No Pong (page 2 of 3)

Just started using this and within a few days my arms pits are red, hot, very sore. I'm so disappointed. It is painful even putting a top on at the moment.

I bought this one after using the bicarb free one which I loved, however the original has caused me so much irritation, my arm pits have gone red, with burning sensations, little lumps and just general pain. Also dryness. Will not buy again. Disappointed because I wasted money

Wife loved what the no pong original did for her until she tried bi-carb free it started to make her armpits very sore causing lumps used for 1 week but will not use it again seems like a good product but the body hates it

Initially I thought this product is great. No smelly underarms and easy to use. But after a week I developed an itchy rash. Disappointing. I bought four tins but won’t be using anymore.

I have never reacted to any type of deoderant until I tried this one. I do not have sensitive skin but this has caused burns and sores after one use.

I would love this product and give it 5 stars if it was just about the "no pong" affect. Unfortunately after I have used it for a week or two I get sore lumps under my arms. I think it is blocking the pores. When I stop using it they go away. I now only use it occasionally when I am at work or doing something physical that is going to make me sweat a lot.

unfortunately this product didn't work for me. the first couple of days was okay and then my skin started turning a dark brown - black to which it then started peeling. have never experienced this before so had no idea what was happening until it got bad quite quickly. so unfortunately for me, this product irriated and burnt my skin. really disappointed as ive been on the hunt for a good natural deodorant.

I tried 3 pots, including bi-carb free. For the first few weeks, it definitely worked as claimed. However, I started getting itchy and developing big sores and scabs under my arm. I stopped using and went to the doctor. The pH of no pong was too high for my skin that it actually burnt my underarm. It took weeks to heal and I was not able to use any deodorant in the mean time as the sores were huge and painful. Obviously it is not for everyone's skin type. I do have mild sensitivities but I'm not typically an extremely sensitive skin person.

I have tried other No Pong deodorants and loved them. However, this all natural low fragrance bicarb free is causing extreme itchy and rash on my underarms and along the side of my breast.

Used for one month with no worries then started to get bumpy red rash. Have never reacted to deodorant before. Stopped using and healed, tried using again but a day or two later rash returned. When didn’t have reaction seemed to keep BO away but not completely. Pretty devastated I can’t use as I bought a couple on sale. Not sure if I’ll take the gamble and try bicarb free.

Have tried all the No Pong options and while they definitely stop odour, regardless of which one I’m using, I develop a sore red bump like rash. Same thing happened with my friend.

I suffer from sensitivity around my underarm so I have been going around from one natural deodorant to another, reading reviews after reviews for years now. No Pong is probably the 2nd in my terrible list. I’ve tried the no bi-carb and original. The original does the job in taking the odour away but it doesn’t moisturise and protect the skin. I was left with a dark-colored skin due to the skin friction caused from just walking. I have since used a new brand and I am so glad there is a better brand out there that ticks all the boxes. No Pong no way!

Does what it says and stops odour but after 2 days of use, I had to stop using as my armpits developed a red sore rash :(
Willing to try the no bicarb version after I’m healed.

I loved no pong the first day I used it, it worked really well but by the second day my arm pits were red and sore covered in a rash. I’ve never had a reaction to anything else before.
I contacted the company and told them what happened, they offered to send me the sensitive version to try, I’m pleased to say the sensitive one doesn’t give me a reaction but it definitely doesn’t work as well as the original in stopping sweat and odour.

Started using no pong deodorant because it was given to me as a gift so I thought I'd try it out. Only used it for less than a week and it caused my armpits to burn and I got a red rash n lumps.

Like other reviewers, I too have broken out in painful lumps in the application area. I do not have sensitive skin so am surprised by the severity of the reaction. I will have to discontinue use which is really disappointing, I'd much prefer to support an Australian made, non aluminium based product!

Updated: This balm that smells amazing, and made me produce no body odour. I'm a very active, tall male, and without deodorant I would definitely have body odor. This felt like it wasn't clogging my pores like antiperspirant, and it washed straight off. Then after about 2 months the issue arose. I developed nasty rashes in the creases of both my armpits. I didn't notice until they became sore. I had to stop using it and start using cream. Or nothing at all. I then had no protection. I started using it again because I needed deodorant, and wante...

I like the product although I'm a bit lazy and I prefer an easy and convenient roll on. If they made these products in roll on that would be ideal because the smell is super nice and the product isn't as harmful as most deodorants on the market. Also, first couple times using the product it caused some mild irritation so the sensitive skin option is definitely better if you are more prone to reactions (not that I normally am).

I also got a rash, I can't believe how many people have said they got a rash and yet it's still on the market. I noticed they do have a sensitive one though, can anyone confirm that's better?

I bought 2 tins - the original and vegan varieties. I started using the original variety first. After about 10 days of use, I broke out in a rash under one armpit. I thought it might settle so I continued to use for another few days. The rash turned into large lumpy red welts on both under arm areas. I have had to discontinue use. I've now read that bicarb of soda can cause this. I think it was reasonably effective as far as odor prevention but not as good as a store bought one thought. A shame, I was really looking to using an Australian natural deodorant that didn't use plastic packaging.

I applied No Pong once and was thrilled because it worked so well – no sweat, no odour, even after a gym class! Second time I used it I got a super itchy red rash, so ad to stop using it and let my underarms recover.

Thought I'd try it again – unfortunately the same thing happened. Rash with red little bumps that's super itchy. Not sure what it is that makes it so reactive because a lot of reviewers seem to have the same issue.

The first few days using No Pong I noticed some redness and itching sensation, but I found the product very effective so I thought it might go away... But after a week some very painful bumps developped all over my armpits. I stopped all deodorant for a week to let my skin heal, but surprinsingly I didn't sweat at all. I think No Pong clogged my sweating glands, and in my search for a natural deodorant, that is not at all what I was looking for. I never read any comment about a skin rash caused by No Pong, but the exact same thing happened to a friend of mine so I thought it was important to write this.

I purchased the Original and Chai pots. Wonderful at first but after a week I developed red, inflamed lumps under both armpits that were very sore and itchy. Had to stop using.

Forgot about No Pong.. until I got an email from them today. It reminded me of the PAIN I went through. Thanks for reminding me to post a review.

Don't get me wrong... I loved it at first. Product did what it said... no smell...& it actually worked. I raved on about it to my husband... even made him sniff my armpits, I scratched my No Pong armpits.. AND made him sniff my damn hand. Yes... this product was wonderful!!!!

Bought this deodorant in July 2020 as I was looking for a natural alternative, I heard that the ingredient bi carb can cause dark staininh under the armpits, as I have had in the past, so purchased the new the bi carb free range both Spicy Chai and Sensitive, and have ended up with dark stains, so sad that I have had to stop using this now..and look for another!
