soft it just molds into the shape you want.
You need to take a third out of them. They are too full. Mine is perfect now and I made another pillow with the two I refilled. Perfect comfort now.

Can anyone help please. I bought the pillows without reading reviews...silly me. I have sent 2 messages to enquiry on chemical fumes. No one answered as yet.
1 answer
Hi Margarida,
I have never actually slept on the one I bought as I bought it for my Son to try as I knew he liked a very hard pillow, however as I do with ALL new things I buy, I ALWAYS wash them b4 I use so I did take the cover OFF and wash it b4 it was used, on a further note my Son hated it.
I wash clothes /sheets -- everything b4 use as they are treated with chemicals during the making.

Do I suppose to put a pillow case on my bamboo pillows?
1 answer
You would always need to put a pillow case on a pillow. But irrelevant anyway with the bambilo - After what I experienced when using the pillow, I believe it is so highly toxic, the best place for it is in the bin.
Everyone, please beware of this pillow!

I am wondering if these pillows are made in China....?.. They don't always follow health concerns for people. I am also mad at the fact you can't get your money back....all other pillows you can. Seems like a scam.
I bought cheapies after Christmas from a promotion at a shopping centre
I also have developed rashes & blisters on my arms and near my elbows -the main areas that have been in contact with the pillow (which is at the bottom of 2 other different pillows)
I went to the bambilo review, and after reading that just now, realise that the pillows are the probable cause of some pretty strange symptoms I have been experiencing (only since I started using them in January)
Felt as though I had a temperature (thermometer shows normal reading) and more recently blocked ears, sore eyes & generally unwell.
I've just thrown them out!
Omg
I thought I was going crazy.
I have had the same effects.
Did you get rid of your pillow? And did the rash go away?

I put my Bambillo in the wash and now it is heavy and not mouldable, are there any fixes?

How long do the pillows need to lay out?
1 answer
I don't quite undstand the question but if u mean till they fluff into shape, I had to literally squeeze them up to get them into shape. Be warned they are a hard type of pillow

What sizes do pillows come in?
1 answer
They seem to come in varying sizes, my Friends bought them off the TV and they were very large and she had to pay a fortune for pillow slips to fit them

Love my Topper but I now have an ongoing sinus problem. There must be something I can do about the smell? I haven't spoken with my normal voice in weeks and only difference in my life is the topper!

I get dry eyes when sleeping on it and think it is the cause as I travelled and had no problems until I came back after a month. The first night back and it started again. But I love my pillow!!!!

can the bambillo pillow be washed and put in a dryer?
3 answers
Sorry Tim, I don't know. I bought the mattress topper and got 2 free pillows but they are so high I couldn't sleep on them without getting a sore neck.
I gave the pillow the flick as it was to stiff so I no idea about washing it!
Hi Tim, I just checked my instruction label and it says it can be washed gently by hand but DO NOT put in the dryer

Do I need other pillowcases on my bamboo pillows. If so where can I buy new ones?
3 answers
Yes, even though the outer cover is soft, you will want to protect it. I would assume any bedding store or large retailers would carry them.
I bought some "Queen Size" pillow cases from Spotlight. They were only in a few colours and only a generic brand but at least they fitted
Hi there, i make all size pillow cases if anyone is wanting any custom made.
