Netflix were still offering 1 free month trial in Australia but then they started charging people straight away. I cancelled my 1 month free trial after less than 2 weeks and then I found out they charged me for a month anyway. Tried to get a refund but they refused. Dodgy company who sneakily removed their 1 month trial without telling anyone!

Their website says you can try netflix and gives you the impression that you can try for free similar to their competitors. But dont continue with the process as there is no free trial and you will be charged full amount.
I have contacted their customer service and told them I am trialing disney+ and stan I would like to try netflix even just for a day to decide which one i would go to. They said no free trials to australians, then they deactivated my account that i initially set up without even asking me. That was rude and I am glad I did not give them a single cent yet.
Now seeing all other reviews here confirms my experience and saves me from future frustrations and problems. I don't see myself subscribing to Netflix anymore.

The same titles show up again as you search through their library because the selection is extremely limited. Once you've watched the small number of high quality productions, there is mostly just boring dross to choose from, such as Mills and Boon quality romance movies, crappy cheaply produced crime series and awful sci-fi. Would definitely not recommend.

Netflix has a huge library but we cannot access shows from other countries, which is so disappointing!
Surely it cannot be too hard to open additional programs, especially now when so many are looking for something different to watch? This is an opportunity for Netflix to really grow their customer base, to make their product so good that viewers won't leave in droves when this crisis finally abates. Personally I'd love to see old British comedy shows but there's so much to chose from. We just want, need access!!

Dealing with this right now. Account hacked from overseas, received email from Netflix telling me of the overseas access, then my email address has been changed, which locks me out of the account. So use the help function on the netflix website and get asked to enter my credit card details to verify me!!!!
No way, not entering my credit card details online after the account was just hacked.... Response.... Dont worry its all secure.... Really????
I ask them to shut down the account..... Response, im sorry we cant do that until you are verified....
The common sense that im in Australia, i get correspondence from them that someone overseas has accessed the account and changed the email address isnt enough???

I am sick and tried of foreign language and caption shows on Netflix. I speak English I Pay for and expect English speaking shows. It would be appreciated if Netflix would look at reviewing their content.

Be very careful giving your card details to this company. I signed up for the free 30 day account advertised on the internet. They immediately charged the card and then give no option to allow you to delete the card unless you replace it with the details of another card.

I believe you don't have to threaten your customers to get them to agree to your terms and conditions, who ever worded it should be promptly fired as should the person that approved it. Your business may be worth $20 billion but the people that own it are truly worthless. I will have to think twice about renewing my membership with Netflix again, maybe time to try prime video

I love my Netflix, it just seems to work when other streaming services seem to lag from time to time, My Netflix is ever so reliable, when I want to watch something (even with a slightly dodgy connection) it adjusts to your dodgy speed and reduces the quality to make sure the stream continues playing, seldom does it stop or just sit there buffering away, my Netflix is my go to when I need reliability, When the internet is running well, Netflix picture quality is superb, can't fault it at all, that said my only complaint with the great Netflix is that I wish the Australian Library was much larger, I hope that in the near future, Netflix steps it up in Australia and introduces a much bigger library, here's to hoping, lol.

Netflix Australia is really good, but it could be better. if you compare with other countries, australian netflix is the smallest one in its library. I know it is quite new in Australia still, but it should be better

Netflix Australia is so poor with keeping up with new series and movies I am swapping to You Tube. Cancelling Netflix subscription let’s hope a better competitor comes along, look forward to that.

Netflix is a great streaming service for a small cost. It has a really large library of titles, and they are constantly releasing Netflix Originals which are really great shows. It is a great price for such a great library.

Australian netflix is horrible, when are we going to get the other 7 thousand titles that the U.S and other countries have. Ive traveled a fair bit overseas and out of every country I've been to, australia is one of the worst.

I was overseas and in my Feb account I was overcharged by $10/- the difference between premium and basic account. I got back to netflix and was refused a refund as the issue was more than a week old.

Netflix was and is clearly and currently advertising on their webpage - https://www.netflix.com - TRY 30 DAYS FREE of their top offer, I signed up today 28th Feb 2020 only to be told it's not available and I will not be getting the advertised offer, but only after I signed up and paid for a month. Talk about false advertising and promotion. Pathetic. Yes, I will use it for the month that I paid for but will go elsewhere after that.
Customer service / chat very, very poor after signing up, so do not hold your breath for any logical support or positive resolutions.

If old D grade movies are your thing then Netflix Australia is for you. Documentaries are agenda pushing dribble and the Netflix originals are just rubbish. Don’t waste your money.

Netflix remains the premium streaming service. Its functionality trumps all others, with minimal drop out and a feedback mechanism for when you do have issues.
Its original content is premium too, like Bojack horseman, master of none, Russian doll.
The content focus could be refined. Sometimes less is more when the quality is right. Some shows, like the haunting of hill house, drop in writing quality midway through and it feels like the focus is to hook the audience, rather than engage them. Woebegone the golden age of television, where content was sharp.

I closed my account and still got charged.When i called for refund, they mentioned will refund within 30 days and still after 1 month I haven't got my refund. When i called today, they mentioned that they didn't process the refund properly last time. Worst service.

Got my free month, lots of good series that i haven't seen, some decent movies but it needs more of the recent good movies, price is good although when i start to get through the stuff i haven't seen i might suspend the membership for a while.
