Is it from Peru or China?
I think this is possibly from China going on the research of someone who actually asked Nature's way if it came from Peru. They said they sourced from all over the world and listed many countries including China but not Peru. When I realised this I took it back to Coles for a refund as I had not opened it.
Maca can have side effects like any of these supplements and some say it could be dangerous if you have thyroid issues.

Terrible
Hi All,
I come from Peru and all my life I have had Maca powder in Peru and I was happy to have found some here in Australia, however when I tried it is so different to the real Maca. Sorry but this is not the real deal, flavourwise is terrible, I had to stop taking it.

Made me so sick
Maca powder by natures way is obviously full of aspartame as I have been so sick 2 days in a row after adding it to my smoothies
I react to aspartame and I'm reacting big time
Don't buy it

Nature's Way Maca is not real maca
I had bioglan maca powder initially the results were good felt energetic overall. Then I tried Nature's way maca - i gained weight drastically and body felt itchy looks like they have added something to make up weight and their margins.
Definitely not a real deal.

Nature's Way Super Maca Powder - perhaps best for monkeys
Having spent much time in Peru and Bolivia, I am well acquainted with Maca powder and the benefits thereof. So Initially I was very happy about seeing this product on our local shelves and widely available. The Nature's Way Super Maca Powder is available at all Chemist Warehouse outlets as well as direct, online. But it should also be pointed out that Nature's Way Super Maca Powder and the BIOGLAN Superfoods Maca Powder all originate from PharmaCare Laboratories Pty Ltd in Australia. And if one looks at their respective websites, they both prov...Read more
ide the same physical address and contact numbers. Chemist Warehouse carry both brands. I bought the 100g Nature's Way Super Maca Powder from Chemist Warehouse. And here is where my problems started as I was not convinced that Nature's Way Super Maca Powder was the genuine South American Maca as implied on their website. All it states is that Maca powder originates from Peru and the Andes - but specifically avoids stating where their product is from. But it does claim 3 x more energy than bananas leaving me to believe that Nature's Way sees us all as monkeys..... So I wrote to them regarding my concerns. Since then, there have been a number of emails from them but not one has addressed any of my queries - and I have challenged them repeatedly on this matter. And I quote from my original email to them: "THIS IS NOT the Maca powder I know. In fact, it is much darker than the norm when mixed with water. It also tastes vastly different from the norm. So much so I do not believe this is genuine Maca powder. So I pose this question - just what is it????? And IF this "Natures Way" Super Maca Powder contains SOME Maca powder - what is it mixed with????? Please revert to me soonest." This was their response: "The product contains Maca powder, however there are numerous colours which Maca can be found but the most predominant varieties are; the black maca, the red maca, and the yellow maca. This obviously can allow for variations in colour and taste." Please note, all they say is that their product contains Maca powder.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
