Typically this will depend on the brand and type of belt installed and driving conditions however as a rule of thumb if the belt appears in good condition and isn't squealing then it should be fine, if the belt does squeal somewhat you could see if there is room left on the adjuster, some cars theses days even have a min/max limit for belt stretch marked on this adjuster.

I would guess that the fan belt will most likely still be serviceable for many years to come as they only really fail for lack of maintenance (slipping and burning out, or falling off onto the road way due to being too loose)

After some discussion with my partner, we too have discovered this issue, it does not appear to effect the operation of the car and all the fuses I can find are in good working order, however I was unable to confirm the operation of a mystery relay.. I think this was more my testing method rather than a faulty relay (and the input/output of that relay should be fused anyway) I would suggest that if it were a fuse issue the shift lights would share a fuse with dash lighting or center console objects like USB port, CD player etc.

Another common issue could be grounding, that is tracing the negative side of the circuit back to the frame of the car and making sure it has a good firm contact with no corrosion or gunk potentially insulating it. This could be very tricky however. Wiring may likely tie into a "common earth" on the loom that is attached to the frame in a nearly impossible to access location, there may be a break.. many things..
if you are not comfortable spending the time or buying the tooling to troubleshoot (A cheap multi meter) it could get very expensive for an auto electrician to chase down.

This is difficult to diagnose without seeing the car but I will do my best.

I would suggest checking all the wiring harness connections in any area you worked on, something may be unplugged causing the computer to throw a fault, preventing the car from being put into gear to avoid potential damage.. if you have and OBD tool ($20-$30 from Supercheap or similar) you could check for any computer faults, this would help narrow things down.
An OBD tool would be a good idea anyway to allow you to clear the "Service Now" notification on the dash if you are doing your own services.

Are you attempting to reset the "drivers" clock in the gauge cluster or the center console clock on the GPS/Reversing camera? as they are both set independently of one another (I am guessing the center console system was an afterthought)

i just did a google search and found quite a few You tube videos on how to disable shipping mode also interesting reading on qashqai forums & how to disable shipping mode there is about 5 steps to follow it should have been done by the dealer before sale

Its not only nissan all cars imported in to the country are in ship mode from the factory its to protect batteries & electrical systems while they are transported once they arrive & unloaded ship mode should be disabled but sometimes 1or 2 can miss out when they out to the dealers they should be checking the ship mode is disabled. Do a google search i dont think its that hard to disable ship mode.once it is disabled there wont be any more issues with it.

could be anything from needing a service to a faulty sensor take it to a mechanic its the only way you are going to find out whats wrong.

Yeah she reecntly had her 115,000 km service . Guy said she about 8km behind in speedo and needs re calibration. But nothing was said about the bigger issues..

where did you get your service done? if it was through a nissan dealership they have a culture where they stamp the book but dont do a service or only do half a service & charge customers. If its losing power obviously there is a problem. Get it checked by another mechanic & get him to drive it.

I had the exact same problem with my 2016 Qashqai Nissan just kept bullsh*tting because they didnt know what the problem was & too lazy to look. I ended up taking it to a local independent mechanic he put it up on the hoist took the front wheel off & found the calipers on the front brakes were sticking & loose causing the brakes not to release which was causing a clunking sound. took the back wheels off & the back calipers were loose also. spray some wd40 & tightened up the calipers. it fixed it. He did say its a common problem with the Quashqai & nissan should pick it up during services. The calipers should be checked every 5000kms.

dont know about the dualis but you can change from 2wd to 4 wheel in an xtrail while the vehicle is in motion it takes about 10seconds for the computer to pick it up the dualis is has the same transmission as an xtrail

My 2015 ST hasn't had any problems with air conditioning (touch wood).

some xtrails had the same problem with air cons blowing hot air & turned out to be the air con sensor. i dont know if the Qushqai has got the same air con system. Nissan could never find the problem & told me i needed to replace the unit. i took my Xtrail to an Auto electrician who found the prob in under 5 mins & replaced the sensor
