Ripped off by 'FREE' trial

Responded to 30 day free trial and joined for standard service and was automatically upgraded to premium (wow) however premium requires 25mps and our internet cant cope so no free 30 day movies . Rang Netflix and they wont drop us back to standard service which is 5mps until we are contracted . Although in breach of several consumer laws in my opinion it's 'bad luck cant help' At least we can withdraw 3 days prior to the so called 30 day free trial . As you can see by the following reviews Netflix is better avoided and in my opinion suffers questionable corporate morality .

I don't want to watch series, I want to see movies. good ones, not Netflix movies.
I do not keep paying for watching a few old movies that I've seen many times already

My netflix viewing days are coming to an end. The invasion of Spanish made shows has escalated significantly over the last few months, which gives some fuel to the rumours that Netflix are not doing so well, Sure, Grand Hotel and Queen of the South etc., are great shows, but along with that, there is a lot of stuff that would normally fill up free to air. Trying to find an alternative is not easy, but try we must.

Good...but could be great !

I've had Netflix for a couple of years now.
I'm not an addict but I do like to pick my own movie and watch it at my leisure....no bloody commercials !
Woo-Hoo !...
....and I love the fact that I can stop and start a movie and when I return, it remembers exactly where I left off.
I rate netflix as "good", not "great" and knock two stars off a five star rating for one reason.
When the movie ends and the credits roll, netflix in it's misguided wisdom chooses to cut short the credits and roll a bloody trailer !
C'mon netflix people !
Let the credits roll !
Surely I'm not the only person who likes to peruse the credits and enjoy the music soundtrack that goes with it.

Not enough feel-good content.

I'm sad to say I'm finally letting go of my Netflix subscription.

I've run out of things to watch and it has become crazily boring.

All I ever see is catalogues and catalogues of sci-fi, dystopian and dark fantasy series and movies. There's hardly any decent comedy series or even movies on Netflix. There's few female-friendly shows that don't have lame science fiction back stories.

There's just barely any "feel-good" content and for that reason, I'm out.

Is this a sign the world is getting darker and darker as people are leaning toward more darker content?

That's a very worrying thought.

They have raised the prices to $14 for 2 screens and $20 for 4 the content is still rubbish it seems they are following the Foxtel business model to overcharge for an average service

What good is a $20 gift card if the cost is $13.99? You can't use multiple cards on your account, so the remainder just never gets used. What a waste

Signed up for free trial got charged immediately have to wait up to 30 days to get my own money back I never authorised them to take customer service extremely unhelpful. I Was charged because someone else signed in on my device to a completely different account. DO NOT USE NETFLIX YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF!

Pathetic glitchy software no support

When I try to start Netflix on my Samsung smart TV quite often it just shows the profiles and keeps showing the working symbol and will not respond. Got to help and it gets stuck on one option even though it has nothing to do with my issue.

Family loves it

We have had Netflix for a while. Good selection of shows. My son loves downloading movies for long trips in the car. I wish they would update movies more regularly, after a while it gets boring seeing the same selection. They have just increased there prices saying its to provide better content. Yet to see how this goes.

Charged me 3x in one month, wouldn't refund

Netflix charged me $30 one month without a change in service. I contacted them to sort it out and found out there was another account activated via my work email. Not sure how the other account was formed, but we never used it. Online chat was a disaster - time consuming and ineffective. I eventually got the two accounts deleted (or at least not being charged. I still receive spam emails from them) but Netflix refused to refund the $20 for the extra account that was never used. We've since switched to Stan and will never use Netflix again. They've lost a potential lifetime customer all to make ( or keep) $20 through dubious means. They were good before there was an issue, but once there is a problem they will not have your back. Beware.

It's been great with no issues to date but increasing the price significantly lost me. Sure, I could reduce my plan to the two devices from the current 4 devices (no need for ultra HD etc as it means nothing to me) but then our 2 young adults living with us would have Netflix and would leave us without or vice versa. Not cool Netflix, not cool!

Could be better

Have been hacked and had my email and password changed on me. Netflix handled it well and secured my account. The price keeps going up and dont believe its value for money anymore as it is getting boring watching the same thing over again. More movies need to be added. Have been enjoying Netflix original movies.

Dodgy deal. They ads one month free trial but I charged immediately after setting an account. contacted them using their online chat but NOTHING. Did not expect this kind of customer misleading.

got my account hacked, with proof! no refund possible and no way to permanently delete the service!! What a crazy idea! I have a service that has been compromised by hacking my password ( or their own system) and all I can do is change my password and wait for it to happen again. DO NOT GET NETFLIX.

Cancelled series

Is Anyone else peed off with the sudden cancellation of series e.g. Designated Survivor, Jessica Jones without finishing the story line??? I am reluctant to start any new ones because of this reason. I feel cheated when left hanging....this seems the way everyone is going these days

This is 2022. Why should we pay so much more for UHD, its the new normal......Amazon is my new favourite streamer, 7bucks and awesome content, including 4K. Disney plus clocking in at 9bucks lots of 4K....
